Expérience fantastique: I’ve been looking out from our windows* at the river, admiring the lawn, kept beautifully all year by Wade and noticing the newly stained wood of the parking lot and fences - Rhonda worked tirelessly all spring and summer doing that. She also did a great job on our bathtub: removed the old, gross, mouldy caulking; recaulked it, beautifully. Rhonda brought in a plumber to fix our bathroom sink drain, which works properly now, for the first time in four years. She also had a professional adjust the striker panel of our front door and it now clicks closed again. *Wade removed and cleaned four of the windows we look out of. The second floor laundry room and hall are kept clean, as is the entrance to the building. Rhonda has responded immediately to any text or request that either of us have sent or made of her. In summation, I want to be sure that you know what a treasure you and we have in them.

Expérience négative: Live in the condos on Rothesay and have been experiencing foundation issues for 13 months. Our neighbours unit is literally collapsing into ours with walls and the roof cracking at the seems. We can see daylight through the wall in our bedroom. Immediately contacted property management and have had minimal communication or action. Left numerous voicemails to our property manger and have countless emails un responded to. Even the contact us forms are not being responded to. Can anyone give us a line of communication as this is our second winter going into this. Heating costs have risen, sicknesses have taken place due to mould and mildew and the constant cold air. Will anyone take us seriously? Up until these issues I will say they have been great and attentive but once these issues have started we’ve faced nothing but hardships.

Expérience négative: Towers manages my Condominium on Wellington crescent, specifically Heather Laurencelle is the property manager employed by towers. Towers made a notice to owners that personal items stored in the underground parkade behind or infront of unit owned stalls would have their items removed as per towers management. Unfortunately I never received this Digital notice neither did I receive a physical notice. Multiple items were taken from my stall including a $300 hockey stick, a push broom, and car cleaning supplies. Multiple calls and voicemails were made to Heather about this and I have yet to receive any sort of call back about this issue. This was well over a month ago now.

Expérience négative: A very disappointing company. Towers has some good ideas at the corporate level (social activities I've seen and such) but where they fall apart is the daily lived experience of tenants. I don't think Towers has great caretaking and is largely unresponsive to issues like problem or unsafe tenants, broken appliances or general repairs. Until that gets addressed, Towers is the corporate version of a slumlord. I have not been a tenant, but every friend I've had experienced the same set of issues. My fiancée, before moving in with me had the same issues as well and I've witnessed it first hand. They also seem to have an u spoken rule to make any excuse to withhold your damage deposit. In contrast to better companies like Globe who tend to actually give your damage deposit back.

Expérience négative: Not overly impressed tbh. Parking issues - offering to new tenants rather than existing who want and need parking. Inconvenience with paying rent online... Only some banks work. Have to go in and pay my rent in person every month because they do not have my bank authorized. If they fixed these issues I'd give a better rating because the caretakers are great here but the other staff do not care about current renters unfortunately. I wish I didn't resign my lease.... Won't make that mistake again... And will not recommend to others.

Expérience négative: Horrible management in this central office at all!! No parking, and homeless people keep smashing car windows all the time (100 Alexander Ave). This place is unsafe and absolutely not worth the money. Stay away from this complex and from any property managed by this company. I strongly do not recommend it. Avoid all apartment complexes in downtown altogether!

Expérience négative: This company is extremely dishonest with security deposits. They omit some imperfections during move in, refused to fix a light fixture that put my family in danger, and charged us 500$ for “damages” and 150$ for "cleaning the oven". We returned a very clean unit but they obviously were after our money. I’m filing with the RTB to dispute this, please do the same if it happens to you as this most likely is their usual methods. Future renters, be warned, do not trust them.

Expérience négative: Worse customer service ever, these leasing departments people don’t even know how to talk to a person kindly, they come off so rude to you like they don’t even care if you do any business with them. These guys don’t even communicate with each other, one person will tell you one thing another will say something else. You guys need some training on how to do business and talk to a person with empathy and kindness.

Expérience négative: Application took 3 weeks because the leasing agent who was responsible for my file had allegedly quit her job. I then got in contact with another leasing agent who was extremely unpleasant, claiming I hadn’t sent certain documents (causing delays in processing time) which I had clearly sent in multiple emails which I had copies of. Once I had received my approval I had requested the lease agreement which I was denied because “we are closing in 30 minutes, I will not send you an agreement this close to closing” after waiting almost 3 weeks for an approval. We went with another leasing company who took care of us in a professional and timely matter. I would recommend going down to the office and dealing with Tower Realty in person, in order to receive the proper service and respect you deserve. Extremely unprofessional.

Expérience négative: We've been living at 30 Donwood Drive for a long time, but the condition of the building has been getting worse every day. The cleanliness is unacceptable — especially in shared spaces like the laundry room. The floors are filthy, covered in used dryer sheets, garbage, spills, and stains that have been there for weeks. The building is so dirty that it's becoming a health hazard. People could easily get sick from being in these unsanitary conditions. What’s even more frustrating is that despite multiple complaints, Towers Realty has done nothing. Management simply doesn’t seem to care. We deserve a clean, safe environment — especially when we are paying rent like everyone else. Photos attached as proof. This is not how anyone should have to live.

Expérience négative: Awful rental company! Steer clear. Currently attempting to take me to collections after they made it extremely difficult for me to sublet leaving multiple applicants waiting for weeks. At one point deciding to start contacting people back (as the person they had processing applications was out of the office) for many people to decline or have moved on because they waited so long! I guess they forget the paper trail they left with me, including the emails and messages I have from multiple people who applied and called their office and left multiple voicemails INCLUDING myself as they weren't processing applications. I moved out, paid an extra day of rent and notified them I'll be terminating the remainder of my lease as they've made things extremely difficult for me and after I sent them multiple applicants took a week or more to even offer or phone anyone back! Goodluck with this towers as I'm assuming you forget the emails between me and your office and all the messages I have of people who have applied. Please do not get stuck in a lease with these awful, lazy people. Worst mistake I ever did and they will not getting a dime for me nor will collections be doing anything until RTB settles this as they were the ones who advised my I have grounds to terminate my lease and to just keep all the proof. Slimy company! Get paid to sit around and screw over tenants. They have tried this with multiple other people I know aswell. Gross behaviour from a professionally owned company! To top it off I get a random email almost a year later they have transferred my balance to a collection agency. Mind you no one from their office has informed me of a balance prior or been in contact with me. I sent them a very detailed email advising I am terminating my lease gave them reason and paid an extra day for the month. Their response "we've offered your apartment to multiple people they have all declined" clearly they've declined as they were waiting for weeks at a time to receive an update or even a call back! Made the collection agency aware that they did not inform me of this charge for rent and haven't bothered to follow up and just decided to transfer an "outstanding" balance. Good luck with that!

Expérience négative: The landlord's are great and take care of the property great but the company charges rent and then to use the app to pay it it then charges you a percentage as a service fee so currently they are not only taking the rent but an addition $22.50 as a service fee to pay the rent which is a god damn ripoff ... Not happy that in the space of entering in a new card suddenly my service fees went from 6.50 a month to 22.50 a month You aren't a bank I shouldn't have to pay service fees to pay my rent ... This bullshit culture of service fees to make a profit off of your tenants is absolute garbage ... You will be receiving a call in the morning for formal complaints and I will be looking into the legality of this as I don't think it's legal

Expérience fantastique: I run a commercial painting company and I have the pleasure of working with Towers Realty in their properties. They have a very organized system to communicate work orders and their staff are very friendly. In working with them for years, one of the things that sticks out the most to me is that when work needs to be done in the properties, they do it RIGHT the first time. They do not cut corners. It feels good working with a company that cares about the health and safety of their tenants, and also is concerned about providing a very high quality place to live. Expérience négative: The caretaker BARGED in my unit without my permission yesterday. He did NOT message me to ask my consent to go into my apartment. Did he knock before? Idk I’m at school. But how did I found out he barged in my apartment WITHOUT my consent, he took pictures of my apartment ac and my floor (which have my personal belongings) and questioned me why I did not put the cover on. HELLO??!! What if I did put the cover on, are u not going to tell me that u have to come in to my apartment unit? I don’t understand the logic in this. I believe the procedure, even if it’s an emergency, are, knock, if no one answers, inform tenant they are gonna go in because of the issue, get consent, and then get in. Where are the procedures in between?? They skipped straight to get in!!!! When I get back home at night, I video taped the whole me inspecting the apartment if u need proof. There are places and actions that I think it’s not related to “water emergency”. 1) The bedroom curtain is up, which I always left it closed. 2) there is black rubber thing on top of the heat vent in my bedroom. 3) the sink in the bathroom and kitchen is dirty 4) the toilet bowl have dirty water on the ring. 5) the light next to the ac, which is originally on the floor turned on, is now laying flat and turned off. 6) the fridge is not working properly. My milk which is supposed to expire on 26 Jan gone bad. I am still using the milk yesterday morning. 7) the caretaker went into my storage room, find the ac cover and unplug and cover the ac, I did not give him consent to search my unit Also, they had tried to barged in before. I was sleeping and I suddenly hear keys sound. I saw the knob turning so I rushed out to see what’s happening. He said it’s about water issue. Did NOT say anything about why is he not texting me first before unlocking the door and going into the apartment. The wall next to my door is missing since forever (half year). I have pictures if u want proof as well. The wall missing has bugging me since day one. And they are taking forever to fix it. Plus, I don’t even know there is a new caretaker in the building. It can be a stranger or someone else. As a woman living alone in this building, The Horizon, I feel unsafe. I feel like someone, especially the caretaker, will barged in my unit, anytime they want. The only thing they need to say is “it’s an emergency/issue.” The worst experience living here. Lived here for almost 3 years. And it’s getting worse. This situation is unbearable.

Expérience négative: I have been renting apartments from last 8 years but towers reality was the worst one yet. I wish I could give 0 star. Lived in the apartment and it was horrible. Tried to contact them multiple times but never got a reply back. My personal information was shared with unknown visitors coming in the building. I was charged for normal wear and tear. If you decided to live in one of their building remember at the end you have to pay for using the showers or using the gas stoves from your security deposit. Now in reply to this review I am sure they will leave something like sorry to hear this or that and we will look into that but it goes no where we all know.

Expérience négative: Warning: do not rent with this organization in South Osborne. My partner and I have endured many issues during our three-year residency, including water stains, pipe odours, and a sewage access point in one of the bedrooms. Hydro is unreasonably high priced even though we are as frugal as possible (we're talking $100-300 per month depending on the season). My parents have a big house and pay the same as we do for a tiny 2-bedroom apartment. The building's condition is subpar, with cracked walls and a noticeable tilt. Additionally, the landlord rarely acknowledges or addresses concerns, and an almost $10 surcharge applies when using their app to pay rent (unless dropping off a monthly cheque) Regrettably, the management team's demeanour and maintenance efforts have been the worst of all. We are saving to purchase a house and will not consider renting with this company EVER again. The only reason I gave 1 star is because at least the rent is cheap compared to other apartments in the area.

Expérience négative: This management company is one of the worst in the city. My parents condo had some issues in January of this year and the manager for their address Heather Laurencelle does not reply back to e-mails or phone calls. She bluntly lies. It has taken over 10 months for them to make incomplete repairs. I would be ware of any building being managed by this group. DO NOT BUY A CONDO managed by Towers Realty.

Expérience négative: I have called an emailed one day after another and have not Received responses. When I do get a response, it’s always conversations filled with attitude and not helpful at all. I’ve been trying to look at apartments that they are trying to sublet, but it seems impossible to get any information. Also, when they do reply on email and you have questions they don’t not reply back for days. Many times I’ve received responses like “I am super busy right now”

Expérience positive: In hindsight, Towers Realty was actually pretty decent. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. We moved out because of a massive bedbug infestation sweeping through the building. When we talked to the exterminator, he said it was because the company was too cheap to spray all the adjacent units. They were just spraying the affected units, and then “inspecting” the adjacent units which isn’t good enough and that was why it kept spreading. So we literally tossed probably about one third or maybe even close to half of everything we owned into the trash, and moved in with some family members after our lease expired. Then, a few months later we saw on their website that they actually LOWERED the rent in our old building if we wanted to move back in. If they would have offered that to us, we would have absolutely stayed. But they didn’t. The new lower rate was to entice people to move in, not to prevent people from moving out. Sad. On another note, the staff were very fast to make repairs. One exception was some water damage and a chipped tile, we filed for repairs and for whatever reason they just never emailed us back. But everything else we requested was handled quickly, and was done about as well as you would expect. And another thing too was they gave us our entire security deposit back, and they even gave it back to us pretty quick. I was originally going to leave 1 star just because of how traumatic and costly the bedbug situation was, but after dealing with some of the other companies in this city and not even getting approved for an apartment after months of searching; I’m man-enough admit when I’ve made a mistake. We should have stayed in our old apartment and just waited out the bedbug problem. But as I mentioned earlier in the review; there was ZERO indications of if that would be any time soon and we had already lost so much of our things with no end in sight, at the time it just made sense to leave. Such is life, I’m afraid.

Our caretaker Sherry has always been super helpful and always very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we’ve got. She is always super friendly whenever I’ve seen her around the building. She does an awesome job taking care of not only the building but also the tenants here!

Expérience fantastique: We have been very happy with our experience with towers realty. The rental process was easy to navigate and the office staff was very responsive. Our super Sherry at 555 River has also been phenomenal. We had a few issues arise within the first couple of months (sink/fridge) and she took care of them so fast! Very grateful for her hard work.

Expérience négative: The worst service ever received. Apartment was available but the management says you need to have a viewing while the caretaker never answers. Informed the management but they say nothing can be done by them. And then later the apartment is give to someone while the rejected us for not having viewing. Would never recommend someone.

Expérience négative: Went to view an apartment. Caretaker was nice. Apartment was a mess and badly needed painting. (Walls clearly haven't been painted in at least 10 to 15 years based on how extremely faded & patchy they were.) Caretaker said the landlord does not have suites painted. At best, the walls are washed. (Not much to wash when it's down to the dry wall.) Getting hold of the Towers rep wasn't pleasant. Her attitude was as if she had better things to do and my calling her was an annoyance. Having owned businesses, such an attitude would not have been tolerated. If I decided not to let to go it would only be because I needed someone to get the coffee. Receptionist was nice though. In short time, I'm wondering if I should simply stay clear of anything under Tower's umbrella.

Expérience négative: We are the owners in Kenaston Village and we often rent the common area known as the "Clubhouse". We had dealt with Judy until she retired and she's been amazing. One of the conditions are to leave the place clean. We've cleaned wiped and mopped the area and took out the trash to the best of our ability on April 22nd. 2 days later, I saw through my bank account that my damage deposit of $250 was deposited. I've called at least 20 times but no one answers. I've mailed and said that they had not inform me of any damage and they should refund my damage deposit. Property Manager Heather Laurencelle answered my long email in a few words that basically says "It is what it is, deal with it" I have not receive any explanation or proof that I've not met the cleaning criteria. Heather seems to think that since I signed the waiver they are free to do what they want with my deposit and cash it without even notifying me. Guess what? The waiver is forfeit if it's against the law and it is, since Manitoba security deposit guideline clearly states that they can't charge more that $20/hour for "excessive cleaning" requirements. As a small business owner, I can not imagine doing something like this and replying to customer politely and say "it is what it is. deal with it." Well Google Community to the rescue! Property Managers should not think of themselves as deities and try to talk with us. We are not letting you rob our hard earned money without fighting for it.

Expérience fantastique: I wanted to take a moment to share how I feel about Towers Realty. I’ve lived in this apartment since December 2023 and my experience has been great so far! The caretaker, Sherry, is exceptional at her job and answers right away if there are any issues (so far there have been none!) Sherry checks in via text to make sure everything is running as it should and if I have any questions or concerns she gets back right away. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything is good, and I feel very lucky to have this suite be my first since moving out of my parents house! I’m very happy

Expérience négative: I have been a tenant of an apartment at 70 Donwood Dr for almost 2 years, my experience with this company has been horrible for several reasons . First the communication with the office is terrible. On November 28, my 2-year-old son suffered an accident, a lamp fell from the ceiling and hit my baby's forehead, causing a concussion. I informed the office what happened. They told me they would send someone to check, today we are January 15, still no one has come to check the lamp. Another reason I would like to rate whit 0 to this company is because I called many to this office to talk about the caretaker, she is a rude and lying person, who only makes my days horrible in this place, she has a Pitbull dog walking throughout the building without leashing it, when you complain to her For her dog, she only says that her dog is on her property and she has lived there for many years. ....... The building has a special area for barbecue, I cannot enjoy that area, because the caretaker is bothered by the smoke from the barbecue in her window in a common area outside the building. On Mother's Day 2022, the caretaker made up a story that my son spilled oil on a carpet in the common area, she never talked to me about it and never showed me where the spilled oil was, until 2 weeks later I received a bill. of 70 dollars that I had to pay, I called the office and they couldn't explain it to me at this time , I immediately walked the entire building, took photos and sent them to the office showing that the 3 entrances, all hallways from the first to the third floor, the 2 Stairs and almost all the front doors in all the apartments had the same old stains, they did not listen to me and only said that I had to pay, since the caretaker of the building decided to charge me for 3 old stains, which she knows that the stains are all over the building, so that I wouldn't go out and have more barbecues with my children outside because the smoke from the barbecue bothered her . Last year I lost the fob, I asked the caretaker for a new fob, a new one, she responded by text that she didn't have another one, that I had to wait, that the office will send one, I was waiting for about a month, I asked again text to ask her when the Fob would arrive and she replied that she had always had it on her desk, that she was not going to chase me to give me the new Fob, that she informed my son so that he would look for it, my son who is under age and not signing any lease contract, I spent a month walking with my baby in my arms from the parking lot to the main entrance of the building just because the caretaker liked to see me walking those distances every day. The last thing that she did to me was that I bought some new couch , I called the City to pick up the old one, I put the couch where the city asked me to put them, she explained to me that they were in a bad place, I asked her to tell me where should I put it, I tell her my son and my boyfriend will move the couch when they back , the caretaker husband went to my place and asked me when the city can , I tell him on monday mornig , tell the office ,I call the office and the secretary, pass me to property manager and one more time she doesn't answer the phone, conclusion the caretaker called the company to take the couch knowing that I had called the city, this caused financial problems since the company demands $120 plus $ 30 . I don't want occasional problems for anyone, but I really tired about all the problems, I just looking for solutions. If I rented this apartment was looking for a safe and comfortable place for my children and me.

Expérience fantastique: Hi! I live at The Hedges and the caretakers are Colleen and Kirk. They are the best! If I text them for something they are right at it and if they can’t fix it they get someone who can. They are pleasant and fun loving and they decorate the building outside and inside and do an amazing job! They make this building a great place to be!!! The hallways are clean and well kept. I can’t say enough about Colleen and Kirk!!!!! However I do have a problem with Towers Realty. I have emailed twice and have never received a reply., The carpeting is so badly stained that I am embarrassed to show my apartment to any one. All in all the company receives maybe 2 stars!

Expérience fantastique: Wow! Really awesome service! We were looking for an apartment for a month and we always waited on answer too long, like 5 - 10 days! But here we made an appointment with very kind manager (70 Donwood Drive). We viewed apartment in the evening, good place and everything is well maintained. We had unusual situation, so we decided to apply offline. Next morning we came to the office where we were met by a wonderful ukrainian receptionist who helped us fill out the application and suggested what additional documents were needed. Next, our application was handed over to Azra. Here attention please! After less than 1 hour I got call from Azra and she said that our application has already approved!!! During the day we signed the contract online, paid the deposit and the deal was concluded! We spent less than 1 day on the all procedures! It's unbelievable! We are really grateful And we are hope that our future experience with Towers Realty Group will be the same impressive as a first one.

Expérience négative: I don't even know where to begin. Dirty inside of building, garbage outside. Hazardous ice build up at entry ways and walkways, I personally have fallen due to the lack of shoveling. Nearly impossible to reach the property managers for any reason, no answers when we need maintenece. Unprofessional. I have asked for caretaker info multiple times and no response. Definitely do not recommend, I would rate 0 stars if possible.

Expérience négative: I've been a tenant at 100 Prevette Street for over three years, with Sarah Penton as the current property manager. During this time, my experience has been marred by various issues. First, the security at 100 Prevette Street is highly inadequate. Car break-ins in the parking lot are disturbingly frequent, and my own vehicle was targeted five times over the years. In one instance, the thief resorted to drilling a hole in my gas tank when they found nothing else to steal. The presence of security cameras in the building seemed pointless as management denied access to the footage. Additionally, the elevator is perpetually out of order, sometimes remaining unrepaired for months. Even when fixed, it tends to break down shortly after, forcing residents to use the stairs regularly, unintentionally substituting for a gym membership. Lastly, sanitation is a significant concern. The apartment complex rarely has a caretaker, and it has been over eight months without professional cleaning. The result is a filthy, foul-smelling environment with an ongoing epidemic of flies and cockroaches. It took considerable effort from tenants to compel the management to address this issue. When pest control was finally scheduled, I received a notice advising pregnant women and children under four to vacate the premises for 12 to 24 hours. Given my wife's pregnancy and the absence of alternative accommodations, I contacted Sarah Penton for assistance. Her dismissive response and lack of concern were deeply disheartening. I resorted to booking a hotel for my family every time pest control was conducted, incurring monthly expenses of over $500. After four months, it became evident that the treatment was ineffective, with recurring cockroach infestations. When I inquired about the timeline for resolution, Sarah's response was unsatisfactory. Upon sharing these concerns with other tenants, it became apparent that not all units were receiving treatment, and some were unaware of the situation. When I raised this issue with management, the response was an eviction notice. In summary, my experience at 100 Prevette Street with Tower Realty has been marked by security issues, elevator malfunctions, sanitation problems, and a lack of consideration for tenant welfare. I caution anyone considering renting here, or with Tower Realty in the future, to be aware of these significant concerns and the apparent lack of concern for tenant well-being and security.

Expérience négative: I moved into a condo building managed Monopoly Realty but in a suite managed by Towers Realty Group Ltd. last year mid-July. The price seemed like a reasonable deal for the size of apartment. However, from the get-go, the management of the suite was absent. The apartment was dirty when my roommate and I moved in. I have attached a picture of the oven when we first moved in. We spent hours cleaning the oven, the windows, the walls, the bathrooms and more. Towers gave us 50$ for the time and cleaning supplies for doing this which was by no means fair compensation. Later into the lease, some plumbing work was needed. Towers gave my contact info to the plumber so that I could arrange with them to come to the apartment. None of my previous apartments required I be present when contractors enter the suite. I asked for compensation considering I left work to let in the contractor and was denied. I called Residential Tenancies Branch and confirmed that it is Towers' responsibility to let in contractors. From this point on, I did not rearrange my schedule to let contractors into the suite because it is not the tenant's responsibility and I was not being credited on my rent for doing Tower's job. Further into the lease, because of the old plumbing in the suite, there was flooding in the bathrooms. I came home to very loud and large fans and dehumidifiers in both bathrooms, which were present for about 3 days. I assumed this was done by Monopoly Realty because when I reached out to Towers multiple times concerning the flooding, they had no idea about it and even though I requested to know what happened, I was never updated. Considering people were entering my suite without my knowledge, which Towers had previously used as the excuse to get me to let in the contractors, this was particularly frustrating. The noise during the first three days made it hard to sleep and the aftermath took about a month to be resolved. The bath/shower was not usable because the drain had to be unclogged. This was only resolved when my roommate and I submitted a complaint to the Residential Tenancies Branch. After the complaint, the clog was promptly resolved within 24 hours and took all of about 20 minutes. Finally, towards the end of the lease, the taps of the bath/shower that had previously been flooded, stopped turning off. The plumber who came had to turn it off and needed weeks to get the replacement piece so the bathroom wasn't usable for the final month of the lease. Considering the lack of management, my roommate and I moved out of the apartment after a single year. We didn't have access to the second bathroom for about 2 months of a 12 month lease, we were never offered any credit for the loss and management was absent and unhelpful during this time. TL;DR Towers Realty Group Ltd. had poor management, being unhelpful and uniformed about the suite and their responsibilities.

Expérience négative: I had a scheduled appointment with Matthew Lo at 1:30 PM today to view the apartments at Dury Manor, but he failed to show up. This lack of professionalism is extremely disappointing, especially considering that I took time off from work for the viewing. Moreover, my attempts to reach him through emails and phone calls went unanswered. Fortunately, the caretaker of the building was kind enough to provide a tour of the building but he couldn't show the actual units as it's not a part of his job responsibilities. This level of service is highly unacceptable!

Expérience négative: At first it seemed that everything was very good, but then problems began. The first occurred when my wife checked out of the apartment. I arrived at the office, signed the documents, provided my new account details and work certificate. After that, I was informed that my previously created account will continue to work without changes, and I will be able to continue making rent payments as before. But in fact, when I tried to log into my account on the relevant date to make a payment, it was blocked. Creating a new account also turned out to be impossible. This started going around in circles, I was offered to come to the company's office to solve this issue. In the office, the account manager insisted on setting up an automatic payment, which I declined. As I have heard more than once that in this case it is possible to withdraw funds for the same service several times. What is then explained to you as a system error... Later, the same manager offered me to activate automatic payment already in the email correspondence, during the activation of the new account, I refused again. To which I was given the answer "We will provide you a payment code and we will not have you use the portal." There were also offers to go to the office every month and pay there on the spot or bring a check for payment. After I entered the bank details that I had already brought to the office a few weeks before and confirmed my account. In the end, I was given the opportunity to use my account, but for some reason the payment took place in a different way, not like before. All this took about a week, with trips to the office, loss of working hours, time, nerves and money. Although when submitting an application for renting an apartment, everything was done online, signing a contract and providing documents, there were no inconveniences. Then a second problem arose. A month after the first payment in the new account, I made the second payment with the usual amount. But without suspecting anything, a week after the payment I found in the banking report a charge of 60 CAD with a note "Miscellaneous Payment Towers Realty Group Limited" What is characteristic, I did not give any authorization for this payment, and no one informed me about it! I saw this by accident when I was checking my bank account. By writing at once to all the e-mails of the company known to me. I received a reply that my behavior is unacceptable, and they will find out why the funds were written off... That is, the company withdrew funds from me, without my authorization, and did not even inform me, it is the same as if someone reached into my pocket and stole those funds from there. But my reaction to it is unacceptable, not their action! To date, 13 days have passed and no one from Towers Realty Group Limited has done anything to return the money they illegally took!

Expérience négative: I recently spoke to Sonal Bhatt Property Manager at Emerald Gardens 20 Morrow Ave Winnipeg. Acc to her, she received a complaint that i walk in my lobby of my apartment at night. Upon telling them that i have to walk to my kitchen to lobby and i have roomate who come late at night and sit in lobby for a while. She said It is a policy that you cannot walk in your lobby at night. Strange and the caretaker lied to the property manager that we threatened him . Renting was never so stressful and disgusting. They have a good name but they show no care for tenant. This was disturbing to go through

Expérience fantastique: I've been living at 555 River Avenue for a couple years and I'm very happy with the caretaker Anthony and the rest of the staff. The building is kept clean and any issues you may have are addressed quickly. They are also very friendly. It's been 3 years since i left the above review and i can confirm that it has not changed. A great place and glad that i had the pleasure to have Anthony as the caretaker. Sad to hear he is leaving after 25 years but wish them the best and they will be missed!

Expérience fantastique: I'm very impressed with the building caretaker's work. They were always professional and courteous, and they went above and beyond to keep the building clean and in good repair. They responded to requests in a timely manner, and their attention to detail was remarkable. The caretaker took pride in their work and it showed in the building's appearance. Every day, the floors and common areas were immaculate, and the maintenance was consistently top-notch. I hate to see them leave however I wish them luck in their future endeavour!!

Expérience fantastique: I’ve lived at 21 Mayfair for a few years and it is a great building to call home. It’s close to Osborne Village, Downtown and the Forks. Winter or summer, it’s a great location. Across the street there is a rink in winter and basketball/tennis courts in the summer. Close to the River skating trail too! The apartments are roomy with large bedrooms. Concrete construction means there is very little noise between suites. The building caretaker is great. Jim responds to issues professionally and promptly. He maintains the building so that it is clean and tidy, and makes sure we are all safe and secure in our homes. Thank you Jim for your hard work! This place is a gem!

Expérience négative: After trying to contact Towers for over two weeks—leaving a voicemail, reaching out via email and their website contact form with no response—I managed to get a hold of their main office. Receptionist didn't even know the building I was inquiring about existed and transferred me to the wrong person 3 times. Annoyed that I had to call back each time she started answering the phone and hanging up. Then she had someone else rudely answer the phone after a few tries asking "what I want", treating me like a nuisance. I am absolutely no longer interested in the building I was inquiring about after this farce. I will bring my business elsewhere.

Expérience négative: I cannot say I recommend searching for an apartment through this company. The original listing on their website was $1085, which seemed fair for the place. This was increased to $1165 because this was a slightly larger suite (~40 sq feet larger). This price was then increased again after we applied for it to $1245 with no additional reasons given. At this point we are threatened with losing our deposit or withdrawing our application. This sort of business practice does not seem ethical, especially when you consider we are dealing with housing. I had leased previously with Towers for two years and had no problems otherwise. The representative we e-mailed with back and forth was condescending and unprofessional, and did not seem to care about our experience. I hope this does not happen to you, but this was our reality.

Expérience fantastique: I lived at 555 River for 4 years and I loved every minute of it. Anthony and Evelyn were wonderful property mangers who made renting very easy and comfortable. They were always quick to answer text messages or calls, they were very efficient in having services come in when I needed my bathroom sink to be fixed, and were extremely helpful when I was in a dire situation having lost my keys - I really appreciated all they did for me during my stay there. Anthony even reached out to me and held my mail after I moved out for me to come pick up. That was very touching. I always felt safe and secure throughout my time there, and over the pandemic you could tell they cared about safety and the well being of others as well. If I wasn't growing my family I would still be living there! Highly recommend that building largely because of the amazing location and amenities, but also hugely in part of Anthony and Evelyn who made my stay excellent.

Expérience négative: We have been renting with this company for nearly 1 year. We have had 0 maintenance upkeep completed since. There was a fire in our building in July, repairs just got completed in late October. The lack of human decency and respect is disappointing and dissatisfying. Management sits back and ignores any complaints submitted. They have allowed Elsa Breen to bully and hurt multiple families through out there business with 0 remorse or concern. I beg any family considering this company, to turn around and run as fast as you can!

Expérience fantastique: 555 River Avenue is a wonderful place to live! Anthony and Evelynn are fantastic building managers who always responded quickly to anything we needed. For example, one Christmas Eve our kitchen sink was plugged and Anthony got a plumber in right away before we had to leave for our family gathering. At certain times of year, they would even deliver burgers or “555” cookies to our door. Anthony and Evelynn are trustworthy, responsive, and kind and go above and beyond for their tenants. Would highly recommend renting at 555 :)

Expérience négative: Sometimes I think about the way this realty group is treating people. My gf was living at Drury Manor for a year. Once they moved to this apartment, there was no renovation in the unit and given to them “As is” from the previous tenant. After a year that my gf moved out, they gave the unit right at the moving day to another tenant. Renovation seems meaningless in that building. Now the key point is that not only they charge the previous tenant for the damage to the unit, but also they deducted about $300 from my gf deposit. She even hadn’t signed the paper/report that what are the damages that you deducted this much amount of deposit? Their response after a long time was a list, like tightening the screws, tightening the toilet seat. It’s hilarious! In every building I’ve been so far from sussex realty or shelter Canadian, most of the maintenances like tightening are free! Before each tenant the unit is cleaned, carpet washed, but in Towers realty meaningless (at least for Drury Manor building). I was the witness who saw how much time my gf and her roommate spent on cleaning the floor, shampooing the carpets, and shining the kitchen. Good job Towers!!

Expérience positive: Besides being unable to park underground during winter because of renovations.. the stay was pleasant. Very walkable to corydon and Osborne. Anthony and Evelynn are great landlords as they answer promptly and give a decent heads up for any news on the building. Only major issue would be the random people on the street trying to sneak in. The building however has made it clear to not leave the door open for anyone when you enter. The cleaner is also a very sweet and helpful lady.

Expérience positive: Our condo building is recently transferred to Towers from another property management company. Tenants rely on the property manager to get the readings as we don't have access to it. Then the journey begins, I called Towers 3-4 times a day for 3 days, always got voicemail and never received a call back. The reception finally picked up the phone one day, I told her want to request for meter reading she said "you are the condo owner and it's your responsibility to get the meter readings." After I emphasized that tenants don't have access to the meters in this building, she literally told me "it's your problem then". I asked her name and requested to speak to her supervisor, she told me she is the receptionist and she doesn't have one. Then I asked her to transfer me to someone who can help me. She transferred me to Jennifer. Jen took down my info and Rebecca called me back within 30 mins and got the issue resolved (Thank you both!) I have friends either worked at Towers or having business with them. I heard positive things about this organization, but my experience with the receptionist really tarnished their image and reputation.

Expérience fantastique: Lived at 1000 Markham Road for a year and the care taker was so helpful! She’s the best I’ve seen. She makes sure everywhere is clean and gets your repairs done fast. If you have an emergency, she also helps out. Towers realty as a company was also good. Anytime I called the office for help, they helped me out. Would recommend living in their apartments.

Expérience fantastique: I was staying at 555 River for almost 4 years and loved this apartment and neighborhood. Anthony and Evelyn are great property managers, it is so easy to text them when needed and they would get things done quickly. They were very helpful while I was moving out too since I had to move out few days early and they accomodated my request. The way they took care of everything during the pandemic with safety measures and keeping the building clean and sanitized is commendable. They provided masks to everyone and also made burgers and cookies for the tenants when no one could go outside.

Expérience fantastique: Updated: After 6 years at 555 River, I moved out last week. Not because I didn't love the building or the area, but to pursue other opportunities. My 5-star review of Anthony & Evelyn (and the rest of the cleaning crew) absolutely stands. They are wonderful caretakers and always quick to respond. One couldn't ask for better, really. I wish, however, that I could rate them separately from Towers Realty. I'd give Towers a 2 or 3. Primarily because they raised the rent well passed the guidelines almost every year I was there. It's a horrible way to live, not knowing if that was the year I was going to be priced out. Also, if ever a fix was needed they would try to do it the cheapest way possible first. When that, inevitably, didn't work then they would actually fix the problem. I blame none of this on the caretakers. They do the absolute best they can and I can't say enough good things about them! I've lived at 555 River for over a year and Anthony & Evelynn are truly awesome caretakers. They are great with communicating with tenants and deal with questions or concerns quickly. Plus they're nice people!!

Expérience fantastique: I live at 660 Dakota street and I would like to give the Manager Jeremy a 5 star appreciation. Ever since he arrived things have been moving smother than ever, he is responsive, polite and gets things fixed in a timely manner and has a very friendly disposition. I recently had some health issues and he went above and beyond his duties to make sure that I was able to comfortably leave and come back to the building in a safe and secure manner. Jeremy is the man. Much appreciate. !!

Expérience négative: My friend had very bad experience with them.They entered in his apartment without his permission to do the plumbing work.Even though he did not make any complain about plumbing and everything was good in his apartment. They flooded the apartment during plumbing work and ruin everthing with sewage water. My friend had to throw all his things in garbage. But now they are not providing any help to my friend. So go there if you like to wash your clothes and other things with sewage water!!!!!

Unfortunately landlords are not responsible for the personal belongings of tenants within the property. Towers Realty Group offers tenants' insurance with all new leases and with lease renewals each year. Tenants are responsible for choosing whether or not to secure insurance to replace lost or damaged items resulting from occurrences beyond the landlord's control. Our records show you did not opt to sign up for tenant's insurance with your initial lease, nor did you choose to sign up with your last year's renewal.

Expérience négative: I rent a condo unit from an individual owner and Towers manages the building. Around Christmas, there was a problem with the heating in the building that went on for over a week. A letter was posted in the lobby that incorrectly stated heating in units was not affected. We had previously contacted the superintendent and she gave us the impression there may be a problem with our unit specifically but our neighbors reported the same problem. I called and left a voicemail for the person responsible for the building, Rebecca Ellis. I simply wanted information and to know if they would be able to resolve the issue soon as I was tired of being freezing in my own home in the dead of winter. I mentioned that communication seemed to be lacking. She called me back and immediately went on the defensive and said I should only be talking to my landlord. She claimed that they provided all information to the landlord. My landlord denies receiving any information. I even said I know they don’t have much control over repairs and parts. I just wanted reassurance the problem would be addressed soon. I barely had a chance to speak and this was one of the most useless and frustrating telephone interactions I’ve ever had. It doesn’t matter that I’m not the owner. This was completely unacceptable and ironically, shortly after the conversation the heating was fixed. It seems like she wasn’t even aware of what was going on, otherwise it would have been much easier to tell me that instead of being so rude. I hope this company will instruct its employees to be polite and treat tenants with decency.

Expérience positive: I lived at 555 River Ave from 2017-2020 and I would give the apartment building and its caretakers, Anthony and Evelynn, 4 stars. However, I would give the management and administration of Towers Realty Group 2 stars. It's a central location in Winnipeg close to transit, restaurants, the Forks and Safeway; fair price for the area; has just what you need such as ample storage, counter space, outdoor and underground parking (when not under construction), elevators. Anthony and Evelynn were caring and professional. All the residents occasionally got small gifts during the pandemic which helped build a sense of community. Living in a downtown location, I am totally understanding when I come across tenants experiencing mental health issues. Unfortunately, one tenant did bother me for a few months. In hindsight, I think they were just concerned for my safety because they kept hearing "screaming" from my apartment (even when no one was home). I believe Anthony was considerate and balanced both parties concerns and it was resolved in the end. Some positives about Towers management/administration: I really appreciated the free online yoga that was available during the pandemic. When I called the front desk, there was one person who I found very friendly and patient with me. Shawnda was responsive when I had the issue with another tenant mentioned above. I did not find her rude, just direct. I got my deposit returned to me in a timely manner (had to pay for some professional cleaning for things I that I didn't have the right tools and chemicals to clean myself). For some negatives: The manager before Shawnda made a mistake when calculating my rent and Anthony had to correct it before I signed the lease. There is one front desk person who I don't like talking to because more than once they faulted me for not telling them the right information to forward the call but I think it is their job to make sure they get the right information from me. Overall, I enjoyed living here. It was just a headache sometimes when dealing with the Towers office.

Expérience fantastique: This review is specifically for Virginia, the building manager at Birchgrove Manor. Virginia is a fantastic building manager. I lived at Birchgrove Manor for 3 years, and in that time Virginia was incredibly helpful. Any issue, like plumbing or AC she got taken care of right away. Anything you needed she was on top of, and was always kind and friendly. The building was always clean and well maintained. Couldn't have asked for a better building manager. 10/ 10

Expérience fantastique: I will be quite fair here- Living at The Birchgrove Manor location (1050-1060 Moncton Ave) Overall I am happy. I have live here since June of 2016, and do not have any plans to move elsewhere. Yes, the block does have its fair share of problems. That said rent here is very much so manageable. I like the fact heat and water are included in the rent. Virginia is an amazing caretaker. Going into year 6 next year- I see no reason to move elsewhere. Many tenants have come and gone since I moved in, however I am still here and enjoy Birchgrove Manor. So thank you management and on site staff alike, I know I can be difficult but that is because I care

Expérience négative: Take pictures of everything. They will charge you for completely made up stuff when you move out. *Edit, Reply to reply. There were no damages. Luckily I took pictures. You attempted to charge for professional carpet cleaning for anyone moving out, regardless of if there were damages. *The move out report showed no damages, stains or cleaning was necessary.* Having the carpet professionally cleaned was not something we agreed to in the lease agreement. This is not something required by RTB unless there are stains/damages. Your "proof" that you sent to RTB was a copy of the cleaning bill. Should I send you my dry cleaning receipts? How about my grocery bill? The fact that you decided to get the carpet cleaned after we moved out is irrelevant to what we're obligated to do.

Towers Realty Group takes pictures on move out and charges for damages which we can show in our claim to RTB. If you believe you were improperly charged for damages, please file a deposit or less claim with the Residential Tenancies Branch and they will determine whether the charges are justified or whether funds should be returned.

Expérience négative: I have never dealt with more unprofessional, disrespectful and rude people than when having to deal with Towers Realty Group leasing office. If you are contemplating renting from a Towers property turn the other direction and RUN. If you currently live in a Towers owned property, I HIGHLY advise making sure you are familiar with your rights as a tenant because they will go out of their way to scam you at every turn they can. Don’t be afraid or intimidated to fight back, do not let them walk all over you because I guarantee that they are likely 100% in the wrong every time. They scam people out of money left right and centre and make it impossible to get back what is rightfully yours. I cannot say enough awful things about this company, they are all scam artists and thieves and I do not understand how they are legally allowed to operate under such poor standards.

Expérience fantastique: I was tenant of waters edge properties for a few years. Landlords Bev and Fred were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Always got things fixed for us in a timely fashion. Towers was always good about helping me solve my questions or issues fairly quickly. Took a little longer to get my damage deposit back than other rentals, but I'm sure they're just very busy. Other than that no complaints here !

Expérience négative: Let’s see, where shall I begin? I was a resident of 555 River avenue in Osborne Village for just under 4 years. I’ll go over a few of the experiences I had: 1. On June 3rd 2021, two days after having lost my job due to Covid, I received a text that my “secure” storage locker located across the hall from me had been robbed. Two of my bikes, as well as various other items of lesser value were taken. I was notified of this break-in only AFTER the locker had been “secured” once more. To clarify, there are no security cameras. Anyone can get in if they have a key. And I quote “nothing could be done if someone broke in, even with a camera” says the resident manager Shawnda. I spoke to the resident manager on the phone about what they can do about it, and for lack of a better word, I would describe this woman as “soul-less”. She does not have a soul. I have never in my life dealt with a more monstrous woman. She insisted that the doors were secure and that there was simply “nothing they could do” to help me or anyone who may experience theft in the future. I begged for any kind of assistance or solution and I was told “Towers has adequate security”. 2. For a solid 8 months, ending in March 2021, I was next door neighbours with what seemed like was an undiagnosed schizophrenic woman who would scream bloody murder and run up and down the halls until sometimes 1:30 in the morning. Pounding on the walls, doorbells, demanding to enter other residents suites, and even after 3 calls to the police, it took Towers realty 8 months to evict this person. 3. My rent was raised $51 during a global pandemic. (No additional work was completed to justify this raise of rent) 4. They spend thousands of thousands on glass facades for the balconies however they don’t make an effort to clean them. 5. There is no handicapped accessibility devices in the whole building. The front door has the tiniest handle known to man due to “heightened security and to prevent break-ins” even though the building is constantly robbed. We know this because we have had our keys changed 3 times in my 4 years of living there. 6. I received less than 50% of my damage deposit back because I had failed to clean areas of my apartment that were otherwise unnoticeable to someone who was not an experienced cleaner. Which to me, defeats the whole purpose of a “damage” deposit, as nothing had been damaged. 7. The building is “non-smoking” however I was consistently avoiding my balcony because residents around me were smoking on their balconies. Chucking their cigarette butts on to the street below. I will never, ever recommend towers realty to anyone I know or care about. Please beware. Do not rent from towers realty.

When dealing with disruptive neighbours, or people violating our non smoking policy, we have to follow the procedures laid out by the Residential Tenancies Branch of the Province of Manitoba, and unfortunately these procedures take much longer then tenants living with these inconveniences would like. As regards your security deposit return, if you believe you were charged in error, you may contact the Residential Tenancies Branch and file what is called a deposit or less claim. If the RTB determines there was an over charge, you will be issued a refund immediately upon receipt of their order.

Expérience négative: I was living in 21 mayfair place. My lease ended at the end of the July since then I am trying to get my deposit back. After hundreds of calls they replied me that I am not able to receive deposit back ,even I needs to pay them $360 extra. They accounted around $1000for painting, cleaning and all but their was not any damage or anything wrong with painting. Now they tell me to go for residential tenants branch. Even during move out, caretaker told that no any spots left for elevator and we needs to use stairs from 8th floor which sounds like impractical. We talked to property manager but no solution so we moved out our furniture before 2days. Care taker also told that she is not available to last checking in our home. I don’t wants to give even 1star. Because in my busy schedule they are giving me more stress for my deposit and extra money. The main problem is they are telling me now after one month ….that I needs to pay. Definitely I am going for legal assistance for this issue.

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE SLUM LORDS upon moving into my suit there were holes in every door and closet the base boards are coming off the walls with nails sticking out, there is a hole in the flooring which has cut me on several occasions. all of this they promised to repair and did not! I have a 7 year old daughter in which this apartment is not safe for. I requested a one month early release from my lease because they had not fixed anything! they were rude and not accommodating. The building itself has water damage and is basically a tear down yet they are still renting suites. calling the RTB

Expérience négative: The caretaker and the person acting on behalf of the property manager are very toxic individuals, they are extremely disrespectful, unprofessional and none responsive. Furthermore, the caretaker is lazy, and takes weeks and in one case two years to put in a work order to fix my bedroom door. In other cases, she took three weeks to put in a work order to fix the door handle on the upstairs laundry room, and another three weeks to get rid of the urine smell from that same laundry room. Finally, there is black mould that has been in that same laundry room for over a month, and only part of it has been cleaned up, as well as the back parking lot has quite a few potholes that have been there for years and got worse over time. **I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone rent with Towers Realy Group.**

Expérience négative: The worst experience I have ever had in my life. When I did check in, the curtains in the living room were impaired and were not functioning. I asked the caretaker to fix that but every time she postponed that to the next day and so she never fixed that. At the second day I noticed that she also did not clean the carpets, they were sticky and dirty specially the corners. I asked the caretaker to clean that because it is their responsibility to give a clean apartment to tenant. After a month and calling her almost every day, she sent someone to clean the carpets. But she cleaned just the one in the living room!! I had to bring someone to clean the carpet in the bedroom and I paid from my pocket. During my stay there, every single time that an issue occurred it was me who should fix that because the caretaker was not responsible at all. The worst part was when I wanted to moveout. For the curtains that were impaired from beginning (and I showed the new caretaker that I asked the previous caretaker 100 times from the first day to fix that but she never did) they charged me for my whole deposit plus some extra!! Then they explained that there are two kinds of curtains: long one and the short one. They charged me for the long curtains while those in my living room was the short one. I also explained to them that the curtains was impaired from the beginning and still the curtains in my living room were the short one while you are charging for the long curtains but the response I received from them was like threatening me. finally I decided to pay whatever they say just to get rid of this headache. Long story short, the summary of my experience is this: I did not find them responsible and professional in dealing with the tenants. So I would never ever rent apartment from Towers Reality.
