Fantastic experience: I recently worked with Matt Shapiro to purchase my first home. I first heard about the BREL team from a friend who purchased a property with them. When I began the search of looking for my first home, I looked through Brel’s agent profiles and narrowed it down to two agents who I thought would be a match for us. I sent both agents an email introducing myself and explaining that I was looking to purchase my first home. One of the agents replied back to me simply saying 'how did you get my name?' No hello, no introduction, no sign off, nothing. Positive experience: I had a good experience with BREL. I was short on time and new to Toronto but still wanted to find the best place for me and they helped me do that. Finding a place when you're new to the city and with no particular attach here can be daunting but I ended up finding a great apartment with their help. Kevin, the agent who worked with me was particularly helpful and understanding of my requirements and overall situation. I would definitely work with him and BREL again in the future. Edit: My second experience with BREL wasn't as good so I guess it depends on the BREL agent you work with. It ended up being a blessing in disguise because I found a much better place on my own but working with Ashton felt like a huge waste of time. She seemed unmotivated to help and didn't answer when I emailed her. Knowing that I was on a time crunch it's just disrespectful to ghost a client especially when I was always nice and never urged her to do anything. Fantastic experience: I was searching on behalf of my son who was in the US and preparing to return to Toronto. I phoned a listing and it was Varun Arora, a member of the BREL team. When the time came for me to buy and sell, I did not hesitate to contact Varun (who teams with Matt).
