Fantastic experience: I wanted to share that I recently had an extremely positive experience with Stoneridge. I am a tenant and have been for a long time. I've actually rented 2 separate houses from them and I wouldn't consider anyone else. I had a plumbing issue and they dispatched the plumber right away. Any other time, they have always responded and they always give ample notice. I hope to rent from Stoneridge until we can finally buy a house!! They are always respectful and professional. Negative experience: I was a tenant at a property managed by Stoneridge, and my experience was extremely disappointing. When we moved in at the start of February, the furnace wasn’t working. We notified them right away, but it took five days for anyone to come check on it. When they did come, we weren’t even given notice that someone would be entering the unit. We only found out afterward through an email. Our heat wasn’t actually fixed for over two weeks, leaving us without proper heating in the middle of winter. We also experienced two separate floods during our tenancy. After the second flood, I submitted an emergency ticket explaining the severity of the issue (there were about three inches of water covering the floors in our living room and kitchen, and water was still coming in through the window well). I mentioned that we would need a wet vac and a dehumidifier. I saw that the ticket had been read shortly after, but nobody reached out. We ended up renting our own wet vac to deal with the standing water. Only after following up the next day did we get a response, without an apology or any offer to cover the rental costs. A dehumidifier was dropped off days after both events, but no one came to assess the damage. While addressing an issue for the upstairs tenants, Stoneridge staff also tried to enter our unit twice without notice, which was both unprofessional and concerning. Overall, the lack of communication, urgency, and accountability from Stoneridge was incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend renting from or working with them based on this experience.

Negative experience: If you’re tenant stay away from stoneridge, they only tend to your needs when it benefits them. They will ignore tenants and then call you a difficult or bad tenant when you assert your rights. It takes months to get repairs done even when the repair is genuine health concern. They respond in very rude and unprofessional ways, save yourself the hassle with this company.

As a former client with no ongoing agreement, I can say they were professional, responsive, and provided top-notch service. They helped us through a tough situation with a past tenant, handled maintenance well, and delivered solid annual reports (though photo quality could occasionally improve). Yes, their fees are on the higher side, but the quality reflects that. It really comes down to whether their premium service matches your needs. For us, they were a great partner while it lasted.

Negative experience: Oh no.. I gave you a one star and you automatically state we were difficult tenants. No issue. We paid our rent on time and just like most people during the pandemic we had gone through hard times and were in some arrears, which were paid all in one payment without any escalation from the LTB.. not even a hearing. Proper notice for leaving the premises was given and we left the home in great condition. That’s exactly what the files in open room will reflect. We followed all procedures of the law. You speak like we kept the owner’s home hostage.. we paid for a roof over our heads and we didn’t stay there for free. You, however are extremely unethical and emotional, for a tenant to leave a review for a company is quite standard, however you try and bully the reviewers by posting an obscure version of the reality. I’m leaving a screenshot of the email I received from your representative, basically in a pathetic attempt to intimidate me from leaving a review. At first I’d left a 1 star review with an explanation and then I removed it, but now that you’ve responded in such a way, I thought it would be best to share. I wouldn’t recommend renting from a place that these people manage, they work with extremely small handy workers and try their best to nickel and dime maintenances. Unethical and un-reputable business. Durham has many amazing property management companies.. those that know how to take critique and act professional.

They are responsive, professional, and quick to address any maintenance issues. The staff is friendly, and communication is always clear. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Money lychees run away from this property management. They will charge their management fee even if there is no rent coming in, and the termination of the contract is $1500$. I was not happy at all. A management fee of 7% is not worth it at all.

Negative experience: As an owner, I am not really sure whats going on lately. We had a tenant change and still after two months no inspection report, no email response, no communication, to the point that I am not even sure if we are still working with Jeff and Hillary, as they used to be really good.

Negative experience: Stoneridge? More like Stone-walled. Good luck getting an answer out of this team of office employees. If there's advice I can give to any prospective tenants I'd start with just don't. Read the other other reviews, they habitually leave tenants without information as well as choosing to respond to reviews unprofessionally in the public eye instead of just rectifying them. It's as if they're ten years old. After the initial meeting with Stone ridge you won't hear from them again unless they have a complaint. Occasionally you can manage to get a complaint back to them when theyre after you about something but this just gets you vague and condescending answers. Renting from them becomes a tit for tat relationship where you can't get a result out of them unless they need something from you which as a tenant is not a recurring thing so this doesn't work.

Negative experience: Very poorly managed properties, watch for 21 admiral road to be on the market within a few weeks. Black mould upstairs and downstairs, screens do not fit properly and house is infested with house centipedes. Hard to contact the company even though their website says 24/7 response (that’s a lie).

It was apparent from the start that they were attentive property managers and provided timely communication between tenants and landlord, ensuring that everyone was served as well as possible. They quickly scheduled service calls throughout our stay to replace issues like a broken dishwasher and broken glass pane, and talked us through some minor fixes which saved everyone time and money. Unfortunately, we weren't able to stay as long as we'd expected because of a change in circumstance with my job. Even so, they were accommodating and helpful as we made the transition out of our rental house. I would recommend Stoneridge Property Management to anyone looking to rent in the Durham Region.

Negative experience: I thought this company was going to be professional but that's a laugh. I have been trying to contact Hillary for going on 4 weeks now just to see if I was qualified to rent a property from them. I have sent multiple messages, without being pestering, and I have received nothing in return. If I'm giving you confidential information on myself and my fiancee, I kind of expect to atleast get a response saying "the property was already rented out" or something, not just dead air. You can plainly see that these people just like collecting money and dont care about anything else. Just look at the other reviews, do any of them have responses from this company? Nope. Do yourself a favour and go to someone, anyone else because you'll probably have better communication from a stone then the people from stoneridge property management. Good day.

Negative experience: Not happy with my experience. Hillary wasnt very helpful. I feel she wasted my time by showing me a unit. While I opened the closet door it fell off its hinges. The basement had mold in it and she laughed it off stating it wasnt mold. Later when I requested an application and asked for this to be fixed she said it's no longer on the market. About 20 mins after the viewing. I would strongly reccomend you stay as far away as possible from Hillary and this business. Extremely unprofessional.
