When I tried to delete my account, I found that I had to agree to their data collection policy just to contact support, which felt intrusive. Negative experience: When I check a listing to see if it has sold, they show the listing on their website and ask that one logs in to presumably see the list price and what it sold for. An option to log in with Google, so I do that. Now they have my Google info., but no, that's not it. Now they ask you to "subscribe" for a fee. No thanks, I'll get the information elsewhere.

My review is based on limited interaction, as I haven’t conducted any direct transactions with an agent from this company. A friend of mine used their services three years ago to sell and purchase a property in West Vancouver. She had a positive experience with the agent and the overall process, which encouraged me to explore their services. At first, I found their website impressive. Unlike many other real estate websites, it provided accurate and accessible current and past information. One of my favorite features was the ability to view recent sold prices, which helped me gauge the market value of properties in specific areas and buildings. However, this key feature has now been moved behind a subscription paywall, significantly diminishing the website's usefulness for me. What used to set this company apart has now become a drawback, as the free access to such critical information was one of their competitive advantages. With this change, I find myself returning to realtor.ca and the Remax website, where I work with my trusted agents. Although I had a brief and pleasant interaction with one of their agents and appreciated their professional, non-pushy approach, this recent website change has removed much of my inclination to further engage with this company.

Highly recommend. Needed to downgrade this to 2 stars due to difficulty cancelling service which required a phone call while I was still being charged. Since discovered HouseSigma with superior sold date (not just limited to past 2 years) and market trend data - best part, it is free!

Negative experience: Set up a appointment to timberhouse. No show and everything is automatically generated with no response. Not recommend.

Fantastic experience: BC Condos and Homes was a great ‘One stop shop’ to research homes for sale and already sold. This site gives the actual sold for amount and date of sale. On other sites the listing just disappears. This site also gives (most times) the listing history so you can actually see when first listed, end of listing, and re-listed dates. As a buyer this is valuable information .

Negative experience: The fact that I have to subscribe is bullshit after years and years of this site being free. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: I needed to quickly find a floor plan of the condo my mother bought last year. I signed up to join BC Condos and home, and found the information I was looking for immediately. Each room size was detailed with a clear and precise description. I took some time to explore their website while I was there, and was impressed with the layout, and user interface. This website is very easy to navigate, and holds lots of valuable information for buyers/sellers, and anyone looking to learn about what’s available in the current housing market. I would definitely recommend using their website.

I had been using this site since day one to monitor sold prices in the area of my current home and to keep a lookout for my future dream home. I have also shared this link with many of my friends and neighbours that do the same. As per the last sentence in my original review, I no longer have a realtor and was planning to us BC Condos and homes for my next sell and buy transactions. This is no longer the case as now I need to go back to my other more cumbersome search methods because I absolutely refuse to start paying for a service that was previously free of charge. Especially when this cost would have been more than covered by ridiculously inflated realtor commissions. The cost of this website should be the cost of dong business. ORIGINAL POST BELOW; This is by far the best website for researching everything necessary for buying and selling real estate. Prior to this site several searches over several sources were required to find out what all in one place here. Here are only some of the Key features I use; - Previous Price and Sales history over 2 years - Comparable building and Neighbourhood stats - Size measurements for all rooms/areas of any property - Active as well as sold functionality of the Map search - Properties added to favourites automatically change from active to sold and stay in your favourites with the sold price and do not just disappear like on other sites. I found my new home here and will be using this company to complete the full transaction for my next purchase and sale.

Negative experience: Update: BC Condos and Homes have moved to a subscription model now for $14/month to view information on their website, or use one of their realtors. This probably was their business strategy from the beginning - Provide a free service / garner many 5 star reviews, until hitting a certain point where they felt that it would be beneficial to charge for this service. Unfortunate, but I can see where they're coming from. Best of luck with this new business model. HOWEVER, there is a new website that gives this data (which should be publicly available) out - It's called HouseSigma. Past Review: Solid website for data. More real estate brokerages should model their websites after BC Condos and Homes.

I've been able to track price/sq ft/dates of sold units which gives me an idea of the market and the price range of my own unit in order to sell it. You basically get a history of all buy/sells with specific details. When I decide to sell mine, I'll conctact BC Condos.

Negative experience: I use their website to obtain in-depth information on condos in BC. It's super easy to use and they have an extensive database, so finding information is pretty simple and quick. EDIT as of OCTOBER 21, 2022 I have changed my review to one star. When I initially signed up for this website, I received three emails in a row from this company over the span of six days in May 2022. I had not responded to any of them, other than to say I have left a review as I had used their website as a database and was extremely satisfied with that. Albeit I should have responded to the original emails to confirm my lack of interest in the real estate services, which I acknowledge. However, today on October 21, I received a text message from the same company asking again about my interest. My lack of response from the first three emails from May should reflect my disinterest. I was shocked and taken aback that this company would text my personal phone number directly. This was extremely unprofessional. I would be careful about providing any contact information.
