Negative experience: They had to come check for water leaks today. When the property manager came into the apartment he said, "you need to clean your apartment." As I was in the middle of cleaning it. There were kids toys around as my kids were playing in that moment & some blankets in the bathroom as I was getting ready to do laundry. This is not the first time ive had problems with these guys. At least my apartment isnt littered in bugs, they also let certain people pay month to month while others have to sign a 6 month lease or a 1 year lease. Will not be staying much longer.

Fantastic experience: Georgina is a superstar property manager. She is reliable, helpful and always on time for viewings. This has been so helpful for me as a housing worker, I cannot sing her praises enough. Main street has affordable rentals that I highly recommend.

Negative experience: Worst worst worst company that i have encountered ever before with renting things… forcing me to pay the two month extra rent fees even already spoken with one of them employees and even they are not even able to believe their own employees words what ever they told and just charging me two months rent fees even I already paid my lease breakage and also they customer service hung up the call while doing the complain. Every one is talking so rudely. No sense how to talk to the clients. Worst experience ever.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank everyone who is working in Mainstreet south end Regina. Even these buildings are old, the team are very welcome to newcomers and help them to find their first home in the city. I am renting here apartment for 2 years. Never had any bad experiences with the management team, starting with Georgina who helped me first, and continuing with current manager Jose. His professional approach to work, friendly communication and understanding is always have been a benefit! Give this place 5 stars is obvious for the current price of apartments. Not the cheapest, but reliable and affordable. Close to schools and shops! Lots of bus stops, restaurants and clinics around!

Fantastic experience: Great team with mainstreet always been a delight how they've treated me while living here, lived with them 7ish years ago and now finally back with them, I wanna give a huge ty for everything my manager "jose" has done he's one of the hardest and nicest staff members I've dealt with, with all his hard work I've notice as long as he keeps up the great work he should get a promotion. Im glad to be back with mainstreet Updated 6 months later. vvv To all residents current and new please stop blaming mainstreet for issues regarding the washers and dryers, those machines are not owned by mainstreet, they are property of coinmatic, if the machines aren't getting fixed asap it's not mainstreets fault there not being lazy it's only coinmatics fault for not fixing the machines, so please stop requesting mainstreet to fix the washers and dryers. Call coinmatic wait for coinmatic to fix the issue stop leaving bad reviews to mainstreet for them not fixing the machines, last time call coinmatic get them to fix the machine or go without clean Landry

Fantastic experience: Recently moved into one of their apartments. Very nice environment and clean common areas. The apartment is super clean and well maintained. It was a very smooth transition and would highly recommend. A big thanks to my landlord, Jose Reyes, who is very responsive and responsible, always there to help and assist.

Negative experience: Worst management takes literally weeks to months for even such an important request to get done. Building manager is always unreachable and unresponsive. Office is not helpful either they just say the same things over and over and no results no actions taken. So disappointing and unreliable.

Negative experience: Worst rental experience ever Living here has been an absolute nightmare. Our downstairs neighbor pokes the ceiling with a stick all night whenever we walk to the washroom or leave the apartment — it’s pure harassment. Instead of addressing the issue, Mainstreet Management gave us a warning notice. Zero accountability, zero concern for tenants’ comfort or safety. The walls are paper-thin, management is unresponsive, and the overall living environment is hostile. If you value your peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs.

Negative experience: I came to see how their 1BHK apartments looks like. I talked to their colleague Georgina and she did not talked properly with me . Very baad customer service . She was kind of racist , I was a customer but still she don’t know how to talk to me. I never seen such a person before , it was my first scenario.

Fantastic experience: In Main Street in south branch who’s name is Jose is very polite, every time he gives proper reply good response, genuine person , even he always receive a phone call he’s work is so perfect from more than 14 months I’m in Mainstreet as a rental I appreciate Jose work and response he is so honest man he is Awsome guy thanks to Mainstreet n specially thankful to Jose I like to give him 7 star ✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️

Negative experience: Totally waste of money

Negative experience: Disappointing service. Horrible communication. Been in on and off contact with someone for 2 weeks trying to figure out what’s actually available to rent, as their website does not reflect what’s actually available. Man on the phone seems to have no real idea of what’s going on or what’s available. Maybe he’s just lazy and/or doesn’t care. Either way, they must not want to rent out their units that bad if they’re continuously giving me the run around and ghosting me via text. Unfortunate for them as I would have made an excellent tenant for them. What’s the point in having “leasing agents” to help find you your next home if they don’t actually intend on helping you in the slightest.

Negative experience: Worst , pathetic services of laundry in the buildings. No service of laundry is available. Even if complained , no one is listening to repair the washing machine. Only 1 machine working in 40 apartment and that too people from other building coming to wash clothes for 1 machine that is working. The staff is really laid back and just increasing rent but no service provided.

Negative experience: 2 bed 1 bath paying 1461$ + $250 (electric bill Caz using heater to keep kids warm).. they don’t care -11 .. cockroaches everywhere … Anyways this kind of unit should be more than 900$ or 1000$

The layout are good, making it feel like home right away. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to public transportation, shopping, and parks. The management team is professional and always quick to address any concerns or maintenance requests. Plus, the building amenities are fantastic, making everyday living convenient and enjoyable. I highly recommend Mainstreet Regina for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free living experience.

Fantastic experience: Hi just so you all know Mainstreet isn't just here for the money they care and love there tentents. I personally mest up a few times and they forgave me. They have shown and taught me how to be a good tenant. I am so lucky to still be where I am today because of the grace and love they have shown me and taught me. I had a hard past and Autistic and a hard 3 years. They have opened to me to help be a light. Also they do regular up keep on mainance and cleaning and has always tried what they can to make there buildings in tiptop shape. In all if anything goes south it's on me and not Mainstreet. Mainstreet is the best company I have seen they don't just care for the money. But they want to see you grow and mature and make you feel safe. I give Mainstreet over an 10 out of 10 many times.

Negative experience: Jose and the other management people here are extremely disappointing. Despite heavy snow pilling up around the building, nothing has been done to clear it, making it dangerous and inconvenient for residents. On top of that apartments are in poor condition, with crack in and gaps in the flooring that seem to be completely ignored. The lack of care and responsiveness from the management is unacceptable. Stupid excuses every time and irrelevant rent hikes every year for this kind of services is not worth it.

Positive experience: Ziyu was my building manager before I recently moved out. He always look out for our comfort. Whenever I call to report any issue, it gets fixed as soon as possible.

Negative experience: Try not to rent their units. Mainstreet's apartments especially the ones in South Regina are horribly plagued by cockroaches. They do the pest control but ineffective.

Positive experience: It was my vary first apartment and we had a great landlord, this was a few years back

Negative experience: We have been looking to rent a property in Saskatoon. I called the switchboard, they took my information and said someone would call me - no one ever did. I have called every single phone number available, sent emails, sent contact requests on websites and I have received nothing back. Their communication is non existent. Their service so far is terrible and we don't even have a property from them. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to actually rent from them. It's possible that this review may get a response but I am not holding my breath.

Positive experience: Enita is my building manager. She is wonderful. Anytime I need anything it is always fast. For example, today I called to have the faucet replaced for my bathtub. Was done within a few hours! Also, the maintenance people are terrific. Rent is too high but not sure what I can do about that.

Negative experience: Please don't rent with them for your peace of mind. Their buildings are too old to live in with roaches and bugs. The maintenance is pathetic. Common area carpets are too old and have never been cleaned properly. The grass in the front yard is never taken care of and is always muddy. Most importantly, their washers are always so dirty with lint that it's better not to wash your clothes. Even after that, they stop working every other day. One of their buildings has had the washer down for more than 2 months recently, and they always gave the lame reply that they don't have the spare part, which was only repaired after making the complaint to consumer court. Can you imagine that? Look for their audacity; they increased the rates to use the washer and dryer after that. On top of that, they increase the rents by $200+ every year on yearly contracts, even if you have been with them for many years. Why should one not look for Avenue Living, which is priced much lower, or boardwalks that are professionally maintained, comparably newer buildings at the same rates? Mainstreet guys will always deny this, but this is a reality. This is the review for Regina. Hope that help

Negative experience: This place is getting worst day by day. Okay hear me out. I need a place to rent for December starting. So me like any other regular person started looking house 2 months prior. So I got a hold of one of their Property Manager “Simran”. First time this guy sets an showing for a place on his day off and obviously doesn’t show up. Okay generous mistake, right? No, 2nd time, the house gets sold out even though, I had booked the viewing. And 3rd and 4th time, he just doesn’t show up. So I called their office to complain and they are like, “I’ll ask him to call you”. But it’s been 3 weeks, I haven’t received any calls. So this people just sucks. So today is November end and I don’t have a place because I relied on some goofs. Please stop yourself from doing mistakes. Please prefer Boardwalk or Avenue Living, or any company who doesn’t have goofs working there.

Negative experience: Mainstreet is mostly a scam. It is months that have waiting for my deposit (the place was really clean). I try to contact building manager and they always said that they will send it. They never do. They lie about your rights (they have to send the deposit less than a week not a month like they said). Please take any other place than Mainstreet. EDIT AFTER THE OWNER RESPONSE: Mainstreet just tell me to send a email. I send one weeks ago (after they post this response) but they never answer back. It is typical behavior from Mainstreet. No one seem to call you back or answer if there's a problem ( for example, their customer service say they will call you back within 24 hours but they don't). There's a tons of other problem like broken washer and drier for weeks, painting over doors that you can no longer open, fire alarm that falsely goes off in the middle of the night. This place is a nightmare to deal with.

Negative experience: terrible management. our ceiling started leaking saturday night and progressively got worse. in call with their emergency maintenance line i was informed that the maintenance worker deemed it a non-emergency and that we would have to catch the water ourselves and someone would come in the morning. nobody did. now it’s monday and we’ve been given the run-around on who to contact for answers, on who the maintenance worker was, on the matter of an insurance claim. it’s terrible and i’m tired and i wholly recommend you do not rent from this agency. completely useless.

Negative experience: Quality of management at this building on a scale of 0 - 10 i would say is a 0. Nothing gets fixed and when it does its like pulling teath because of the lack of communication on the landloards part. I have been with half electricity for 6 days now. This is ridiculous

Negative experience: I have submitted maintenance request to fix my shower head for more than couple months and the fridge light blown off repair requested logged a month ago. It is very disappointing to say that no one appears to fix these issues.

So I would like to recommend others that if they are looking to rent the apartment just have a conversation with them, they will guide you the best.

Positive experience: We were greeted by Simran, and he showed us a few properties that we liked because of the space offered and the location of the same. Nice options.

Negative experience: Master scam artists working at this company. All working together under the same roof with one objective. Scamming good hardworking people. Plumbing here sucks, kitchen sink leaked all the time, and there ac units don't work whatsoever (super hot in the summertime). Overpriced units, and terrible management. I would rather live in my car than get an apartment with these scammers

Negative experience: Bad service at all no maintenance. Don’t prefer mainstreet as there head office also drop the call if they don’t have answer so rude.

Negative experience: The admin team doing a really bad job in Regina, called them about the broken washing machine in 4100 Retallack, and they say they are not responsible for the washer and dryer, the coinmatic company is the one responsible for that. i have been calling coinmatic almost 50 times in the last 12 months, every time they say it will be fixed in 7 days, and it has been 18 months since the machine broke. imagine 32 families with one washer for almost 1 and a half years. shame on you Mainstreet!

Negative experience: Worst management ever we lived in a apartment for 3 years and and at the end we cleaned the apartment and everything they said still they are demanding more than the security deposit as they say there should be no wear and tear in three years and it should look completely new. Now want us to pay for paint and the new manager don’t even know how to deal with clients he is the most arrogant person I have seen.

Fantastic experience: I’ve lived at one of their apartments for one year and I’ve had no issues with the apartment and my unit. Very affordable for what I needed. Everything but power is included, which was really easy. The unit was clean when I moved in, and I left with it looking the exact same way. No issues with pests or bugs. Never had issues with management and they are very easy to deal with. I had an issue with the toilet and they replaced it the next day. I had a leak in the sink, they changed it the next day. The apartment is in a quiet and safe neighbourhood and everybody in the apartment was nice. I would recommend these apartments to anyone because my experience with Mainstreet was nothing but excellent. Reason for moving; I’m moving out of province. Thank you Mainstreet!

Positive experience: My experience here was mixed. There are ongoing pest issues, but Ziyu was great to deal with. He was always polite and attentive to any maintenance needs, and was kind enough to write me a reference letter. Give that guy a raise.

Negative experience: Awful apartment with poor and inefficient management and horrible maintenance service. Our apartment is cold, and I have followed up many times. Nothing is done to improve the situation. Even one night, the heating system did not work at all, and they did not answer any phone—even the building's emergency phone number. The washing machine in our building has not been working for more than one month. They don't do anything to fix it. It is possible to replace the washing machine, but the resident manager does not send the request to Coinmatic. The snow removal of the parking lots and sidewalks around the building has been done the worst way. The customer service, building maintenance staff, and resident manager are very rude and irresponsible. Even if you become homeless, do not rent an apartment from Mainstreet.

Negative experience: Buildings are in bad shape from foundations , to plumbing , leaks in pipes that are just wrapped and clamped, never fixed properly. Boilers that don't function properly, cockroaches a big problem, I feel sorry for the tenants. Electrical work done by unqualified people. Entrance doors that don't open or close properly, locks that don't work.i could go on and on about the problems.

Negative experience: They are very irresponsible . The washing machine is broken for long time but after several complaints they don’t fix it or take any action. This is so frustrating .

Negative experience: Wouldn’t prefer to live with bugs and cockroaches!! All appliances weren’t even cleaned even though they said the whole unit is “DEEP CLEANED”!! Even refused to change some appliances which were occupied by cockroaches. Worst experience ever, would recommend to check with other rentals first. Thanks

Negative experience: The entire add was a lie. They don’t even offer a discount to first responders. The price was also a lie. They do not clean the dead bugs off the floors before showing them to you. More disappointed with the false claims on the add then anything. Might be lower on my choice list because of this. I hope they rewrite the advertisements soon!!

Negative experience: I have lived in one of these buildings for just about a year and have had cockroach infestations on and off for the entire time. I have lived and rented in Regina for about a decade and have never had this issue anywhere else. The problem is clearly with the entire building and not just my apartment, since I know for a fact my neighbours have also had to be treated for cockroaches. But they only ever treat individual apartments, never the entire building, so the infestation keeps coming back. Property manager is very unhelpful with this issue and as far as I can tell has never even attempted to find a long-term solution. I am typically cockroach-free for about 3-4 weeks at a time, then infested for 2-3 weeks while treatment is arranged and sent out, and that cycle just keeps going around month after month. It is very frustrating and has given me a great deal of anxiety, and if I hadn't signed a lease I absolutely would not still be living here. Edit: Mainstreet has now responded to my review below, essentially saying that they do take this seriously and treat all units. All I can say to that is that if what I've been seeing so far is Mainstreet taking this problem seriously, they are bad at problem solving AND pest control. This issue is still ongoing and is in no way resolved, nor has any effort been made to make up for the poor handling of this problem.

We were told that they were going to renovate the apartment and ask for 3 days and this what they did nothing, no cleaning at all, hairs in bathroom sink and broken vents, moreover when i told resident manager about changing kitchen sink and chimney he told me this things doesn’t matter and what we have to do with these things. We paid $1195 and this is what we get. Liars!!

We rented apartment more than 5 years. They took our stuff without any written notice and the big problem is smoking . People smoke inside the building and it smells very bad.we complain a lot but they didn't slove the problem so with children it is worse place to live.

Negative experience: Worst Management ever. I have lived 1 year in Regina with Mainstreet and they straight up took my stuff away sometimes without any written notice and harassed my family for months without reason. No notices for power or water shut off. Please stay away from this group.

Negative experience: In the winter of 2021/2022 with the massive amount of snow this company refuses to have the parking lot cleared. They have not cleared it once this winter and they do not shovel the sidewalk either. After complaining they agreed to shovel the sidewalk. I don’t understand how a company can care so little for their tenants. It’s truly sad how bad of a company they are.

Fantastic experience: Within 2 days I am moving onto my new home. It's so close to my son's school, shopping, dr, bus, dollar store lol. Deborah worked hard to get me in here. She was kind, friendly, good sense of humour. Ziyu was a big help to me getting the final details in place...my keys on a early morning Saturday. Thank you Main Street for a professional place that offers affordable pet rent, insurance, parking space in one price. I'm going to be saving some money finally!!!! Thank u from my <3

Negative experience: My daughters first day in a dump of an apartment like this and already has to tell a neighbour to close her door because of her overpowering curry use to the point my daughter's eyes were watering and burning. Other neighbours had to tell her to cut it out. Then my daughter comes home to find 2 cockroaches in her bathroom. This is only day one, and these photos of the place say that until it's fixed she's going to keep getting bugs in her home. ‍♀️ Do better.

Fantastic experience: I've been with Mainsteet for 1.5 years. It provides excellent value for money. Their maintenance and other services are quite professional and prompt, which occurs when the resident manager does his duties professionally. Mr. Toufiq Anam is performing excellently in his function. Gentlemen like him make life easier for the people he deals with. My current lease will expire in a month, and I intend to renew it for another year. Thank you, Mainstreet and Mr. Toufiq Anam, for offering me a home away from my home.

Negative experience: I’m in 3525B Avonhurst Dr building, currently managing by mainstreet equity( it was boardwalk before). They are not doing any proper inspections/checks for the heater, electrical wiring, etc. The lights on the hallway, laundry room and outside lights around the building are not working more than two months. I informed the building manager, Caretaker and the cleaner about the issues couple of times but they didn’t do anything. Still there is no light in this building(3525B). It will not be a good idea to rent with mainstreet equity.

Negative experience: I’d rather go homeless than live in another mainstreet apartment again, the worst rental experience in my life by far, asked for repairs for years and received nothing, was harassed with monthly inspections for almost a full year and when I moved out they lied and tried to claim they have never been in my apartment before. Never give a cent to these scammers
