At one point we had a challenging situation with a tenant, and the team handled it with incredible professionalism. They knew exactly what steps needed to be taken and guided the entire process with confidence and experience. They balanced protecting my rights as a landlord while still treating the tenant with fairness and respect. They treat your investment like their own. Highly recommend!

Expérience négative: Would give zero stars if I could. We had no ceiling in our kitchen for 6 months after a gas leak. They didn’t offer us any discount on rent during that time and then we had to pay for the post construction clean when they finally came to fix it. We were there for 3 years. When we moved out during the walk through they said this was the cleanest place they have ever seen but they still charged our full damage deposit for tiny dents in the blinds and to paint. Even though we sanded and filled every hole. We treated the property with so much respect and gave the management company so much grace because they kept telling us how busy they were and we were treated like dirt in the end with every email ignored. I would never rent from a property they manage and I would never hire them to manage something of mine.

Expérience négative: Update: After I posted this review, a manager contacted me and offered a $100 gift card in exchange for deleting it. Based on this experience, I would take the many 5-star reviews here with caution. I had a very disappointing experience with Power Properties. The manager called me only 30 minutes before the scheduled viewing and started trying to convince me to look at a different place instead. He was asking many unnecessary questions and wasting my time. We have a small child, and we took a day off specifically to attend this viewing. Canceling last minute and then trying to redirect us somewhere else is very unprofessional and disrespectful of our time. This caused a lot of inconvenience for our family. I expected better communication and more respect for potential tenants. Would never rent with this company

Maintenance was extremely slow — including black mold and a gas leak that required cutting a large hole in the ceiling, which then sat unrepaired for months. Communication was poor, with slow responses and constant staff turnover, so we were often dealing with different people and repeating the same issues. We took pride in the property and even handled some minor repairs ourselves rather than waiting weeks for maintenance. Despite leaving the home in great condition, we still felt nickel-and-dimed when it came to our damage deposit. Overall, this was a disappointing rental experience to say the least. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone and wish the zero stars was an option.

Expérience négative: You probably owe the landlord of the place I rented an explanation for not doing your job, not me. Please reply to my review about you doing nothing about my children sleeping in a room with a gas leak for weeks while you ignored emails from us. I would never hire this company to manage a rental. I was a renter and we found a place online. We called them every day for two weeks to see the place. It was impossible to get a hold of them to view the place. When we finally did we found out it had been vacant for 5 weeks. They didn’t even try to get the place rented out. They were just wasting their clients money.

Expérience négative: I was a tenant here for several years and wanted to give a heads-up to potential or existing tenants about their security deposit practices. When I moved in back in 2017, the place wasn't even professionally cleaned, yet they still charged me a cleaning fee when I moved out—even though I left it in better shape than I found it. Please take photos of everything the day you get your keys. Also, double-check your lease for 'admin fees.' They tacked those on top of the cleaning costs, so they really try to chip away at your security deposit however they can. Make sure to document every little thing on the move-in report so you don't get hit with extra charges later. I also learned from experience that if they take deductions, you might be waiting up to 30 days to receive a deposit back.

Expérience négative: The worst experience ever with power properties. We had a gas leak in our children’s room and they tried to gaslight us into thinking we were crazy. We finally paid someone to come look and it took them months to repair. They took weeks to respond to emails and I’ve never been more disappointed with a company and their lack of care for the safety of their tenants especially children

(Nov 18, 2025) The PP team are a group of professionals that take the time to educate and walk you through the process. My wife and I were new to this type of service and we're happy we landed with PP.

Expérience négative: Booked an appointment to see a property on Oct 27th at 5:40 pm. Confirmed the appointment by email as they request. I get there and nobody is there. Lights are on in the unit so I knock and wait. Nobody answers. Call their office and its closed for the day, look around online and find someone who works there to call. He claims they sent out a message canceling all appointments. I didn't get a text, I didn't get an email. I was looking right at my phone. He said "Well I sent them out." No apology or anything. Unprofessional, wouldn't want to rent from a company that can't even book or keep a simple appointment. Extremely disappointed.

Expérience fantastique: Met with Danny Castelino for a viewing to rent out a house for me and the family.. we looked at roughly 20+ houses and met with many realtors at that time. I have to say Danny was by far the best realtor I’ve ever met. Allowed a great conversation for us to understand the home how it would be suitable for us compared to other homes and much more. If you get the chance to meet him I’m sure you’ll find he’s as great of a realtor as I’m making it sound!

Expérience négative: My experience with Anil at Power Properties has been deeply frustrating and unprofessional. As a landlord, I entrusted them to manage my property and handle tenant-related issues, but their lack of urgency and communication left me with unresolved financial losses and unnecessary stress. Despite repeated follow-ups over months, they failed to collect unpaid rent from a tenant who left without notice in January 2025. I was assured updates and resolutions but no meaningful progress was ever communicated. Communication was inconsistent and dismissive. Even after escalating the matter and threatening formal complaints, the response remained inadequate. Management fees were only refunded and the tenant only sent to collections after I submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau (Calgary), which underscores the need for external pressure to resolve basic issues. I ultimately had to transition to another management company to secure a new tenant, as Power Properties’ inaction left me no choice. I share this to caution others: document everything, insist on timelines, and hold them accountable. Their failure to act promptly or transparently cost me time, money, and peace of mind. This review reflects my personal experience and is not a legal claim. Edit: Power Properties imposed an 18-month collection plan without consultation, this is the unreasonable timeline and payment structure they decided on for recovering unpaid rent. Their responses in regards to my requests during the time they managed my property, and even with the collection of unpaid rent, was dismissive (deeming the requested actions for them to take as too “personal” and/or just completely ignoring my emails/messages). After switching to a new management company, I can confirm this experience is not the standard. I strongly advise against entrusting them with smaller portfolios if tailored support matters to you (ie if you have only one or two properties). Edit (1): Unethical - Asked to Censor Reviews, Then Sent My Credit to Collections I feel compelled to update my review after a serious new incident, but I must first disclose an earlier red flag. Ages ago, Power Properties asked me to edit or remove my original negative Google review. I had intended to ignore this unethical request to silence feedback, but the recent situation has forced my hand. Now, I have discovered that Power Properties failed to pay a final energy bill from May 1, 2025, for which they were responsible. This neglect has resulted in the bill being sent to collections, which has now negatively impacted my credit score. Their failure to manage basic financial obligations, coming after their attempt to clean up their online reputation by having reviews removed, shows a clear pattern. This company appears to prioritize controlling public perception over fulfilling its core responsibilities to land lords. I strongly caution anyone considering their services. The fact that they tried to hide negative experiences before this major financial error speaks volumes.

I couldn't have been more wrong I had no idea of policies, procedures that Canada has. I would recommend them and the gentleman that did my walk through before moving Henry made me laugh good guy.

When I was searching for property management, i came across this management company. When I sent email for property evaluation and to get more information about their services, Anil responded right away and came next day for property evaluation and suggested rental price as per the market trends. At the same time I also requested another property management company but their response was very slow and suggested rental price was less as compared to what Anil suggested. Move in inspection report was amazing they mentioned each and everything on report so will not have problem when tenant leave. If you are looking for property management services I would definitely recommend powert properties. Their fees little bit more as compared to other well known property management , however if you are looking for hassle free experience for managing your property then definitely consider Power properties.

It was reassuring to see that care was taken with the ventilation connection in the master bathroom, and we are hopeful it will now function as intended. The washroom looks good, and it was essential to address the ventilation issue to prevent it from affecting other areas of the house or the health of tenants. Future Considerations The involvement of multiple trades (roofing, painting, and general contracting) showed good coordination; however, the work extended from Monday to Monday, which was longer than anticipated. Completing the service within a shorter timeframe would improve efficiency. The painting was completed with attention to detail, though scheduling the work earlier in the day would make it more convenient for residents.

Expérience fantastique: My previous property management arrangement fell through 24 hours before the closing of my pre-construction property. In a panic, I began to reach out to as many property management companies as I could locate on Google. I didn't have much time to do my do-diligence (hence I had 24 hours to closing walkthrough) so I was very nervous as I am out of province, but my gut said to go with this company. I am SO glad I did. Andrew and Power properties have been AMAZING! They answered all of my questions and helped me navigate this situation. As it was a long weekend we had to try to arrange the walkthrough appointment on the same day and Andrew made sure to be available. He not only performed the walkthrough, but he also made sure everything was in working order, including videos of all appliances working, and checking for leaks, water pressure, doors closed properly, and much more. He caught important defects on the outside of the house, which the builder said would fix promptly. ( He also made sure that was arranged). They listed my property within 48 hours from the walkthrough.Their communication has been quick and efficient. They also provide updated performance reviews, which is amazing, keeping me in the loop during tenant placement. I also needed my windows measured so I could order blinds, and Andrew went to the property and got me all the measurements promptly and quickly. I will leave an updated review once they have placed a tenant, but so far, this is a 5+ star company.

Expérience négative: Cannot believe the unprofessional & ignorant attitude of this company & their agent Anil. They hide behind a message centre that does not allow you to contact anyone in their company except to screen your calls to leave a message. Anil made an appointment with my daughter to meet her to view a condo at 10 Discovery Ridge Unit 237 & after several attempts over a couple of days to reach him I finally did as he must of made a mistake & did answer his phone a few hours before the scheduled time & assured me he would be there to meet her. My daughter took the time from a very busy schedule to be there & made sure she was even 10 minutes early & he was a no show. I have made several attempts to contact him, his assistant & the marketing Manager all to no avail & no one has even had the courtesy of reaching out to either one of us to give an explanation or apology to the inconvenience they caused to us. God forbid what they would be like if you did manage to rent from them how they would handle any problems if you did. Actually I feel sorry for any one who has them as a property manager. Note that I have just retired from doing exactly the same type of work for the past 35 years & finally decided to relocate to Calgary to be near my family & certainly wouldn't be able to if I had treated my clients in this manner. I wrote this in the heat of the moment & since both Anil the agent & the company have reached out & did apologize for a misunderstanding but do strongly suggest my frustration was greatly magnified by the company answering system. Once it has your phone number your call is directed to a message to verify a showing to which you can't answer. I did try to call the office from a separate number to at least 5 people on the contact list including assistants to the agent, managers & reception & couldn't get an answer from anyone. only could leave a message. In the past few weeks the sales agent Anil has been more then helpful to which we are thankful. David Mitchell
