Expérience négative: I have lived under sunrex management for more than 3 years. I have found in the time that the building has not been fixed properly. They patch problems but do not address real issues like mold in the walls. I have had issues with cockroaches and poor insulation. Birds pecked holes into the outside walls and their idea to fix it was to spray an ugly foam to fill the holes that the birds pulled back out. They have done nothing since. I have a friend who rents from a different building with sunrex and has had the same experience. My building changed management in the new year and almost no notice or information was given. 2 days after the announcement was made, I came home to papers under my door that the switch was taking effect immediately. I had no idea who was manging our building. I will never live under sunrex management again and I would not recommend them to anyone

She answers my millions of questions, always calls back if I leave a message, and has been so incredibly supportive in every way. I have accidentally called her when she is on holidays and she still answers. When it's a big move from a distance, like mine is, having this support on the other end when you haven't even moved in yet allays so many worries and fears. Thank you, Jenny! Michele

Expérience fantastique: The most attractive piece to choosing the apartment I live in now was the fact that I could personalize my space by painting it the color I want and hanging pictures and shelves on the walls. My cat and I love the location and 'woods' right outside the door that we're constantly seeing deer walk through. This space is truly a gem and I feel privileged to live here.

The staff are kind and approachable, the maintenance team is excellent, and they are always quick to help whenever something is needed. Sunrex organizes wonderful community events such as barbecues and Christmas gatherings, making residents feel truly supported and part of a community. I even receive thoughtful emails from them for long weekends and special occasions, which is a small but meaningful gesture. The property is always kept clean, maintenance requests are completed on time, beautiful flowers are planted in the summer, and snow is cleared right away in the winter. Every staff member, from the leasing agents and managers to the maintenance crew and cleaners, treats residents with respect and professionalism. I see Sunrex always take care of important upkeep like AC filter replacements, duct cleaning, and fire alarm checks on schedule. Overall, I am very happy with the services Sunrex provides. They truly make our apartment a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable place to live.

Expérience fantastique: My husband and I just moved into a Sunrex-managed building in April. I absolutely love that all of the Sunrex buildings are pet-friendly! So far, we've enjoyed the past few months of living in our apartment. Our initial walkthrough with our caretaker went smoothly and quickly, yet thorough. Our apartment has LED lighting, so our hydro bills are on the lower side. Water is included, which is amazing! Our unit was renovated fairly recently with new appliances. It definitely is making our experience feel more homely. Everyone in our building and our neighbourhood are very friendly and polite! Our building has 1 laundry machine and 1 dryer, both of which are quite large. We like that the laundry card can be requested for, or we can use the app on our phones to pay. We have no complaints by far. FYI, the buildings are non-smoking (including on the balconies, by the doors, and in the parking lots). As for the management and Sunrex staff: our caretakers have been great! They are just one call, text, or email away. Shaun (Leasing & Marketing Manager) has been helpful and has answered all of our questions with zero hesitation. I've had to call the office a couple of times with questions, and the representatives have always been friendly and courteous. I'd recommend Sunrex to friends and family. They've been amazing!

Expérience positive: They really care about their renters, and are fairly quick on the response time with repairs and questions. They host events on a semi-regular basis that have free admission such as free ice cream and a BBQ. The building itself is pretty nice, a few nicks and scratch’s here and there but no complaints about the actual building. My only complaint is the air conditioning, the apartment can get fairly hot during the summer and air conditioner the apartment comes with doesn’t work super effectively into the bedrooms. I recommend getting an electric air conditioner and you’re set.

There are all amenities available that make people life more easygoing such as near bus stop, hospital, grocery stores, gas stations and so on. On top of that ,the building is very quiet and nice. So much so that when our first building was sold by sunrex to another company we moved to another Sunrex property just because we missed the attention and care they always give their renters and buildings. From building BBQs to ice cream pop ups in an effort to build community among tenants, to answering emergency calls effectively, I could not be more impressed with the way they manage their company.

SUNREX itself is very present in our building community and it’s great how they care about their tenants. It is great to be respected and treated kindly by all for the hard earned money people spend on rent. Inside and outside of the common areas and suites are meticulously cared for. It is a great place to live.

From the friendly neighbors, picturesque walks in the summers and the perfect mounds of snow to play in and make snow angels. Our Caretaker is very professional as she is always on top of things and it sure is a relief to know we will always be taken good care of here. There are a few things that have been a little underwhelming with fixed and patched, but nothing detrimental. Overall, sunrex is the best company we have rented with.

The unit consistently experiences plumbing problems and pest concerns however , management has on unfairly placed blame on us for unrelated issues such as odours in the building. Additionally, security is a major concern. My car was vandalized in the parking lot where there are no cameras, leaving us vulnerable. Having lived here for five years, When I inquired about upgraded or renovated units, I was informed that none were available in good condition, which is disappointing for long term tenants. Despite always paying rent on time, previously offered discounts were removed without explanation, which adds to the sense of unfair treatment. Unfortunately I am highly disappointed with Sunrex’s unfair treatment.

We haven’t had many problems with the apartment for things needing repair or change, and it is so convenient to have laundry available on each floor. We are planning to hopefully spend some more time living here before buying a house.

Expérience fantastique: We have lived here for five years now, and have nothing negative to say. Any issues we’ve had (which have been few) are acknowledged and corrected very quickly. They do regular maintenance and keep the building looking great, inside and out. We really appreciate that they do regular checks of the furnace, air conditioner, and dryer vents to prevent any issues. They even hired a food truck last month to treat us all to burgers and fries! It’s in a great location, only about 10-15 minutes to downtown whether you’re riding the bus or driving. We live in a pet friendly building and love making friends with all of our doggy neighbours.

Expérience positive: The frontier is a lovely building. Management is good currently, Sunrex taking over has been better than the previous management. Need to fix pot holes in parking lot and stop patching over them and not doing a thorough job. Needs to be fixed already and was just “fixed” a few weeks ago. Do not rent in the main building, way too many kids and people and noise on the common areas. I recommend the other two buildings. 556 has nice views of the little pond and trails if you can get a suite on the backside. As I’m sure other apartment buildings are, the noise is not great. Can hear people above and below me and in hallways- dogs barking etc. I would try to rent on top floor.

Expérience négative: Sunrex Management is a disaster in disguise. Behind the polished listings is a money-hungry company that will do whatever it takes to keep your damage deposit. They automatically deduct $110 for “carpet cleaning” whether the carpets are clean or not. It is not optional, and it is not fair. They just take it. Renting from Sunrex feels more like signing up to be ripped off. Matthew Penner, the so-called property manager, treats tenants like a burden and shows just as little respect to his own staff. Unprofessional doesn’t even begin to describe it. If you are considering renting with Sunrex, save yourself the stress and look somewhere else. Towers Realty is a MUCH better option!

From the very beginning, Sheldon went above and beyond every time I called or needed assistance. Whether it was a building-related issue or simply needing a listening ear during a tough day, he was always there, reliable, kind, and ready to help. Sheldon was not just a caretaker; he became a genuine friend. His presence brought a sense of comfort, security, and even joy to my stay. I always felt safe and looked after, and I truly appreciated the laughter we shared along the way. I will miss De la Seigneurie Blvd, but what I will miss most is Sheldon, the heart behind the building. Thank you, Sheldon, for everything. You made this place feel like home.

Expérience négative: I didn't have a good experience at Kern Park on Roanoke St. Mold in the bathroom, mold in the ac unit, ceiling had water marks, broken leaking toilet. Communication inconsistencies between office and resident manager who lost paperwork and errors with uploading of documents. Company wasnt honest nor cared about their tennants regarding issues/changes; making it very difficult to deal with the property manager; he simply didnt care or spoke to you in a dismissive unprofessional manner. RTB needed to get involved as rent increased more than the allocated % leaving people to scramble, notices given without proper time frame deadlines and agreements slipped under doors VS given in hand... The constant annoyance of emails making people uncomfortable became a daily occurrence. You could hear mice running around in the vents and laundry room and visible droppings left. Break-ins in the storage lockers or main doors wouldn't latch/close properly, no buzzer to let people in (especially if you cant do stairs constantly or an emergency personal need to come into the building). Boiler heating system making it a sauna in the winter with no relief, other tennants would be in my parking spot constantly making me park elsewhere or on the street. Resident manager didn't care or wouldn't reply back to you in a timely manner. I dont recommend this company. Properties on Kildare also have similar experiences with rodents

Expérience fantastique: At first, it was a little challenging to get in touch with Sunrex Management. Likely due to the high number of applicants. But once I received an email from Chi, the leasing officer for 1924 Portage Ave, everything went smoothly. She was very responsive and helpful with all the information I needed. When I moved in, the apartment was super clean, and Chi was transparent about the things in the unit that still needed to be fixed. She respected my choices and kept communication open. Overall, I had a good experience and I’m hopeful everything continues to go well.

Like yes pls let's all waste time and gas cause it's all free. I wish places like these would hire humans who don't lie or sugar coat or guess... w.e you want to call it. Clear answers please.

When we came to chancellor drive apartments, the mats are not cleaned, earlier they said the mat will be replaced and then they we can’t we only do shampooing, even that is not done yet and we came on February 1,2025. The laundry is bit expensive. Not good service and management

I just had my dining room light and kitchen light replaced with new fixtures at no cost to me. So much brighter now! The building managers, Chichi & Rafael, are awesome! They handle everything quickly, are always helpful, and take great care of the tenants. One time, my car got stuck in the snow. I was just going to borrow a shovel, but Chichi & Rafael came out and helped us get the car out without us even asking! They’re genuinely kind and always take care for the people living here. The managers are in the building next door, so if you ever have a problem, you can reach them right away.

Expérience négative: we had a very bad experience with sunrex management. we lived in there property for 1 year and on the day of moving we cleaned the entire suite and when we talked about the security deposit they said your suite was not cleaned and full of bad odour but there was nothing like this at all this is a totally scam and all building is full of bugs and rats and we didn’t complaint anything even so i request everyone not to rent suite from sunrex management team

Expérience négative: Keller towers is a nightmare. No one calls back about ongoing issues. Everything has to go through RTB including basic maintenance. Will do everything in their power to save themselves, their money and even told me I HAD to purchase cleaning on poverty disability income because"regardless of circumstances it needed to be kept clean" (it was clean but unorganized bc wpg doesn't help single disabled moms "do chores their kids can" regardless of circumstances. Because I asked about five year painting! They refuse to do any upkeep until you move even if THEIR dirt cheap contracting has clear holes everywhere. Landlords and random repair men enter suites **without any notice** whatsoever and once while I was in the shower to tap my phone line! They will hide cameras and call CFS if you bring up any sort of struggle then she will show up claiming you're a safety issue for things they heavily neglect and refuse to fix. They will take particle board drawers out of your deposit but only if you don't forget and bring it up many times. They lie about what they tell tenants. They let people stomp upstairs all day and night because of "legal loopholes". They let dogs bark for hours. They definitely lie about their care for tenants. Also NOT fully accessible AT ALL that is a lie do your own research on those details ;)

Expérience négative: The property manager Jenny is great. Soundproofing in the building is NOT good. If you’re in the first floor, listening to people above you is VERY disruptive. No outdoor plug in for vehicles.

Expérience fantastique: Took over a Sub-Lease with Sunrex. Was an incredibly easy process and everyone is super responsive. They’ve got a really good system in place!

Expérience négative: I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this company.My lease agreement ended on 30 of November, yet my bank account was unlawfully charged for the following month. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue, the company has made no effort to address the problem. As a result of this unauthorized withdrawal, my account is now overdrawn, causing additional financial difficulties. What makes this situation even worse is that it is not the first time such an issue has occurred. The company clearly lacks proper oversight of its automatic payment systems and fails to respond to tenant concerns. This level of customer service is unacceptable. If the issue is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter to the appropriate regulatory and legal authorities. I do not recommend working with this company.

Expérience fantastique: After living there for 2 years, I moved out of 40 de la Seignurie Blvd. They were amazing and wonderful to deal with. Mid July my air conditioner broke and they had a new one installed within 2 hours! Highly recommend. After dealing with other rental companies, this has been the best one!

Expérience fantastique: Awesome company. Easy to deal with. Jeff was great at Riverstone Heights buildings. Company made things easy on us from beginning to end including getting our deposit back. Highly recommended.

Expérience négative: Very bad service. They will loot your money after you leave their apartment.we got 3 thousands of dollar fine just for a little spot . I lived there for 2 years . If you live there for 1 or 2 years just for few spot sunrex charges thousands of dollar . If you dont want to waste your money do-not apply .
