That's when I booked a call with them. I spoke to Ven and he walked me through their service, connected me to a local agent in Ottawa and kept in touch throughout to make sure things went smoothly. Even though I didn't qualify for their Down Payment Boost program, Buy.ca still had a lot of other things they were willing to offer - a low commission + cash back, they connected me to a mortgage broker that gave a quick pre-approval and a law firm that charged a flat fee for closing. Working with them took a lot of pressure off in trying figure out how I was going to make this investment since the communication was solid and the process felt clear at every step.

Then, hours later, I got a random call back that sounded like it was from an overseas call center. The whole thing felt super unprofessional and honestly gave off major scam vibes. I didn’t feel comfortable continuing the call and just hung up. Wouldn’t trust them after this experience.

Seems to be doing business as buy.ca They claim to have over $250 million in sales, yet according to the Toronto Real Estate Board, they’ve only completed three transactions in the past year. Considering this is likely the biggest purchase of your life, I would strongly recommend steering clear of them.
