Expérience négative: Marie Latif at Home2Home Properties has been most unprofessional and unreasonable. She began threatening to evict us soon after we moved in (for no reason) and has said some terribly questionable things to us which probably qualify as criminal. All in all, Home2Home is a slumlord management company. P.S. they were supposed to clean the apartment and had us move into a filthy place. The place needs a lot of work which isn't getting done but we continue to pay rent. They are called "Home2Home" for a reason - you won't be a tenant of theirs for very long. It's like an in between home. Update: they kicked us out (as well as all the other tenants) because they were going to "knock the house down". Well, two years later, there's new tenants living in the house. Go figure.

Expérience fantastique: I’m 64 and have only dealt with two property management companies, Goldmar and just recently Home2Home. The contrast could not be more different. My experience with Home2Home was phenomenal. Lease signing took ~ 45 minutes with Kaela going over each aspect of the lease. When I received my keys Kaela went through the unit with a checklist checking every room thoroughly and turning on and off every appliance. This is how property management should be carried out and I would recommend them to everyone. With Goldmar I received a lease with errors and non-compliance with an extensive order from the LTB. Goldmar is an example of why property management should be regulated. Patrice Surrette could learn volumes from Kaela. Thank you Kaela for your professionalism and being the kind person you are.

And again, as mentioned before, we think it is you that does not show respect for the owner's property and also expect people to take care of things you leave behind - like putting a couch and your moving garbage on the other town houses' property for them to deal with. And again, if you wanna call this a lie - I took some of it with your son's grades from school - which you are more than welcome to come pick up from the office - along with your couch and your kid's flip flops.
And while you're there, maybe you should also take care of the rent you still owe - just because you don't think the LTB rules apply to you there is proper notice required.
And while this isn't Marie - I have heard you begged and pleaded her to house you again after wrecking another property managed by a different company.
All the best in your new owned house - not sure who you're going to blame the issues on now as the City will come after you - unless you put it on your poor unsuspecting neighbours.

Expérience négative: One of the worst Management groups. Not at all responsive once you get in the house. They asked me to fill my space even though I gave 2 months of notice period and when I found a replacement, they took more than 1.5 months, 20 calls, and more than 10 emails to return my deposit money from which they debited a hefty amount on name of cleaning. Had one of the worst experience with them, beware of them.
Mahendra - We try to make things as smooth as possible as we understand moving can be stressful. We understand there is a lot for you to organize. We are looking forward to you and your new bride making a home in Windsor Ontario.
Since you edited your review - we will adjust our response.
You wanted to break your lease after only 5 months of a one year contract.
We worked with you and your wife through the process of finding a replacement (advertising, travelling for showings, communication with potential tenants, screening, responding to last minute requests, etc). Responding to your daily demands as though you think you're the only person important.
As per your lease agreement you are required to clean your unit and leave it in condition for immediate occupancy. You sent pictures, but a formal inspection was not completed in person before you left due to your urgency. We understand there was an agreement for some furniture to be left behind so that didn't bother us. However, filling the building's garbage bin instead of properly calling garbage disposal and paying for it yourself was sneaky! YOUR sublet found the condition of the unit disgraceful and disgusting in person. Evidence of grease and hair was found in the kitchen sink (and pictures of such were sent to you). Further hair was blocking the drains in the other pipes as well.
You claimed to make a maintenance request on drainage but NOTHING was received regarding that. We received 2 requests and both were completed in full by our technicians and contractors.
The time constraints were due to the availability of contractors. Had you done what was required of you according to your lease in the first place, this would not be an issue.
We understand you moved to a more expensive city, but you have to take responsibility for your own actions (and lack of action).
We hope this is a learning experience and you do better at your next place.

Expérience négative: Currently being harassed by your agent Marie. You should check the FB messages, her calls, and her emails for proof. Update: she called at 43 minutes before the appointment to confirm and attempt to rush us, we were indeed there at the property within 5 minutes of the appointment time and have proof that one of our phones was stagnant at that exact location from 5 minutes after the appointment time to 40 minutes after the appointment time. Since we spent some time ringing the doorbell, knocking, and checking the rest of property including backyard and laneway looking for Marie before we sent the message at 8 minutes after the appointment time saying we were waiting on the step, it makes sense that it wasn’t stagnant until we stopped to attempt contact by phone. When we finally got a hold of her 32 minutes after the appointment time she claimed she waited 10 minutes and left. Since we were already at the point of texting because we couldn’t find her 2 minutes prior to her claiming to have left, we knew she was lying. When we spoke she was terribly worried about having wasted gas, I’m going to spend days recovering from this due to her no showing on someone with Chronic pain and making them stand in the cold for over half an hour but her poor gas tank, it has my thoughts and prayers. We also told Marie we were no longer interested in the apartment when she called the second time (I just hung up the first time) attempting to rebook the appointment an hour and 13 minutes after the original appointment time but instead of owning up to her being the main (though not only) reason why found the place undesirable, she doubled down and lied to the landlord too, painting us as irresponsible instead of fed up. She said we were in a rush to move knowing we had discussed that I had not yet even given notice on our current place and wasn’t willing to until I had a new place so I’m not sure why she told the landlord these lies that we were in some great rush to move (and then admitted telling the landlord in writing!). The night before when she called to book the appointment I said quite clearly that we were willing to wait for the right place but she rushed us saying the landlord wouldn’t wait that long, we had discussed March 1 as a potential possession date. We reached out to Sam on Facebook, who was the original contact we has made, these messages starting at 21 minutes after the appointment because I got no answer by text but didn’t receive an answer from Sam until much later after posting this review. After asking Marie to cease contact, she continued to send multiple emails and write this libellous response here. We made it very clear we weren’t interested in anything to do with this property management company or their agents long before she sent a decline, and she responded by threatening our future tenancy elsewhere. Even Marie’s language in the response is very telling and it’s absolutely her that responded here. We really don’t want anything to do with this company and certainly will never rent from anyone working for them after this experience. Oh and Btw the place wasn’t really anything to impress and was in shabby shape, the door on the front exterior of the home has non-secure hinges on the exterior of the building leaving it easily opened by anyone that has a hammer and a screwdriver …or has seen Ever After …or Pirates of the Carribean… but we weren’t there right? Update 2: she has emailed again continuing her harassment after being well informed we weren’t interested and asking her to cease. I believe we will be speaking with the police at this point.

When you failed to turn up at the appointment time even after we confirmed several times.. Then try to make excuses and lie, cry but fail to take the opportunity to reschedule. Clearly you just trying to get some one to turn around to meet with you. The agent was already at there at there next appoinment. They will not cancel a pre-booked appointment for someone who could not be bothered to show up on time or call to say they were running late. After 10 minutes they are instructed to leave to make the next appointment.

Mental torture, no response, poor team, poor communication, and top of that you will get blamed for such situations. Had issues calling for maintenance for HVAC, went through 2 days of freezing house without heats until you go personal to them and they never apologize for that. And many more…
We will re-inspect on Monday. You claim you have cheap rent then you should respect where you live. Broken front doors, broken door frames, bathrooms are black and look like they have not been cleaned in 20 years, you have only been there 18 months. This is not how you received the home. Now you have others living their who are not on the lease. Disrespectful. Total cost of damages for the main front door is $650 plus insulation. Sending multiple requests within minutes of each other is not going to get you repairs or engineers any faster. HVAC repairs for 2nd May and 20th May it is not cold.... you can put on a sweater till the engineer comes out.

Expérience positive: Decent company They’re pretty good as property managers for their own properties but stay away from placements. If they’re just placing you into a lease but not managing don’t bother. They’ll wipe their hands clean of issues once you sign the lease and are in the home. Hard workers, and somewhat resourceful nonetheless. 2023 Edit: Since this was posted, they have attempted to close out the tenancy here and prepare for the next tenants. I do find this a good characteristic in property management companies.

We make us pay for October and you saying I left the house badly. You know it's not the end of the month yet. I am glad you tried to help but even the city didn't want me to continue living there after they saw my bills since last winter. Hopefully you going to fix that house properly before renting it again. You sent someone to fix the problem with doors were blocking due to the over painting, that person told me I shouldn't move there before you finish all the work. How could I knew? I don't know how you let people rent this house.1178 Oak it's not a good place to leave until you fully do a renovation.
You own the landlord $5,678.10 in rent. You Enwin electricity utilities In excess of $500 Enwin Water in excess of $450 .... $350 in garbage clean up and dump fees ..... Pay what you owe.
Brand new bathroom, painted throughout. The kitchen cabinets were not broken and doors were not hanging off. The fridge doors and basket were not broken, there was no holes in the walls. the garden was clean, no tiles were broken in the laundry rooms. the screens doors were not broken and the door pumps were in place.
If you look bad its because you are. However if you wish to come and fix everything you broke you are more than welcome.

Marie Latif (director of homes 2 homes)was really helpful. Got in an accident on that road. I texted Homes 2 Homes at 9:45PM. Within 1 MINUTE she replied and she stayed up until 1AM helping me get the footage from their security cameras. If it wasn’t for Marie then I would’ve had to pay from pocket to fix my car but luckily I had an Amazing person like Marie and Val Smith (Landlord) to help me find the footage. Unfortunately, not everyone can be accepted for every house we have available. We had 4 applications in for the property that you applied for and the best one was chosen. In addition, the turnover time for applications is 24-72 hours after receiving all of the information needed for the application, which was explained to you after submission of said documents.

Expérience négative: This company thinks they have they same abilities as a loan company for screening tenants. They hire students who think renting an apartment is the same as applying for a loan. Landlords will get tenants faster on their own then using this company.

They were very disrespectful and they want to pry into every facet of your life just to put a roof on your head. I would not recommend this company. I also want this company to know that God does not like ugly, treat people how you would want someone to treat those you love should they be in the same shoes and stop worrying so much about a title because a title will fade but the judgement of God will not.
Hello Brook... sorry you were not happy with the screening process. In today's environment, there are a lot of people who are not truthful on their applications, and in order to verify you are who you say you are then the documents are needed. This is standard across all property management companies and for the safety of our current tenants. We can see your name is not Brook as we have no applications from you or that you didn't want to fill one in. Which is fine as it is your choice to complete the application or not. We cannot just issue leases with a year's financial commitment without checking what type of tenants you will be and if you meet the criteria set by the Landlord. We wish you the best of luck.

Dave, sorry you have not been one of our tenants and then you would be better informed rather than "hear say" not sure if you are aware that not all properties are suitable for pets and some dogs are considered dangerous breads or the property would put more straining on the dogs joints. We sit down with every tenant and go through terms and conditions of the lease very carefully it takes about an hour. Nothing secret about the lease as its a standard Ontario lease. Our handymen and contractors repair everything that comes in, many time the repairs are done the same day. You may wish to ask your friend to come in to the office or call 519 890 5245 if they are not happy or better still why dont you come in person?
