Expérience fantastique: I inherited my mother's house after her death. I had never sold a property before, and this was the house I grew up in, so it was an emotionally complex situation for me. I approached Clover Residential as they manage a rental condo for us, and they do a great job at that. I met Ole and several members of his team, and almost immediately I felt more relaxed and objective. Ole worked with me through the whole process, and I never once felt any pressure. I had no idea what to price my property at, so Ole showed me a number of properties around the city, and around the area of the property to be sold. He explained the benefits and downfalls of different types of "product" as he called properties. I gained a much better idea of how my property should be priced and marketed. Ole gave me a few inexpensive and practical suggestions to tidy up the property and increase the curb appeal, and he and his team were available and helpful any time I had any questions or concerns. I felt very valued and respected as a customer. I received two offers from the first two showings and sold my house less than a week after it was listed, and I accepted one above the asking price. Expérience négative: I typically don't write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. When my partner and I first started renting the property, it was through a private landlord, and everything was great for over five years—until the landlord decided to bring Clover into the picture. Once Clover took over, everything changed, and not for the better. The owner then decided to sell the property, which meant upgrades were necessary before it could be listed, as we had lived there for over 5 years.This included painting the window trim, which needed 2 coats. When it was time for the second coat, I specifically requested that the painter not be left alone in our unit, as my partner and I did not feel comfortable with that arrangement. Clover management assured me they would coordinate with me to find a suitable time after checking in with the painter. However, a week went by and I still hadn’t heard back from them regarding when would work. I then came home one day to find my entire house smelling of paint. It was clear someone had entered our home without our permission. When I contacted Clover, I was given the runaround about the painter entering the property, with them claiming it was a “miscommunication.” But there was no miscommunication—I had made it clear that no one should enter our home without either myself, my partner or Clover management being present. Feeling violated, I proposed ending the rental agreement early with a one-month rent subsidy and our damage deposit returned which the landlord agreed to, as long as the property was left in the same condition as when we moved in. Clover then emailed me a list of move-out requirements, including professional cleaning of the blinds and carpets. However, these were never mentioned when we first signed the lease, and I raised this with them. Again, I was given the runaround, almost as if they were trying to pressure us into paying for things we were never responsible for. The day before our final walk-through (remember, Clover never saw the property when we moved in, as it was privately rented) we took the whole day off to clean the unit, leaving it spotless—exactly as we found it. But Clover management found fault with the oven, saying it wasn't clean enough and are going to be charging $50 to clean it, as well as an additional $75 for the blinds. But how could they even know what it looked like when we moved in? As again they did not do our walk through when we first signed the lease. In short, my experience with clover was nothing but a series of ongoing frustrations. I had to follow up twice regarding our rental subsidy payment, which was delayed for over three weeks. Their management team is disorganized, unresponsive, and, frankly, unprofessional. Having rented through various companies, I can confidently say that Clover is by far the worst. If you have the option, I highly recommend seeking alternatives.

Expérience fantastique: I have only good things to say about this realty company that I engaged to sell an estate owned house in the neighbourhood. I first met with them and they gave me their presentation with a market analysis. I like that they are a small firm with personal service and all work together as a team. There is a lot of history that this firm comes from as originally it had been operating in the Fairfield neighbourhood for many decades. There were a few glaring issues that would impede the sale of the property and these were identified and flagged immediately . A year earlier I was about to list the house for sale and this amount of pre listing work was not identified with the previous broker. As I would be out of town they set me up with Docusign so that I would be able to respond to offers in another country and time zone. This worked beautifully. Hannah the agent I worked with primarily was cordial, knowledgeable and gave me the low down on the situation or background with any offer that came through. I appreciated this constant communication as I am used to working knowing where all the balls are at any given time and Hannah and Olie both came through big time in this department. The sale went effortlessly with Clover’s team approach. They communicated with me through WhatsApp and that kept everyone who had input in the loop. I would recommend Clover Realty to anyone who is looking for a neighbourhood specialist and appreciates a proactive approach with lots of communication.

Expérience négative: Clover Residential appears to prioritize their homeowner clients over their residential renters. As new renters, we experienced significant delays in addressing serious concerns. One critical issue was the excessively high hot water temperature, which resulted in our young son getting burned while washing his hands. It took Clover five weeks to obtain approval from the owner and schedule a repair. The plumber confirmed that the water was dangerously hot. Despite this serious incident, we received no apology from Atul for several weeks, until we explicitly stated that he had expressed no apology or empathy regarding this incident, and the communications remained curt.Unfortunately, due to time sensitivity, we signed the lease eagerly without reading the reviews. Given this experience, we will most likely not rent again, but if we do, we will avoid all Clover Residential properties.

Expérience négative: The people at Duttons were a joy to work with and impeccable about quality maintenance. However, that has *not* been my experience since the business re-branded to Clover. The new staff are unhelpful, dismissive, or rude at best, and at worst they've left tenants in the lurch with no support for routine or emergency issues. It's very possible that they're providing great customer service to their landlord clients, but it no longer seems to be their philosophy that providing good service to tenants is providing good service to owners. I would not recommend renting a Clover Residential property.

Expérience négative: They have a lot of fake apartment advertisements. I don't know why they do this, but you can't contact them. They don't answer the phone or answering machine. We've been waiting a week for an answer. They don't answer emails either. but advertisements continue to be updated and posted. upd. It would be better if you responded to mobile calls or emails so quickly than to respond to reviews about your company. I checked your ads on your website, which I took from Google maps. and called you at the number listed here.

Expérience négative: They are not clear on any kind of processes. Even the owner of the unit was not sure if there is any application in process on their own unit. We supposed to get a tour by this company and they even refused to answer our inquiry and the owners themselves planned to give us a tour. While we were talking to the company agents they told us there is no applicant on the unit you are looking and after a week going back and fourth with the application and asking us "ARE YOU REALLY INTERESTED?" suddenly they came up by telling us the unit is given to someone else. Do not recommend them in anyway they are just waisting your time.

I have inquired about several rental listings, mostly immediately after it was posted on their website and NEVER heard back. I was not given a clear explanation on HOW applicants are selected for viewing during my two in-person visits. I was told once that it will take one week to hear back, and during my second visit I was told that I may never be contacted to view a unit, and that I should just keep waiting and checking the website and watch the unit change status to rented. There are phone numbers listed on their website, but no one responds to phone calls. In person visits are pointless as obviously there is no respect and value for applicants time who goes into their office only to get vague, inconsistent and somewhat disrespectful responses. I find their process and treatment of applicants not aligned with what they advertise on the website "FIND A HOME". It is more like "FIND A HOME AND WATCH IT TILL IT GOES RENTED (NOT BY YOU)" How Clover Residential HELPS: "We provide tenants with an unmatched level of service and responsiveness, ensuring that your stay in a Clover property is a great one." I would ask: DO YOU ACTUALLY?

Their appreciation to their work and care taken in helping me when I bought my condo back in 2014 and sell my condo this year has been top notch. Their knowledge in the market and experience made the whole process so much easier than I expected. We have purchased two properties with Ole in 2019 and 2023 and he is outstanding at his job, works very hard for his clients and always a great source of advice, support and direction through the process. Our 2nd purchase was a new build house, and Ole was extremely diligent in making sure everything was correct with the property, the documentation, and some minor alterations were correctly specified and agreed with the builder. He and the team at Clover are just a pleasure to work with, very professional and reliable, and our experience has been entirely positive.

I've reached out in an attempt to rent a unit through calls, email inquiries through their website-listed inquiry email, and by responding to their Craigslist ads. I have tried at least three times per contact method, and I have never received any response. Don't waste your time with them.
