Any area in GTA BUT with less than hour public transport for both of our offices, space for kids’ bedrooms and separate home offices, natural light, connection to nature etc. Since our budget was tight, we were interested in property which bones were healthy, but which was cheaper due to renovation needs (which we are to certain extent able to do ourselves). Expérience négative: I headed to an open house with my young children in tow, surprised to arrive to find a sign posted to the front door advising of its cancellation (notwithstanding no changes to the listing online and a for sale sign outside the house). The waste of time was unfortunate and could have been managed better. So I left a one star rating. Within an hour I had two emails to my work account from Rick DeClute asking for an explanation. I was surprised, but explained what happened. He responded by ridiculing another review of mine (using ROFL emojis). In a subsequent email Mr. DeClute began to blame the MLS system and suggest an improvement (perhaps realizing the inappropriateness of his initial response). Mr. DeClute clearly felt my one star was an overreaction. I am left wondering how he would characterize the numerous emails he sent to my work email about this topic on a Sunday. I'm hoping to avoid any future contact with DeClute Real Estate. Ick.

I have a rental property in the area, ready for occupancy in mid-December. Despite it being a slow period, Jacqueline was able to help me find good quality tenants. On top of MLS, she worked hard to promote the property in other channels, which was critical in a slow market. Throughout the tenant selection process, she listened to my needs and provided helpful guidance. Due to the pleasant experience, I proceeded to have her sell a condo. Again, she met all expectations and we were able to sell within a week of listing, where other properties in the building were sitting for a month or more.
