Expérience fantastique: Brown Bros was the manager for our property. We were lucky to have a property manager (Stephanie) that was incredible to work with. Any time there was something that needed attention Brown Bros had the people to deal with the issue. Communication was fantastic. We fully recommend Brown Bros as a property management company.

Expérience négative: Brown Bros Management has been the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. I lived in the Fountain Blue building located across from Hillside Mall for two years, and unfortunately, my wife and I suffered almost every single day while living there. The tenant living above us regularly hosted loud parties throughout the night. Because of this constant noise and disturbance, it became impossible for us to sleep peacefully. I have honestly lost count of how many sleepless nights we had because of this ongoing issue. I repeatedly complained to the building manager, Kathy, who was one of the rudest and most unprofessional managers I have ever encountered in my life. Despite making several complaints, the only response I ever received from her was, “If you don’t like the place, you can leave.” Instead of addressing the serious concerns we raised, we were treated with disrespect and ignored completely. I also complained multiple times about the back entrance door located directly beneath our apartment. Every time someone entered or exited through that door, it created excessive noise that disturbed us day and night. Once again, no action was taken to resolve the problem. After moving out of the apartment, Kathy falsely claimed that I had left the unit dirty, which is completely untrue. Because of this false accusation, Brown Bros Management unfairly kept my entire $800 security deposit. Once I return to Canada, I fully intend to take legal action against Brown Bros Management for wrongfully withholding my security deposit and for the terrible living conditions and treatment we experienced during our tenancy. No tenant should have to go through the stress, sleepless nights, and lack of professionalism that my wife and I endured while living in that building.

From the very beginning, Kathleen, the building manager, was incredibly kind, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire process. She was flexible, accommodating, and truly went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly. Moving can often be stressful, but Kathleen made the experience easy and positive. Her communication was excellent, and she was always quick to respond to any questions I had. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a kinder or more seamless experience. Now that I’m settled in, I’m even happier with my decision to move here. The building is beautiful, and the grounds are kept absolutely immaculate. It’s clear that a lot of care and pride goes into maintaining the property. I’m so glad I chose Langford Walk, and I’m very grateful to Kathleen for making the entire process such a positive one. Expérience positive: I rented at St. Margaret's Apartments from October 2024 through January 2026. One of the things I appreciated most while there was the building Manager, Raine Decker. I can only imagine how challenging managing a property of that size must be but Raine was consistently friendly, professional, quickly responsive to concerns, proactive, knowledgeable and helpful. He definitely is a big positive piece in life at St. Margaret's. Thanks.

Jillian Thibault and Juan Vera are the management team for my building and I have to say, I think this is the best experience I have had in all my years of renting. Jillian is extremely friendly, on the ball and very willing to work with tenants to ensure a good housing situation. I recently had a couple of issues pop up in my rental unit and everything was solved within 6 hours.

Expérience fantastique: I've been in a now run by brown bros apt for 18 years, since brown bros has taken over 10 years ago it's been amazing. For the last few years the manager "tammy" has been helpful and stern..I appreciate Tammy and brown bros.

I did complain about the neighbors nothing much was done to them for deliberately harassing us then get accused of a liar, as these tenants have been in this building for 20 years they are no good tenants when it comes to other people moving into building they might pay their cheap rent but in general they are no good as people towards other people that just moved into a building. If this is what Brown Bros wants in their building scummy people i would not recommend living in any of there buildings they manage. Also our window in our unit does not close properly as we got the unit like that as well as the oven fan does not work, unbelievable to rent out a place like this as well as never kicking out people that deserve to be kicked out.

We have been very fortunate to have received excellent service with this company. I will speak to the property my husband and I are currently in, a new build, The Kentwood Place on Goldstream Avenue. The building itself is beautiful in a fantastic, walkable location overlooking The Royal Colwood golf course. The process of moving in was seamless from our previous rental unit. Rose handled the administrative piece and was wonderful to deal with, responsive and prompt with any questions we had. Our building managers Jim and Seann are organized, personable and very speedy with replies to any questions, and were most helpful as we were settling into our new home. Anytime we have had an issue in either of our units Brown Bros was on top of it very quickly. They are a great company to deal with and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. And come check out The Kentwood Place, we are very happy in this beautiful building.

I have been trying to sort out the process for short term rentals in my building for nearly a month now. usually they take around a week to respond to an email, and that email will simply pass the buck to someone else or give information that was already said by someone else at brown bros. not good enough.

Deb Tilley has gone over and above to make sure the property is well taken care of, that my parents don’t have to worry about anything, and answers all of their calls within an hour. She is absolutely the best, and is the reason my parents are still able to live independently.

She stops people (often to tell them about something they're doing "wrong"), repeating herself over and over until you make an excuse to have to leave. I honestly feel like "big brother" is watching and keep our blinds closed and things as far away from the edge of the patio so she can't see them.

From touring my apartment to doing my final walk through, she was the most friendly, helpful, understanding, and responsive landlord I have ever had. Expérience fantastique: I lived in an older apartment and the rent was very reasonable. Brown Bros had regular cleaners and yard workers to keep the place looking tidy. They promptly sent repair services over to deal with maintenance issues, usually within a day or two. There was no hassle over this or requests to pay for service like some other property management companies try. The property managers rarely came over, so no micromanaging. My neighbours in the Wark Street apartment were quiet and we all pretty much kept to ourselves. I moved because I found a cheaper apartment.

Expérience négative: Will not do anything about noise complaints. There has been a “DJ” in my building who plays music so loud it vibrates the walls in my apartment. I cannot sleep. This has been an ongoing issue for several months now and nothing has been done about this disruptive tenant.

Expérience négative: Avoid using this strata management company if you have a say in the matter. Was a part of a strata that was chosen by the developer to manage the strata. BB doesn't care to understand the problem, they don't listen either. Countless examples where BB provided a solution that was completely wrong for the strata, or made a recommendation that was not substantiated by strong evidence. Multiple emails and follow ups with strata manager went un-responded to or were so misunderstood that the point was missed entirely. Never once did the manager come on site to try and understand the issues at hand, and work with council on solutions.

The land lords, property managers & all 7 of their assistants are incompetent to help. I will never rent from them again. I'm now dealing with health issues from the mould and they still won't do anything to help me. I'm going to be taking them to court for being so unsupportive & careless.

If I didn't meet my partner and decide to move in with him and his daughter, I would of stayed at least another 3 years. My apartment was so bright, spacious and sunny! I have alot of plants! It had a lot of character to it. Hardwood floors, arched entry and beautiful glass build in cabinets. I had the best neighbours while living there. The building was always kept clean. Laundry was easy to get to and not busy at all. It is in such an amazing location. Cook st village was a 10 min walk. The ocean was another 15 at best. I would always go down and watch the sunset. Whenever I had any questions, Conrad and his staff were always there when I needed. They were quick to respond. As a single woman, I always felt save with the security of the building. It has a telecom system. So no one who doesn't belong will get in. The dumpsters were always emptied on time by the city. They are very accessible. All in all. I loved that place. I would highly recommended the beautiful Luxor Manor to call home. Sarah

Expérience négative: I was an excellent tenant with them for nearly 9 years in a rundown building that still had the single pane windows from the 60s, which caused massive condensation and black mold. They made millions of dollars from us but couldn't be bothered to upgrade the units for the sake of health? I didn't realize how deep their greed was until an incompetent mistake on behalf of a plumber resulted in raw sewage pumping into the crawl space beneath my place for months. I was sick all the time and the place reeked like sewage. Brown brothers refused to deal with it properly because it was too expensive. Instead they just applied band-aid fixes, and together with the building manager, they gaslit me, telling me that there was nothing wrong, and that I'm the only one who can smell anything, when ten minutes earlier I heard the restoration crew outside my window say this was the worst catastrophe they had ever seen. Brown Brothers are greedy and manipulative and particularly if you're in low income housing, they don't care about you. They just want you to shut up and suffer because that's all you're worth is to sell your life to them at their terms and they reap the profits and don't lift a finger in return. They're absolute sociopaths.

As well, we wish to thank Property Manager, Conrad Pugh, for his flexibility and cooperation in accommodating our several changes in appointment times.. We had a tight schedule to make our ferry reservation, after having less than ideal weather for our movers, and Conrad’s professionalism during the inspection was greatly appreciated. Expérience fantastique: Brown Bros is very attentive with its tenants and keeps the properties very well maintained. I have been being attended very promptly by Mr. Conrad and Mr. Sean that is my resident manager (very courteous and attentive manager). All in all, it’s being a good experience.

Expérience négative: I received several case of them ripping students off their rental deposit. No reason no cause and they intimidated these youngsters and threatened them.
