Negative experience: One of the worst companies to manage properties. I called about a leak occurring because of a crack in the toilet seat tank. I called as an emergency. The maintenance showed up after a month. He looked at it and said, it needs replacement . And I haven’t seen no one ever sense. It’s been almost month and half. Also one of the windows was broken over the night back in April. I called asking to fix it. They came and took the frame since April and I haven’t got it back. Horrible management. Zero manner from the manager. No one answer the calls at anytime of the day.

Negative experience: How about stop overcharging rentals and favoritism on "rich foreign" tenants just for one and three bedroom on certain places and update the website or stop falsely advertising when it's "available"

Negative experience: This review pertains to an unauthorized entry incident that occurred in my unit at the Berkley Building on December 19, 2024, at approximately 9:30 PM. My tenant reported that two individuals entered the unit using a key. They claimed to be from a company called Elite, but their presence was unexpected and caused my tenant significant distress. Elite Property Management/Silverleaf Property acknowledged the error and apologized, stating that their system was not updated. It appears they manage other units in the building but not mine. Due to the uncertainty surrounding the individuals' identities (whether they were legitimate employees or unauthorized individuals), the unauthorized entry caused significant distress to my tenant. As a direct result of this incident, I was compelled to take immediate steps to enhance the unit's security. These measures included installing a chain door guard and replacing the unit's lock, incurring expenses of approximately $200. I request reimbursement for these expenses, which Elite Property Management/Silverleaf Property has declined to assume responsibility for.

Negative experience: They started out great. Now for the past few months ive been charged late fees when ive paid the rent days in advance (just left a message about that so hopefully someone gets back to me). Plus when i call nobody ever answers the phone. I need manteniance done !

Negative experience: We have had Elite manage our property for many years now. They do a horrible job.. They take your money and provide little to no service. We were told our sprinklers were fixed and they weren't. When approached about this, they gave us the run around, and let our grass turn brown. They allowed weeds to grow past the city bylaw-restricted site and would only spray once complaints with the city were filed. They would not cut down the weeds even though they walked right by them every time they cut the grass. Now that it is winter, we have not received grading and no one will return our emails about if and when this will happen. Elite takes your money and runs!!!!

Negative experience: Now trading as Silverleaf property. Nearly annual change of ownership, inconsistent accounting, and "forgot" to increase the rent two years in a row after explicit instructions. My rental "investment" is hemorrhaging money in no small part due to this company's incompetence and lack of service.

Negative experience: Hell. I would have been better off in a bachelor suite in Hell. I can’t believe I paid actually money for an apartment here. Hell has better options and at least has a consistent temperature. The worst part of renting with these folks is the financial backside pummelling with lack of regard for lubricant. Please, get an apartment here if you are keen to pain and walking funny. It’s a hard pass for me though.

Negative experience: Went over two weeks without hot water. Was promised a thermostat to control the heat which ran non stop all day which was never received after 6 months of asking. Took them over 2 months to return my damage deposit. Shady company with horrible customer service. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Negative experience: Just rancid. Cannot get anything scheduled, rude and disrespectful. Very disorganized. They have not had the garbage emptied since June 11th. They also haven't payed the water bill.

Negative experience: Since the new owners took over this place is gone to the dogs. We have an ongoing incident that our condo haven't had a garbage picking 2 weeks...we're overflowing with garbage and Elite isn't returning messages. Don't trust your condo to these clowns. Edit: the board went with a different property manager due to the repeat and multiple issues. Save your time and money. Go with literally anyone else.

Negative experience: I would not wish interactions with Elite on my worst enemy. I have not interacted with one person from elite who possesses adequate communication skills. It must be in the job description to be lacking in this area. Please stay far away from properties (rental or for purchase) managed by this company for your sanity.

Positive experience: 1 star is being generous. As an owner, it's sad to see a management company let a building fall apart. They take the cheapest route when fixing things, if the problem is even addressed at all. Cold air blows in the halls during winter and hot air blows through the summer. Property maintenance is minimal and the party deck has been closed for over a year, yet somehow condo fees keep rising. This company is all about lining their own pockets, rather than providing the service us owners are PAYING FOR. The new owners of Elite have really taken the company for a dive. No one even answers the phone anymore, doesn't even ring, just goes straight to busy. How do you provide a service when you ignore the people who hired you?! Update: A new company has taken over and things are feeling promising. We have a very active & involved property manager who is trying really hard to get things back on track. I'm hopeful

Negative experience: Very poor customer service. I'd scheduled a showing but the agent didn't show up. After I make several calls ended up he says I have another showing somewhere else. I'm very sad because I got off from work for that.

Negative experience: My daughter applied at 3 properties with a person named nick at elite property well 1 cockroach infested place he would let her have it that being said applied at another property he never ever responded and today went looked at another property and he just sped away when my daughter pulled up and the office excuse is they have no clue why they hang up because they can’t answer your question I honestly think nick is a rAcist person I wonder if the owners know what they are doing one property has been for rent since February owner has lost a lot on revenue on that property

Negative experience: *Do not move into properties managed by them, you will not get mail. Canada Post told me they've been trying to get a hold of them and they aren't making any effort to respond* I'd call then slumlord management if this wasn't a condo building they managed. Sewage backed up into my bathtub and Elite wouldn't even answer the phone (during their stated business hours.) The front door is frequently broken; for months it was the RFID sensor not unlocking the door when it reads a valid tag, and for the last week or so, there's been plywood instead of glass (see picture) and the frame doesn't close properly without significant force to make the latch click. The front 2F fire door is MUCH harder to open than all the others and had significant air leakage due to not fully closing, which defeats the whole purpose of a fire door. ETA: after months, they half fixed the fire door, it closes all the way now but still takes significantly more strength to open than the rest, and the front RFID sensor doesn't unlock when the fire alarm goes off, so unless someone remembers to prop it open on the way out, firefighters have to go all the way around to the back door

Negative experience: Not properly organized. I signed a lease and gave me a different unit which they never told me that there was a change of plans. I paid the damage deposit to get the keys but never got the unit I was supposed to be in that I signed the lease. I’ve been begging them to give me back my damage deposit since I changed my mind not moving in. And I haven’t got my money and I’m being patiently waiting for them to call me back and I think it’s just an excuse and unprofessional not to get back in contact with you.

Negative experience: Unreliable and unprofessional. Maintenance requests go ignored, and it takes months even a year to replace major appliances. And not at the hands of Landlord, but the fact our specific manager took over a month to even contact our landlord. If you’re looking to hire property managers that actually take care of your property, look elsewhere.

Negative experience: They don't care if you die of heat stroke. Heat has been left on at 27 in the building and no one has a key to access the locked thermostat. No one has answered a phone in two weeks. This company should be shut down.

Negative experience: One of the worst company ever. I was customer for more than a year. Never caused any trouble. I shared the basement with the other 2 tenants and all of had equal share. When I was moving out I gave them notice a month ago and asked them to do inspection for my security deposit. It's been more than 3 months I moved out and still there's no response from them . Whenever I check with them the receptionist just say he needs to check with the Rental team blah blah . To be honest this is frustrating and not acceptable. Tbh I'm not worried about my money I just want my name out of the lease. Only concern I have is what if any damage happens after I move out, who is responsible for that?

Negative experience: This is the worst property management I've ever encountered. Whenever there's an issue, responsibility is shifted, and deliberate delays in notifying homeowners result in extra charges. I don't understand why we employ this company. In the next homeowners' meeting, we will request a change. I've already contacted many homeowners, and they are dissatisfied with their services. High fees and lack of accountability make it a waste of money.

Negative experience: Been through 4 different property managers at this company in the past year in a couple condo buildings. They are the worst ran out out of our property mix. You can imagine the things that fall through the cracks with that type of turnover. I will do what I can to have the condo corps switch management companies

Negative experience: I was charged a condo fee twice for a given month. 5 weeks later, I still don't have it back. They also have charged me 108 dollars for simply dropping a spare key, without informing the charge first. Simply greedy.

Negative experience: I agree with Christina. We have had to call the police several times regarding our next door neighbor's behavior in a condo managed by Elite. They have done nothing!! Now there was a water leak in July and our condo was damaged. An outside company did do a survey of the damage but as of today nothing has been done despite numerous phone calls, messages left, and emails . Time for the condo owners to change management companies.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Have been a customer for several years and all was fine when no issues with tenants. When I have a serious problem with a tenant involving police and the safety of other owners in the building they are nowhere to be found. I have left countless phone calls, emails, text messages from my condo board… my condo board even went to the office in person and they still haven’t returned my call. Especially when I’m an out of town owner that needs their services. This type of service is embarrassing to say the least

Negative experience: Tried to view a property listed on Kijiji and filled out their pre approval application. Nobody called me back. Called the office every day for 4 days and nobody called me back. How hard is it to call and say it’s rented or set up a time to show? From what I read on the other reviews it’s normal for bad communication and poor service. I can only imagine what it would be like to rent from them.

Negative experience: I've used Elite to manage our peoperty for several years, and I must say that my recent experience has been quite frustrating. I was told the company was recently bought out, resulting in a significant upheaval in their operations, It's clear that many experienced employees left the company during this transition, which has had a direct impact on the quality of service provided. I understand that change is inevitable, but it should not come at the expense of client satisfaction. The communication with the management company has become nearly non-existent. Attempting to get in touch with my agent or the office has been an exercise in futility. Phone calls and emails go unanswered, which has left me feeling ignored. If anyone in the management see this review, do something now.

Negative experience: I have attempted to contact the office on multiple occasions to deal with an ongoing issue of cockroaches coming from another unit. It has been almost 2 months and no one has gotten back to me or sent someone out to deal with the issue. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible communication about pest control. They lead you on for months, don’t return calls during their reception hours and don’t communicate when the next treatment is supposed to happen. We wait weeks until we put all of our furniture back just to get a surprise letter that there’s another treatment. Do they not own calendars? Do they not understand planning? So much for a management group they can barely manage a Gregorian calendar.

Negative experience: Me and my wife got a place with them. We asked them 2 months in advance about taking over the neighbours Lease. They said it was a go and they’d get the paper work to me within that week. They didn’t. The guy who was working on my file then quit. So it got left on the back burner. I called once a week for 2 months with no reply. So the day we’re suppose to move upstairs they said the paperwork isn’t ready yet. But I asked 2 months prior for this to be done. They said it’ll be done tomorrow morning. The upstairs people then moved back in during the night while I was waiting for said paper work. Elite property management would not sign a 1 month lease so we could figure out a place to live. When this was their fault in the first place. They only wanted 6months or 1year lease. Me and my family are now living in a shelter thanks to them. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM

Negative experience: Rude employees and they refuse to fix anything but will up you rent the moment you ask them to fix something. Edit: July 5, 2023 I have been trying to contact Michael who responded to my review telling me to contact him for a couple months now with no reply. This is normal for Elite Property. This is what they have been doing to me for 1.5 years they have had control of my house. They try to make themselves look good to the public but wont actually fix any of the issues their tenants have and they will harass and bully their tenants any time they come around. This has been an ongoing battle with them, and if you complain, they raise your rent..

A simple request to replace a leaking main valve which was determine to be the responsibility of the property manager was not completed for weeks. After numerus follow up phone calls and messages, Elite put these request on the back burner with no actions.

Negative experience: I think it's rather telling that a review I posted a year ago just got a response last week. My issue was with pests in the apartment building. When I moved in, I specifically asked if they had had any problems with pests to which I was told no. A few months into my tenancy I found cockroaches in my suite. I called Elite immediately and was told they had never heard of such a problem in this building. After speaking with my neighbours in the building, I found out this was an ongoing issue for YEARS before I moved in. Then, when I moved out, the property manager tried to keep my damage deposit without properly notifying me and I had to go to the Office of Residential Tenancies to retrieve it. Total waste of my time.

Negative experience: Worst experience I ever had I lived in a house before and it was managed by elite as well it was a good house but at the end when I was moving they came and they made me pay 500$ for some dust on top of the fan and the Fridge So I decided to give them another chance and went to another house also managed but elite it was the worst decision I have ever made cause the house was terrible I lived there for 2 years, in the house there was a broken window in the house I went to the office and told them about it they said they well send somebody to fix and they gave me an appointment and a time when the person well come to the house and fix the window I waited and no body came to fix it it fell on my Siblings couple of time and it made a cut in there skin one time, so we went again to the office and made another appointment and waited again but nobody came again so I decided to move today and I give everyone who lives in house which is managed by elite to move out to any house.

Negative experience: Worst guys to deal with, do not go there. Wasted around $10000 for the work they did wrong. They do not even listen now. His name is Mike, they installed our fence and sprinklers that are actually in next property. When we ask him to fix it he is saying do what you want to do he is not fixing it. Also, paid for under deck area that have not even been touched yet and he’s doing nothing about it too.

Negative experience: Had a sweet for years and even tho the ladies in the office were nice it was the worst experience of my life. windows leaking, huge mold issues, rodent problems, frozen pipes in the winter and forced to have sponge baths or no baths for weeks in the winter and on and on. By the time we moved out we both had serious medical issues.

Negative experience: Friendly staff. The lady I met when I dropped in was really nice and sweet. Update: maintenance Mike gaslit me in a voicemail claiming he tried many times to reach me about maintenance requests I made. I responded to the ONE vm he left within hrs because I was at work. No response. Today they sent a guy to finally fix my oven (it's been almost 3 full months) and gave NO NOTICE of this. The dryer has a request on it from several months back. Do not trust these people. My landlord died and they haven't notified us of anything they drove out two other tenants. I called to complain about the maintenance guy not giving notice and about his gaslighting me and they told me to talk to him. They have no way or refuse to help tenants who are not THEIR tenants. So any landlords looking to hire them should be forwarded. Bad property management usually results in OWNERS taking liability. I know this from experience after the last time I had to deal with similar instances, THAT PM group went out of business. #shady

Negative experience: 4 weeks in follow-up can't fix the washer at our building. 3 unit empty have people looking for accommodation. They say they don't have any property available. Last yr when I move to Canada they answer to my accommodation request that I submit all papers like in 29 days was acting like they where providing me a government funding free housing or something. Absolutely hate it.

Negative experience: I had a viewing and no one showed up. Wasn’t asked to reschedule or to cancel. I called them to ask what was up, I was told the agent would call me back. Two days later and no call was received from them. Their lack of communication and professionalism is a 1 star in my opinion. Don’t waste your time with them

Negative experience: I used this company to rent my condo in 2020/2021 with countless issues and constant cheap fixes. Being charged for things being fixed that were never done properly or even at all. I wouldn’t recommend this unprofessional company to anyone looking to rent or use as a property management company. I wish I had read more reviews prior to signing on with them. One star is generous.

Negative experience: There is a mice issue in my apartment. I called, after a week they showed up with traps bought from Home Depot which don't work. I have called and emailed again, but I have not heard back from maintenance. They don't want to hire professionals to take care of the issues. They promise something and just forget about you.

Negative experience: Went for a viewing to look at an apartment to potentially rent. When discussing application I was told that I would have to provide ID, 3 months of pay stubs etc. No problem. Then I was told I would have to provide 3 months of my bank statements. I asked why. Told that it was to see what was was going in and out, how much was a balance and what my spending is. Unacceptable. None of their business and completely intrusive. Ever hear of a credit check?

Negative experience: STAY AWAY. The level of incompetence that this company has is laughable. Seriously, save yourself and anyone around you the headache of trying to get anywhere with them. I was a tenant and decided to leave before my lease was done, so I went ahead and lined up over 30 showings for people to take over and sign a new lease. Multiple applications in and nothing on their end. Kept me hanging for MONTHS because I didn't want to break my lease and leave them hanging. The receptionists are pitifully unorganized. Seriously just don't bother.

Negative experience: I have given one star (or else it would be negative stars) only because of the gentleman Brent who had shown us the condo in 2019 and who finished the final walk through in 2021. Brent was very professional and helpful. We rented the property near market mall and had to do a lease transfer. Justin was the guy managing our property that we were renting and was completely unprofessional and lacked any knowledge of a lease transfer. He does not respond to multiple calls, voicemails, emails or messages left at the reception. We followed instructions given to us by the reception in May and suddenly the policy changed in June and we ended up paying the rent for July even after vacating the Condo on 27th of June. Sally at the reception was not wanting to give information about Justin’s supervisor inspite of asking multiple times. The lease transferred was to an acquaintance and was asked for a character certificate from his spouse from Justin. Totally unnecessary. I agree with all the low rating reviews on here and seem absolutely true.

Negative experience: I have been meaning to write this review for a couple months now, but this company is the absolute worst I have ever had the un-pleasure to deal with. First they took forever to process my application and they need way to much personal information for said application. While I was there to drop off my application I hear someone who I presume to be the manager or owner screaming and swearing at his staff upstairs. that is absolutely ridiculous and illegal! It took them weeks to process my application and I had to look else where for a place. i do not recommend for anyone to go here. stay away!

Negative experience: To reply to you about why I gave a 1 star and I actually think that is too generous; zero or negative stars would best describe this cretinous "rental company" (or poor excuse for one). But you guys seem to be very unprofessional, tardy with responses and like many other people leaving reviews, strung me along for a month with no communication as to what was going on in between approval. I do not want to buy a property in the city due to the fact I want to move to another city within a years time and wanted to rent but you refuse to approve people with great credit, references, $80,000/year salary, again how does that make any kind of sense? I am renting with a private business currently and am so glad I didn't get approved by your heinous business, because I have since heard from friends that this place scams them once they have rented. Things don't get fixed when needed, no notice for other things, etc. I tell everyone I know about my story and it keeps circulating, leading to tons of people not wanting to go near your business. So way to shoot yourselves in the foot!!

Negative experience: I rarely ever write reviews - However, I feel this one is necessary. If I could give Elite Property Management a negative star review, I would without a doubt. They were extremely unprofessional, completely full of lies and empty promises, and strung my roommate and I along on the worst experiences I have ever had in dealing with a rentalsman. They failed to answer emails and calls, were completely awkward and creepy, and had no clear answers - but told us many dishonest things. We didn't end up signing a lease with them because of how little respect they showed us, and for their absolute lack of compassion. We explained the importance of having the home on a very specific date, to which was two weeks away - they then strung us along without answering messages for those two weeks and left us with less than a day to find a home before we had no roof over our heads. If you ever have to sign a lease with someone, save yourself the brutal stress and go sign with someone else. Trust me, you are much better off.

Negative experience: We had an absolutely horrible experience dealing with Elite. From not providing mail keys at move in (and absolutely disrespectful conversation surrounding how to get access to these keys - I was even told to call their employee who was holding them to arrange something myself), our first lease renewal was sent in the mail without postage and took over a month to arrive giving us one day to decide before our term was up (violates the Tenant Act), finding out from a unit owner in the building about important by-laws that were changing that Elite never informed us about (to which they were required to do so according the their lease agreement), not providing notice of lease renewal/non-renewal after multiple requests prior to and after the one month notice required by the Tenant Act (with one explanation being they were still unable to get a hold of the property owners after 6 weeks of communicating), the list goes on. We went through the Office of Residential Tenancies to retrieve the ⅓ of our damage deposit they held from us. They did not pay us the portion they owed us in the time frame required by the Tenant Act. We received it after our lawyer contacted them indicating they were required by law to do so (but it was still received 2 weeks after the date in which it was legally acceptable to be returned). They did not show up to our first hearing and managed to pull strings at the ORT to have a re-hearing. We won BOTH hearings and they were ordered to pay us our damage deposit in full. Our move out was July 2019. It is March 2020 and we have yet to receive the money owed to us. An absolute legal nightmare with experiences I was appalled to have with what one would assume to be a company that hires professionals. If you are going to rent with Elite, be sure you know your rights as a tenant through the government if Saskatchewan because you will surely need to fight for what you are rightfully owed.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Repeated no shows and when they did show up it was not uncommon for their agent to be upwards of 20 minutes late. The agents know little to nothing about the actual properties. Do NOT waste your time dealing with them.

Negative experience: I recently contacted this company as I have just started out on my own out of my parent's house, mid 20's. They wanted 5 years of rental history or a co signer in order to rent a property. So that means, half of the people just like myself first starting out, with no previous history, are now searching for a co signer. What if they do not have family that has 5 years history? You deterring 80% of your new renters this way. Just disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I rented from Elite for almost two years. They were always very prompt to responding to maintenance requests and were always very easy to deal with. The move in and move out process was very straight forward and easy with them. Aaron W. also helped me out by setting up my carpet cleaning. Out of the three property managers I have had in this city Elite was the best one I experienced.

Fantastic experience: Aaron W. at Elite Property Management exemplifies what management should be. He is very organized, very professional and quick to return calls and emails. I had an issue with my washing machine and within minutes I was able to get a solution. I am very pleased with the service Aaron provides and am happy knowing my property is in good hands under Aaron.

Negative experience: Awful. They owned the building we lived in and we worked as caretakers for them as well. Rude. Never knew what was going on. Poor management. Never repaired anything on time. Let us go for telling the truth about the water leaks to someone interested in renting. I could keep going.

Negative experience: I thought we were a single case those who had bad experience while moving. The person by name Shaldon was very disrespectful, never saw a person can speak so bad with the customer , my bad that we had signed leased before taking key handover. They took us for ride , as bad as litterly abusive. I am just wishing my lease to get over , won’t like to extend it further or recommend them to anybody in my work , friend or community circle. I hope at checkout the same guys does not turn up , else it would be nightmare. His mare though in my mind makes me restless. I doubt the quality of “ Consumer Choice Award Jury “. Certainly elite can’t be one of the best , google review from last one year ... not even a single review more then one star. This speaks in itself. Elite management .. time for you guys to introcept

Negative experience: Their snow removal is garbage. Took 9 days for them to come ON THE WRONG DAY than we were give in the notice. They never came back to clear what they missed. Completely garbage. If the snow removal contractors cannot keep up maybe hire another contractor? What are my condo fees going to since there is no way it is costing this much for them to come twice all winter and when they give out notices to clean all the snow in everyone's driveway they come the wrong day. 11/10 NOT impressed. If I could rate them a 0 out of 5 I would.

Negative experience: Years ago I rented a property under their management, poor customer service. They'll "transfer" you to someomes voicemail 9 times out of 10 if they don't want to deal with you. They still owe me money that I tried to get back a handful of times.

Negative experience: I applied for a rental unit being managed by Elite and it was an extremely stressful and unpleasant process and experience to say the least. The front staff were courteous and helpful but the individual I spoke to on the phone was extremely short and rude.

Negative experience: Such incompetent and rude people. I set up automatic payments on the 28th of each month, I gave them two months notice, I left the place immaculate, everything was perfect, but Mr Sh***** fuond a "stain" under a light switch; as a result he charged 80$+ carpet steam cleaning 250$. Also, he promised me he would've provided me with a reference letter... still waiting. Stay away from this business.

Negative experience: One of the worst companies in Saskatoon. They are managing our condo building. No idea how to deal with issues. Very unprofessional. Don't know how to run financials. Don't know how to maintain the building properly. Wasting condo money left to right. Will run very complicated financial report to make sure people don't understand what is going on with financials. Poor communication skills. Don't trust this company to manage your property. Nothing but troubles.

Negative experience: I owned a condo that Elite was property manager for. The property manager was extremely unprofessional. I was Vice President of the condo board and set up an owners’ Facebook page. Over the course of the page’s life, there had been a few owners’ posts of dog feces being left on the lawn. A week after resigning from the board, I posted a pic of a huge pile of feces (left for months) stating that it was getting out of hand. Tim, the property manager, posted a very slanderous response, accusing me of being “passive-aggressive, inappropriate...finger pointing”. I was appalled. I deleted the page and emailed the owner of Elite sharing what Tim had done and asking for a public apology at minimum. After several weeks with no response, I contacted the owner again who replied that he wasn’t going to do anything and I should forget about it. This is not a company for condo owners. You are treated like “low-life renters”. Elite is in bed with the builder to ensure the builder continues to use them for future properties. Several builder deficiencies pointed out were ignored by Tim...so of course later on when they become an expensive fix, the condo corporation pays. Any owner complaint followed up by Tim with letter to the accused, is laced with threats. A letter was sent to four owners in the same building regarding a single complaint about their dogs. I received a letter about tethering my small dog to my patio railing and my dog barking. The letter ended with a threat that the condo board will seek legal action to remove the dog from the property. I only had my dog on a lead on my patio when I was home, no longer than a half hour at a time, with my full screen door open to hear and view anything my dog was doing. So, as an owner, if you want to be threatened, slandered to other owners, by a manager whose allegiance is with the builder, choose Elite Property Management.

Negative experience: My reason for posting is regarding the practice of requiring three months of bank statements from each applicant and co-signer. In our situation that would have amounted to eight people collecting and sharing their documents. In addition, three months of paystubs and a notice of assessment must also be included in the fax to qualify as a complete application. It goes in the bin if it is an incomplete application and you need to try again. We tried again and again. I think it was easier to buy my house. After speaking with the recptionist, I understand clearly that this is their process and that's how it is. However, if the process is cumbersome, some extra points of customer service may be due. For example, a follow up email outlining the requirements with forms attached. Beyond the clarical issues, I want bring attention to the bank statements. Is it a common business practice to require an individual's personal bank statements? I don't agree it should be in this situation and I don't think we should accept sharing this information with businesses. There are more secure ways to confirm financial ability. Seems invasive of privacy. The showing was great- just a very difficult application process.

Negative experience: Horrible!!!! Totally unprofessional. Late to showings or didn’t show up at all. That should have been the first tip off. They lost payments and issued late fees and notice of eviction when we had confirmation numbers and it was entirely their mistake. Didn’t even call back to confirm they figured out or apologize. Little knowledge of the property. Took $350 off the damage deposit for carpet cleaning and a scuff on the wall. Called for receipts of maintenance to justify cost because it was more than we agreed and the woman was rude and sarcastic. Thank god the lease is up and I don’t have to deal with them anymore. Completely unacceptable. Go elsewhere!

Negative experience: Did not enjoy our experience renting through this company. Poor communication within the company and with us is our major complaint. While maintenance requests were attended to in a reasonable timeframe, it took forever to get resolution on them (e.g. broken dishwasher) - they forgot to follow up and I had to get back in touch with them. Their expectations were unreasonable for how you can keep your unit while trying to pack up and move out - other companies would wait until you’re moved out to show it. No communication to us about blocked road access to our unit - right at month end when you’re trying to move out. This was extremely frustrating. Poor communication between Elite and the condo manager, causing issues for us as tenants. No compassion or concept of treating people well, even when the problem is because of their poor communication (see above example) - this was Sheldon in particular who wasn’t at all accommodating when we needed to get our carpets cleaned. There’s a lot of options for renting property - I highly recommend you go somewhere else.
