Expérience négative: Could not request maintenance without giving staff permission to enter your unit at any time without you even there (super illegal and they have since been forced to change it despite arguing with me why it’s okay). Other tenants constantly smoke weed and cigarettes inside their units and management keeps renewing their leases to reach occupancy quotas. Construction noise is relentless banging through the concrete for the past 2 months and is expected to continue for a serious amount of time as they are behind schedule (starts at 7 am everyday except Saturday). Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else. Unity place, geo, and hive are all the same company terribly run and only focused on profit
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
At Unity, we take all resident concerns seriously and are committed to thoroughly investigating every complaint. We also operate in accordance with Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), and respecting our residents' rights is a fundamental part of how we manage our communities. If concerns are ever raised regarding our processes, we review them carefully and make updates where appropriate to ensure we remain compliant with all applicable legislation.
We also investigate reports of lease violations, including concerns about smoking, in accordance with the evidence available and the requirements of the RTA.
We understand how disruptive construction noise can be. The work occurring along Princess Street is part of the City's watermain infrastructure project and is not related to our building or operations. While we recognize that this has been frustrating for residents, the project schedule and working hours are determined by the City and its contractors and, unfortunately, are outside our control.
We appreciate all feedback as it helps us continue to improve. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, we encourage you to contact our management team directly so we can better understand your experience.

Expérience négative: Not good. Any time I go to ask the front desk for updates on anything they never have any information. If you are staffing the front desk, make sure they can actually provide information. For important things like when alarm testing will be taking place it is important to provide times so people can adjust their schedules.
Good day, Sydney.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your recent experience here at Unity.
We're sorry to hear your recent interaction with our team member regarding the alarm testing and repairs was less than satisfactory. While we understand wanting specific times, unfortunately, we are unable to provide specific windows as the testing will be taking place throughout the day. As with all testing and repairs of this nature, it does take some time.
If you would like to discuss further, please do not hesitate to reach out or visit us at the leasing office.
Thank you again, and have a great day.

Expérience positive: I personally had a pretty good experience. It's a nice place to live. The staff is incredible!! Sheenam is the best, sooo helpful and friendly! It's overall a good place and the high rent does reflect amenities, in-unit laundry, and some utilities being included. *edit: I'd like to add something I forgot to, the sound-proofing is genuinely so good. I can't hear my neighbours from my apt (even when you can hear them in the hallway) and the windows bring in very little noise from outside when fully closed! HOWEVER, there are some concerns which are not very reasonable given the extremely high rent, regardless of whether it's market value or not: - The most concerning thing here is the frequent fire alarm testing, where people are unsure if it's real or a system test. *edit: I should clarify, they definitely do send out some emails, but the testing occurs more frequently/ on different days than the emails. It has NOT been an issue this year, however. It's possible that a resident or visitor pulls the alarm, and that it's only turned off when its investigated, unclear. - System can only support AC or heating at a time apparently, so for some of the warm months, there's no AC. It's honestly pretty uncomfortable, and I'm sure it would be much worse if your apartment/room faces the sun most of the day. - Blinds let a lot of light in (windows are huge, which is gorgeous but blinds should be better). If you need the dark to sleep and you face Princess, it might be hard for you. - This isn't the management team's fault (I think it's company practice) but it's unfortunate given the high rent: you can't choose where to rent in the building. You pick an apartment style and either the lower half or upper half of the building (this affects the rent you pay). You can provide other preferences but you get assigned a room/apartment by the management team. I know other companies do this but it's not great for the high rent you pay. - AC broke down for a long time in the summer and it was hell. I know these things happen but, again, it's not reasonable given the extremely high rent. It did only happen once but the amount of time it took to fix was horrible. Other: - People mention that staff enters the apartment a lot - this happened to me a lot last year but I would always get notified via email. The wide range of possible entry time they give is certainly annoying but most companies do this. The issue last year was the fact that staff would come in for one thing each time instead of getting most things altogether - this could have been done better. This year was fine! - Some of the other stuff that people mentioned in reviews: some stuff like fire alarm during exam season, water pipe bursting - not the management team's fault, just unlucky circumstances. The fire alarm thing sucked but the firefighters apparently didn't know how to turn it off. Perhaps better communication from the management team was warranted here but I don't know. Water pipe thing was a city issue.
Good day, Shanzay. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review of your experience to date. We love to hear about your positive interactions with staff, especially Sheenam; she really is the best! We also want to take a moment to thank you for providing feedback on building operations, as we continuously work to improve the resident experience. While there are times when things occur outside of management's control, we are constantly working to mitigate and minimize them as they arise. For example, Fire Alarm testing at the building is performed on a quarterly basis, and we will always provide advanced notice to the residents prior to testing. If any alarms occur outside of these windows, they should be treated as emergencies. We would love to have you visit us to chat further. Please don't hesitate to reach out. Have a wonderful day, Your Team at Unity
Expérience fantastique: Sheenam is an absolute gem at the front desk! She always has a warm smile and a kind word, making every day a little brighter. She’s incredibly helpful with any questions, and her professionalism and friendliness make her fantastic at what she does. Highly recommend!
Good day, Yumna.
We here at Unity are so pleased to hear you think of Sheenam as the bright little gem we also see her as. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, we appreciate it, as we know she also does.
Have a wonderful day!

Expérience positive: Review of Unity Point (Unit 913, Jan–Nov 2025) I lived in Unit 913 for almost a year. This review is specific to my unit and reflects my personal experience—others' experiences may wildly differ. ⸻ The Good 1. Great staff. Everyone I personally interacted with was friendly and helpful. 2. New(ish) building. Common areas, hallways, and the lobby were all clean and well maintained. 3. Smooth move-in. The unit was reasonably clean on arrival. 4. Responsive maintenance. They promptly replaced a dead microwave and fixed the shower’s low water pressure. 5. Safe building. Key access is required for the lobby and elevators. 6. Surprisingly quiet. Despite being a student-heavy building, noise was never an issue. 7. Utilities included. Only electricity is extra; internet is fast and reliable. 8. The apartment is fully furnished. 9. Good location —groceries, restaurants, walk-in clinic, and Queen University's KGH/HDH are all within walking distance. ⸻ The Bad 1. Misleading information about AC. Although the unit was advertised as air-conditioned, only one bedroom had real AC. The second bedroom had no connection whatsoever to the AC duct—just a fan that pulls air from the kitchen. This felt dishonest to me. 2. Southwest exposure + massive windows + active heating = extreme heat. With giant wall sized windows, the unit turned into a heat trapping greenhouse. I regularly saw 30°C+ indoors for a substantial part of the year —even with the blinds down. No matter what the temp outside was, I got extreme heat readings in March & April and even in October! If it's sunny outside and the AC is off, it's HOT. The only exception was the period when the AC was actually on. 3. AC is not available until mid-June. If you are an international resident, please know AC is a seasonal luxury here. Don't assume just because they advertise air conditioned units that that means you will have on demand AC like we do in our countries. Again, this could've been communicated more clearly on listings. I found it odd that they never mentioned that. It's like saying yeah the apartment has a dishwasher but you can only use it in April! Since I was being cooked alive on sunny days for most of the year, I reached out to them on numerous occasions and they explained that it's due to some archaic laws about being forced to keep the heater on until literally mid June. I found that justification to be unconvincing. They could've taken a number of measures to relieve the extreme heat in some of the west facing units. They could've lowered the heat settings on sunny days. They could've installed proper insulation and blackout blinds on those giant windows to help mitigate the poor thermal design of the units. Regardless of the reason, living in 30°C+ for months was miserable. If you’re heat-sensitive, avoid west-facing units entirely. 4. No blackout blinds. Given the enormous size of the windows, the apartment lights up like a Christmas tree by 6 AM. 5. Second bedroom is not a real bedroom. It had no real windows, no ventilation, no AC, and no blackout option to cover the annoying irregular L shaped subsection of the wall they made to allow sunlight in. It’s basically a storage room and should not be advertised as a functional bedroom. ⸻ Overall My 3-star rating is based entirely on the thermal discomfort I endured for a substantial portion of my stay. I was thermally uncomfortable for many days of the year. I think when you pay thousands of dollars for rent to live in a place, you're more than entitled to be comfortable. I wasn't comfortable here and I feel compelled to share my personal experience. Again, this has been my experience. It's entirely possible there are people who view a 30 degree indoor temp as perfectly fine. It wasn't fine for me. It was intolerable and cruel and I absolutely hated it. It was borderline traumatic for me. I come from a country that is super hot but we have AC where I come from and we have it on demand. I can't believe I had to come to Canada to be hot! Good luck.
Good day, Rayan.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are pleased to hear about the aspects of living at Unity that you enjoyed. However, we are disheartened to learn that certain features of your unit did not meet your expectations.
Please know that we take your concerns regarding the A/C setup, the absence of blackout curtains, and the specifics of your unit style very seriously. Your feedback is invaluable and will help us enhance the experience we provide for all our tenants.
If you would like to discuss your review further or address any other concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you, and have a great day!

Expérience négative: Here are real things that happened while living at Unity Point. Do what you will with it: - 3:45am fire alarm with full building evac during EXAM SEASON (there was no fire) - have fun dealing with the building people needing to enter your unit for the most pointless reasons every few weeks. (And they’ll make sure to show up bright and early every time while you’re still in bed) - (I can’t blame this on the building without proof) but during HOCO and St Patty’s lets just say close your blinds or you might have a peeping tom drone looking at your apartment for parties - pee and poo in elevators on NUMEROUS occasions - got trapped in the elevator multiple times, same with my roommate - if this wasn’t all great enough, enjoy being genuinely judged by anybody when you mention you live in this building. Do not give this company your money under any circumstance. This place is the biggest money grabbing scam ever. I’m moving out in a few weeks and will never tell anyone to live here. But hey…. Did you see they renovated the gym (UNITY POINT IF YOU ARE READING THIS I WILL REWRITE MY REVIEWS AND INCLUDE EVEN MORE DETAIL IF YOU DELETE THIS AGAIN
Good day Ben,
Thank you for leaving a review and sharing your concerns with us. We would like first to invite you to stop in anytime to discuss your concerns with us in person at either Unity Office, or to reach out to us via phone or email at 343-688-1300 or [email protected]. The fire alarm was triggered last night, and while the timing for a fire alarm is never convenient, it is there as a life-safety measure for the residents of the property whenever smoke is detected.
Please stop in and see us, as we are continuously working to improve the resident experience at Unity and can discuss this in more detail.
Kindest regards,
Your Unity Management Team
Expérience fantastique: A wonderful place I call home, especially for students! I've been living at Unity Point for over two years now, and while no place is perfect, I can honestly say this building stands out because of its incredible team. Like any residence, there have been occasional issues, but what truly makes the difference here is how professionally and promptly the staff handle everything. When I first moved in, my fridge wasn’t working, and my food spoiled. I was stressed, but the team acted quickly, they replaced the fridge and even compensated me for the food that went bad. That level of care and responsiveness really impressed me. The building is always clean, and the staff are genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make this place feel like home, organizing fun events and maintaining a positive atmosphere. It’s clear they care about the residents. Maintenance is another highlight; every time I’ve submitted a work order, the issue has been resolved within 24 hours. That kind of efficiency is rare and deeply appreciated. If you're a student, I highly recommend this place. It’s a student-friendly building with a team that truly understands how to support its residents. I can’t thank the staff enough for making this such a great place to live!
Good day, Fatema. We are pleased to hear that you have had a wonderful experience with us to date and have shared your review with the team (to everyone's delight!) At Unity, we strive to give you, our tenants, the best experience possible and are pleased to know we have achieved that.
Thank you again for your review. You know where to find us for a chat!

Expérience négative: Paying 1.6k for the ac to be turned off by unity is crazy
Good day Abraham,
Thank you for your review and feedback, and while we empathize with your concerns regarding the A/C, we’d like to take a few minutes to address your concerns. Every year, we must switch the building between heating and cooling modes due to both Kingston by-laws and the way the HVAC system operates to provide heating and cooling to the residents.
If you’d like to discuss this with us, please don’t hesitate to reach out or stop by the office. We’d love to hear from you!
Thank you again, and have a wonderful day!

Expérience fantastique: I had a truly fantastic experience renewing my lease at Unity Point, thanks in large part to Sheenam, one of their excellent Leasing Consultants. As a young professional who initially struggled to find a suitable unit in Kingston, especially one close to Queen's University, Sheenam was a lifesaver. She was incredibly kind and considerate throughout the entire process, taking the time to understand my specific needs and helping me find the perfect unit for my renewal. Her dedication made everything so smooth, and it's clear that the team at Unity Point genuinely cares about their residents. If you're looking for a place with wonderful staff who go the extra mile, I highly recommend Unity Point!
Good day, Badee. Thank you for your wonderful review and your shout-out to Sheenam. She is truly remarkable, and we're pleased to hear about her dedication during your leasing process. We here at Unity are dedicated to ensuring a sense of community is felt by all, and we love to see it in action.
Thanks again for your review, and we hope you have a great day!

Expérience fantastique: I have friends who live in Unity and the place is incredible! When I decided to move there I needed some help with the application. Expérience négative: Management here have questionable practices. EG lease agreement includes AC but they only turn it on when forced by city by laws. Which is in default of leasing agreement…. If you do decide to stay here just be aware of strange practices. Management comes to “check the heating” a few months ago and they use it as an excuse to go through your fridge and invade privacy. FYI the ceilings aren’t even done… when asked I was told it’s a “industrial finish”. I can litterally see where labors marked electricity and water line…
Good day, Robert. We're sorry to hear you're not satisfied with the unit. As you mentioned, the City of Kingston bylaw states that the A/C, if provided by the landlord, needs to be turned on June 1. We understand that right now, with the weather swinging between warm and cool, it can cause some issues with the temperature in the unit. If assistance is required, you're more than welcome to reach out so maintenance can assist you.
The 'check the heating' that took place a few months ago was for our quarterly unit inspections. With how our heating and cooling system is set up, we need to come in periodically to change the filters to ensure the air can make it out of the unit and not be clogged up by dust. As for the fridge, it was to collect serial numbers and ensure the refrigerator was working correctly. We're sorry that you felt it was an invasion of privacy while doing so.
When it comes to the industrial look, it's not to everyone's taste, and we're fully aware of that. That said, the labour and water marks you mentioned were unfortunately marked down by the contractors when it was being built. Between residents, we always do our best to remove them, but given what was used, it can take some time.
If you would like to discuss things further, do not hesitate to contact us. We're more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you, and have a nice day.

Expérience fantastique: I had a wonderful experience living at UnityPoint in Kingston. The building itself is well-maintained, and the location is incredibly convenient. What made my stay even better was the exceptional service provided by Sheeman. She was always responsive, professional, and went out of her way to ensure everything was taken care of. It's rare to find such dedicated and friendly service, and it truly made my time at UnityPoint a great one.

Expérience fantastique: Been living here for more than a year and since the time the management transitioned, many improvements have been made. Shout out to Nat, one of their coordinators who helped me out with my mail keys while transferring to another unit. I just wanna say that all coordinators here are friendly and approachable and is very helpful if you have any concerns with your stay. Kudos to all UniTeam.
Good day, Mar Vincent. Thank you for your review. We love hearing that your experience with us has been great and especially love your special shout out to Nat! She really is great, as our all our staff.

Thanks again for your review, and we hope you have a great day,

Expérience négative: Avoid this place!!! Would give no star if I could. Theres always an issue and constantly no hot water. Their solution with this is to let the water run for sometime until you get hot water. Had the water one for over an hour yesterday and had to shower with cold water. And again, been running the water for over an hour now, still freeing cold. The management doesn’t do anything to fix potential and existing issues until it’s completely broken.
Good day, Mary. We're sorry to hear that your experience with us has not been to your liking. We understand that when issues are ongoing, it can feel like nothing is happening behind the scenes. We would like you to know a solution to this is in the works, and if you would like to discuss it, we would be more than happy to do so with you.
Thank you, and have a great day,
The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: Worst living experience ever. The highest rent price here and worst maintain/service. Inhumane management and never care about residents. In the hot summer, the air conditioning can shut down for 3 weeks. No hot water supply from time to time...
Good day, Mario. We understand how frustrating the a/c issues and hot water can be, and we are sorry to hear that your interactions with staff have not met your expectations. At Unity, we take all maintenance issues seriously and work as quickly and diligently as possible. If you would like to discuss these issues further, we'd be happy to.
Thank you, and have a great day,
The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: Front desk are friendly and cleaning team are also friendly. So that is not my complaint here. I lived here for a little more than one year and it was nothing but a headache. From day 01 I moved in the place was a mess I had to clean dry wall off the floors, dirt and dust on every square inch of this place, garbage still under the fridge, sinks in the bathroom etc, it took me from 5:00pm-3:00am to clean the entire place. A side from this the lobby, gym, grills on the rooftop terrace, the game room at the top floor, study rooms, elevators, you name it where always trashed by residents in this building. The water filters took over 10 months to change. Gym equipment would go missing, aswell as broken gym equipment I’m sure till this day are still broken or need maintenance. Oh the lovely A/C which I’m sure is still out now that I am moved out. I’m sure people struggled more than me, I had to come and move out for a straight week my room got up to 29.5°C. Now imagine moving in or out in this heat… rather living day by day even trying to sit on the couch and relax is near impossible not to mention your health that is at risk. My watch read in the week of this my heart was taking damage and I am not surprised. P.S the fridge also leaks even after they fixed it multiple times. Aswell as these ugly A and B stickers on the doors because locks were supposed to be installed months ago and never was done. Now at the end of my lease we owe more money even though I was told my last month is not charged, always surprises with this place. I recommend any other building as for the price of this place is absurd for what you get and the quality of everything. I wouldn’t pay for than $600/month for my two bedroom I was in. My message is to help others who plan on visiting to know I am not the only one as you can see in reviews not happy about my experience.
Good day, Matt. We would first like to start by saying that we are pleased to hear that your interactions with the front desk staff and cleaners have been to your liking during your tenancy with us. We are, however, sad to hear about your living experience outside of those interactions and understand how frustrating the ongoing fridge issues and the a/c having been down for a time can be. If you would like to discuss these things, along with what else you have mentioned in further detail, we would be more than happy to chat with you.
Thanks, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management Team.
Expérience négative: It has been about a month since air conditioning has not been working even though their "contractors are working diligently but custom-made parts take time". As it turns out, they still expect you to pay your rent in full even though one of their basic amenities is not working (and after taking away housekeeping even though the contract I signed included it, but hey, we can always reach out to management for "tips to keep our place clean"). Temperatures are around 30° every day and you can't even open the windows because this building was designed to have functioning ac, which obviously isn't working now. What a sorry excuse of "elevated living in Kingston".
Good day, Sabrina. We're sorry you don't find Unity all that great. We are available to talk Monday through Saturday and would love to hear from you about any issues/concerns you have about our community. Thank you, and we hope to speak with you soon - The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: Air conditioning issue occurs frequently and it takes forever to get fixed. 3days after:AC is still down and the room is hot as hell. SOS it’s been 3 weeks, and who could save us from this 30 degree hell of hot pot
Good day, Zhuyun. We understand the A/C issues are frustrating, especially in the summer, but we wish to assure you that we are doing all we can, as are the contractors, to fix this issue predominately. If you would like to discuss this issue further, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: By far the worst experience I've ever had renting an apartment. Why? 1) Do you like Privacy? Well, the team over at Unity Point/Place just love to violate tenant's right to privacy by entering units without any notice or an emergency. Yup, straight in through a locked door like a gigachad. What can I do? Probably file a formal complaint with the LTB and get a 3 figure reimbursement, doesn't seem worth my time. 2) Do you like staying warm and cozy in the Summer? Well, you're in luck. The AC has been down for the whole building for 3 weeks (still counting) and it's 28-30 degrees C in my studio. As I type right now my keyboard is sticky but my sticky keys option is not on, it's the sweat. Lovely weather to take nice relaxing sleep in. Who doesn't love lethargy. 3) Do you like taking cold showers? Again, you're in luck. In the bleakest of weather the brisk touch of cold water soothes the soul. Warm water, no need. Unity doesn't have hot water plenty of the time so better get used to cold showers. 4) How does the AC work (when it does work)? The central AC unit can either cool or heat at any one time. Cooling starts June 1st and ends September 15th. May was (is) a hot month. After reading this, or any one of the other reviews, do you really think Unity is the place to rent? Respect yourself, choose another.
Good day, M M. We're sorry to hear about your experience with us here at Unity and wish you to know that we are working as diligently as possible regarding the current A/C issue and the issue you mentioned with the water. We understand that not having the A/C on until June can be a pain, but we are following the City of Kingston By-Law regarding when the A/C can be turned on.
As for the issue of someone entering your suite without notice, we would greatly appreciate it if you could please reach out to us so we can discuss this issue with you and look into it.
Thank you, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management
Expérience négative: DO NOT COME!!!! THIS WILL BE THE WORST APARTMENT EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE EVER HAD!!! Ive been in Canada for over six years. My current apartment lease runs from September 2023 to August 2024, with a monthly rent of 1,600 CAD. LMFAO, this apartment has the worst management team, environment, service, and facilities Ive ever encountered in my life. 1. Recently, actually a few weeks ago, the AC broke down. According to the contractors, they are working extremely hard and eagerly to solve the problem. Even after working hard for several weeks, everyone is still living in an environment with a room temperature of 28 degrees. The most ridiculous thing is that their front desk deceived the tenant (me) and said that the AC would be repaired last night to perfunctorily deal with all the problems. 2. No sense of responsibility. I dont know what the role of this contractor or management team is. All responses from them are template emails. Then whats the difference between this and talking to a robot? It doesn’t even reply to your message at all. 3. When the AC does work, it cant even maintain a set temperature, reverting to 28 degrees after a short period. Its also excessively loud at night, requiring manual adjustments that severely disrupt sleep. 4. The refrigerator has been leaking consistently. 5. Can u imagine that an apartment that costs $1,600 a month has no hot water in the winter, and their solution is "Water is free anyway, you can turn on the water 10 minutes in advance," these are the exact words of their manager. 6. During the hottest time of the summer, they couldn't fix the AC for the entire month of July, which made it impossible for me to work or sleep at home. I paid for myself to live outside, but they would not give me any compensation for the rent, and kept repeating the same thing. There are numerous issues with this apartment... The management team claims they are actively addressing these concerns, but their actions over the years have proven otherwise. The problems remain unsolved, indicating a lack of professionalism and capability. I can guarantee that all the above issues are from personal experience. I strongly advise against renting this apartment for any reason or duration. I will also inform my friends about these issues. #lease #air conditioning #cleaning #fridge #hot water #amenities #students
Good day, Pengzhan. We're sorry to see the frustration you are feeling with the air conditioner and fridge issue both the property and yourself are facing, and we know that general, property-wide emails while being informative, do not always sound personal. With that said, all the issues mentioned in your review are being worked on as diligently as we are able, and if you would like to talk to us about these issues further, we would be more than happy to do so. Thank you, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management
Expérience négative: No air conditioning for the last 3 weeks. Apparently the parts are stuck in the Panama canal, or so the management claims. Who knows if they're telling the truth. If the management was actually serious about fixing this issue, they would've replaced the ac unit with something else by now
Good day, Owais. At Unity, we understand your frustration with the Air conditioner being down during summer. As the parts have to be custom-made, it can take time, but we are hopeful that it will be up and running sooner rather than later. If you would like to discuss this further with us, our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 7 and on Saturdays from 11 - 4. Thank you, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: It should not take more than a week to fix the AC. Ridiculous.
Good day, Raffia. We know how frustrating it is that the A/C is taking longer than expected and hoped for when it comes to repairs, but we wish to assure you that both ourselves and our contractors are doing all they can to get this up and running for everyone. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at the office.
Thank you, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management Team.
Expérience négative: If you want to experience heat stroke then come and live in this building. Can you imagine tenants opening their doors to try to get some cool air into the room? Can you imagine the AC is broken for more than a week and all we get are some useless emails? It’s 2024 not 1924, if getting parts from contractors needs to take more than one week then go find another one who can do the proper jobs. Ridiculous
Good day, Qingqing. We understand how frustrating the situation is with the A/C not working and the desire to have it fixed as soon as possible. However, the parts have to be custom-ordered, which can take some time. If you want to discuss the situation further, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management Team.
Expérience négative: The living experience is terrible. The air conditioner broke down and no one repaired it. The refrigerator and dishwasher broke down several times. The key is that the price is very expensive. This price does not match the service.
Good day, Jingyi. We understand the frustration of having the A/C break down during summer and are working diligently with our contractors to get it up and running as fast as possible. As for the issues with the dishwasher and fridge, we will reach out to discuss these issues with you to ensure they h ave been fixed to your satisfaction and, if not, to get them fixed.
Thank you, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management Team.
Expérience négative: Worst living experience ever. Bad management even the management company switched. 1. Air conditioning + heating never worked and functioning since I lived here. 2. The fridges in multiple units —— according to other residents, dripping water all the time and never get fixed by the maintenance. 3. Packages get stolen easily and they do nothing. 4. Parking lot designs so bad —— many cars get scratches when entering the entrance or trying park to the spot. Sensor doesn’t work stably well + the sensor wires can be moved by hand. The images shows how many cars scratches on the wall. And the sensor wires on the floor. 5. Worst customer service ever. Never solved issues for tenants. My car get hit by the garage door on top. The manager was talking disrespectfully without any patience, she REFUSED to have a conversation and called police instead. The property manager even yelled at us “I DON’T CARE BECAUSE NO ONE GOT INJURED” ——this was original words came from her month and I could still remember it. If there’s someone in the car got hurt it would be too late for you to fix the problem. She claimed that there were bunch of people yelling, screaming and threatening at her and the front desk (the front desk girl is nice and respectful btw) —— while we were actually standing there, chitchatting with our coffee and waiting for the property manager to HELP us. But she turned out to be AGAINST us. She claimed that they’re under staffed while they just hired new members in their team and it should not be our problem if there’s no one can help us under their management. We ended up with the POLICE helped us instead, which can show how irresponsible the property management is. If you’re expecting to pay $1600 - $2700 to have a good living experience, I wish you the best of luck because you’ll get nothing. Update & Respond the comments below: 1. The Management team was so unprofessional and fake, they NEVER get back to me even though I HAVE A POLICE REPORT. 2. Their maintenance team responds very slow. Since I moved in, there has been a problem with my door—we can’t lock it from the outside because the lock is broken. Last year, maintenance came and fixed it, but the lock stopped working again last week. I submitted another maintenance request and waited for a few days, but no one came. I decided to try fixing the lock myself, and it worked. A few days after I fixed it, maintenance finally came. Based on all the issues and feedback from the other google reviews I WISH the company could REFUND everyone and STOP SCAMMING new tenant.
유일홍, thanks for taking the time to write this review. We are so sorry that your experience at Unity has not been positive, and we want to work with you to address your concerns. We'd be more than happy to talk with you regarding these issues and work through them together. We sincerely want you to have the best experience possible and'll do what we can to help. Thanks! - The Unity Team,
Expérience négative: No air conditioning
Good day. We understand the disappointment in not currently having A/C during the summer months and wish to reassure you that we have contractors working diligently on rectifying this as soon as they are able. If you would like to discuss the situation further, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you, and have a great day - The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience fantastique: Had an amazing experience dealing with the leasing team. They were very polite and responsive. They paid attention to all our concerns and worked out the best possible options for us. Highly recommended!!!
Good day, Sukhman. We are so pleased to hear that you have had an amazing experience with our leasing team. We will be sure to pass your compliments along to them. Thank you for your review and we hope to see you in the future as a resident with us!

Expérience négative: Worst possible place to live. Do not live here. You pay astronomically high rent prices for terrible service, staff, and living conditions. Units are very small and cheaply built, the ceilings are literally unfinished and you can see paint and electrical tape still there from construction. Every knob in the unit is backwards for heat and cold. The hot water doesn’t work on most days. Worst of alll, the air conditioning doesnt work at all. My unit has been 25 degrees and extremely humid all summer and nothing has been done about it, as they deem it not urgent unless the unit is 30 degrees. There is no airflow whatsoever from opening windows either as they are only able to open 2 inches. Just to illustrate how terrible the service is here, it took them 4 months to fix a broken knob for the window in my unit. I have never met someone with a pleasant experience living at either unity properties. If you’re considering living here, i assure you literally any other possible living situation will be preferable, there is nothing advantageous about unity. The amenities are terrible too, the gym has no equipment and is useless all they have is a lounge.
Nicholas Matar, thanks for taking the time to rate us. It’s clear that your experience with Unity Point was less than ideal and we apologize. We have responded to your second review that you left under Unity Place. If you have any questions or would like to reach out to the office, please contact [email protected]. Thank you, Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience fantastique: Significantly better than Shoreline.
Good day, Josh. We're delighted to hear that you have enjoyed seeing our property. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. - Unity Point & Place Managemenet
Expérience fantastique: I did a tour with them and the buildings are new with amazing amenities
Good day, Hard. Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are pleased to see that it is to your liking and hope to see you as a future resident soon! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us! - The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience fantastique: The buildings are so beautiful and their staff is very welcoming
Hello, Darshan. Thank you for your review; we are pleased to hear that you have found the property is to your tastes and that you had a welcoming experience during your tour; we'll be sure to pass your kind words along to the staff. If you have any questions about us that weren't answered during your tour, please feel free to contact us. We hope to see you in the future! - The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience fantastique: Our experience with the leasing staff was IMPRESSIVE!! Extremely responsive! Amazingly patient! Follows through on actions, demonstrated good, honest customer service. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Shout out to Holly Richards and Emma, and anyone else that answered phones and emails:) A great start to a new adventure!

Expérience négative: Living conditions were decent, luckily I didn't have too many issues with my apartment. However, they are not very transparent with their leasing terms and often charge very high prices, with rent increases that are not generous at all. Their recent change in management has also led to many poor changes, such as the removal of their monthly cleaning service and not opening A/C until June (yet they continue to charge the same price). As mentioned in other reviews, their maintenance service is also very slow - my leaking fridge was not fixed for more than a year. Overall, an ok place to live, but not worth the exorbitant price.
Hello, Eric. We're truly sorry to hear about the challenges you faced with your apartment. It's disappointing to hear that we were not as transparent with their leasing terms and that there have been issues with the maintenance and services provided as you would have liked. Your feedback is valuable, and I hope these issues are addressed for the benefit of all residents. We here at Unity and PeakMade take all issues seriously. Thank you for sharing your experience. - The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: Great if your unit has no problems. Terrible living experience if your unit came with problems. The whole building was rushed from the start so they could open sooner. Through my entire lease, my toilet kept having problems and would not flush properly and I had to call the help line every other day. The management wouldn’t take responsibility and blamed me for causing this issue when the toilet was already bubbling when I was viewing the unit to begin with. I was accused of throwing baby wipes down the toilet which caused it to clog (they never found proof of any baby wipes in the toilet) I was also accused of throwing food down the toilet (I had threw up once or twice, but any working toilet would be able to handle vomit) I asked maintenance what was actually wrong and they knew the issue wasn’t my fault and that toilets that aren’t properly installed have issues like this, but management refused to listen to them Half way through my lease, there was a leak in the ceiling of my bedroom because the pipe wasn’t properly attached + the ac completely stopped working and they never fixed it. *Management has yet to refund me my key deposit as well
We're genuinely sorry to hear about your difficulties at the apartment complex. It sounds like you had a tough time dealing with the maintenance issues and the management's response. If you can reach out to us, we would be more than happy to look into this deposit issue for you. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Expérience négative: Don't ever expect your: fridge, AC and dishwasher to work. Expect 32 degree C living rooms starting March - October. Packages get stolen daily. Daily dose of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. Oh you wanna complain? Too bad they go hide in their little office to not respond to you and guess what? They lie and call the cops on you for standing in the lobby asking for assistance (they say you're causing a scene and yelling) Expect homeless people in the lobby. They're gonna reply about some new management below.. don't buy it's literally the same if not worse. TLDR: do not sign here
Hello, Daniel; we're sorry to hear about the challenges you've experienced with your living conditions. It's disappointing to hear that the management's response has not met your expectations. Your feedback is essential, and I hope these issues can be addressed and improved upon. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Expérience négative: Do not recommend. Lived here for a year. AC does not work and room reaches 32 degrees daily. Fridge never worked starting from first month to my last. Dishwasher doesn’t work. Management is slow to respond and called cops on us for asking for help. Please don’t do it. It’s terrible.
We're sorry to hear about your experience. We understand that the AC, fridge, and dishwasher issues, as well as the management's responsiveness, have been disappointing. We will address these issues promptly and strive to improve the living conditions for all residents. Thank you for your feedback.
Expérience fantastique: Happy birthday
Thank you for the five-star review, Yahya! We appreciate your feedback!
Expérience négative: Lived here since the building opened. Management team has not improved. Appliances are “good” , fridge leaks, appliances often stop working (microwave ex.), no security in the building, and it is a sauna especially during the fall and spring (management team refuses to turn on air conditioning until May 1st). Building lobby always smells like trash. Complementary monthly cleaning service is the bare minimum and has stopped since new management has taken over even though it is in our lease agreement.
Hannah, thank you for taking the time to rate Unity Point. As you know, PeakMade Real Estate has taken over management of Unity Point & Place as of earlier this year and we are working diligently to resolve any outstanding concerns that residents may have. It appears that you are no longer a resident at our buildings, but I did want to pass along the information that starting this month we have received approval to conduct a large project regarding repairs that have been needed with the provided fridges that will resolve your concerns. We also have received approval for in-person security outside of office hours that will begin in the month of May. I understand that this does not affect your living experience personally, but I invite you to revisit Unity Point & Place as an option when you are looking for housing again in the future. It is important to us to resolve any outstanding concerns; if there is anything additional please do not hesitate to reach out to [email protected]. Thank you, Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: Nice units and amenities, but there are much better values for student housing in the area and the old management team was extremely difficult to deal with (hopefully somewhat improved now)
Ben, thank you for taking the time to rate Unity Point. If there is anything outstanding that we are able to assist with, please contact us at [email protected] and we would be happy to help. Best, Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: The slowest place in the world. They are quick to ask you for payments such as rent, electricity, insurance, sublet fees etc, but EXTREMELY slow to assist with other problems. Me and my roommates made the mistake of choosing a unit at this horrible expensive apartment where they were constantly milking us of all our money. On top of the crazy rent prices you also have to pay a million other fees that you are only made aware of AFTER signing the lease. Additionally when we tried subletting our apartment the multitude of issues we faced was insane. The communication was NEVER there on their side. Emails were never answered and often ignored and even PHONE CALLS weren’t picked up. If phone calls were picked up you would be put on hold or transferred which would turn out to you just being hung up on. If you are a student and are new to all this renting stuff this apartment IS NOT for you. It is not beginner friendly at all and there will be no help available for you since emails and phone calls are ignored. Will not be renewing my lease at all, you are better off living in some other apartment complex or preferably a house, don’t let this place fool you with its “amazing amenities” and pictures. Unless you have the money to burn, look somewhere else! The headache and stress of renting this place is really not worth any of the minimal pros.
Hello, Hafa; we're sorry to hear about the challenges you've faced during your time at the apartment. It's understandably frustrating to feel that the management is slow to address certain issues. We take your concerns about unexpected fees and difficulties when subletting seriously here at Peak. Thank you for sharing your feedback - The Unity Team
Expérience fantastique: This property is the best place for students in Kingston! It offers so much: professional onsite staff who truly care about the residents, secure access to the building and each unit and bedroom, free wifi, free access to awesome amenities like the roof top lounges, student spaces, and gym. Highly recommend checking it out if going to Queens or even St.Lawrence college.
Hello, Melissa. Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. We here at Unity Point and Place strive to do our very best to ensure our residents are happy and have an enjoyable living experience with us.
If you want to discuss anything regarding our rentals or the property, don't hesitate to reach out; we'd love to chat!
Thank you, and have a great day,
The Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience négative: Several issues made me feel disappointed in this unit that I paid over $2000 in monthly rent: 1) Hot water stopped working for weeks over Christmas 2022, had to take cold showers 2) Fridge stopped working and all my food spoiled 3) when I had to move out early and re-assign my lease, I found the new tenant myself but they still charged me a $350 lease reassignment fee and did not provide an itemized receipt 4) most frustrating of all, I moved out Oct 1st and they still have not refunded me my last months rent. It's now been two months and I'm about to file a T1 with the landlord tenant board I know a lot of undergraduate students and international students live here and it's just disappointing to think about how much they can get away with when it comes to all the tenants who are less familiar with Ontario rental laws or less comfortable advocating for themselves. They clearly have a PR team to suppress or invalidate negative reviews and I'll bet they'll be responding to this one. Only reason this standard of rental building can exist is because there are so few rental options in Kingston.
Good day, CW. We're sorry to hear that this was your experience with Unity when you lived with us. The new management company that has taken over since you moved out, PeakMade, has been working very hard to ensure all the concerns you have mentioned are addressed to provide the best living experience for our residents.
If you have anything outstanding from your time at Unity that you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]
Thank you, and have a great day,
THe Unity Point & Place Management Team
Expérience fantastique: Victoria is an incredible member of the unity team who has gone above and beyond to help me with any issue I’ve had and resolved those issues quickly and efficiently. Thank you so much for all your help!
Expérience négative: There was no AC for days. With the high rent price we are paying you’d expect problems like this would be taken care of promptly but that wasn’t the case. Not to mention it took 7 phone calls to get hold of anyone. I understand if they cannot fix it right away but fans or monetary compensation should be provided if that is the case rather than expecting tenants to live in inhumane conditions in the middle of a heat warning.
Expérience négative: Be careful Some of the workers are very arrogant even the woman who is so called the « lease manager » bad people
Expérience fantastique: Victoria works at the front desk of Unity Place and is the best start to my morning! She always has a smile and kindly greets everyone coming in and out of the building. I’ve come to know Victoria over the past few months and I can easily say that Unity has picked the perfect person to be working at the front desk and handling all of the interactions, as she is so personable and wants to ensure that every resident has a positive experience.
Expérience négative: Every bedroom must have egress window according to the law. That's all.
Expérience fantastique: Lived at Unity for a year. Really enjoyed my time there thanks to the super attentive staff (shoutout Taylor, Victoria, Kenneth, and many others), great location, and solid amenities. Some signs of recent construction as it’s a new building but great overall!
Expérience fantastique: I love living here ! Staff is always helpful and friendly
Expérience négative: The gym that we pay for has been closed due to a leak for over two months now and there seems to be no effort to repair it. You are also supposed to get a mail key but they will not give you one, so if there is ever something you need from the mail box, you have to wait and it can be hard to get a reach of them.
Expérience négative: $2000 rent. Have been living here for seven months, and did not have hot water five times. When it was broken, you would never know when it would be fixed. They do have an emergency hotline, god bless you if you can get through when emergency really happens. I have been requesting for fixing the heating for two months, yet no feedback whatsoever. I tested the "heated air" with a thermometer, it has been blowing 19 to 21 °C wind since Nov.
Expérience négative: Wow, as I am monitoring the new reviews on google maps. Some FACTUAL and AUTHENTIC reviews that are revealing how subpar, incompetent and irresponsible you guys are were taken down. Seems like your PR team is trying to do something. Actually, if the property management team can respond as fast as your PR team did, tenants probably won’t be that angry. But guess what? Your PR team doesn’t seem to be qualified enough. Do you want to spend your $2000 on shutting you up? Choose Unity Point today! Don’t even TRY to retaliate on people who are not silenced and Don’t say “unfortunately we don’t have your application profile” or “we don’t have your maintenance request.” As we all know, YOUR price listing are NOT transparent, which means that you guys can have price discriminations without letting people know. Who wouldn’t be concerned as you guys claimed that if we deadboldted the lock from inside the door can’t be open from outside, while the housekeeping ppl have done that million times coming in when I’m asleep, invading my PRIVACY. Should we be expecting something if we speak for our legitimate rights? Do you wanna have someone coming in your unit when sleep with locked door? Choose Unity Point today!
Expérience négative: Fun fact 1: no hot water in shower for at least 3 days, not idea when it will be solved but not today, obvi. Countless calls have been made across the tenants and nothing is addressed but asking us to fill the maintenance request over and over. What’s the point of maintenance request if THAT IS A PROPERTY WIDE problem? Enjoy your holiday season with no hot showers! This is what you get for $2000+ per month rent in a small town. So ironic that you called yourself “luxury” on the map. How luxurious it is to not be able to shower in winter. Fun fact 2: the front desk staff is allegedly to be there 9-5, according to YOUR OFFICE. Your office repeatedly respond to all of your requests with: find the on-site staff. But guess what? They are barely there at 9 and definitely not there at 5. Don’t even try to find excuses. If the staff have anything else to deal with, at least have SOMEONE else at the front desk, or what’s the service yall offering for LITERALLY the MOST EXPENSIVE building in Kingston? What’s the point of a front desk when NO ONE is there? If you are incapable of providing premium services, don’t charge premium prices. Overpriced, obvi. What a shame you called yourself “more than luxury.” This is not a trashy place, but this is a trashy place for $2000/month rent. Thanks to the platform, there’s not 0 star ratings.
Expérience fantastique: Taylor and Mackenzie were so accommodating and helpful during our tour. Taylor has communicated effectively with my daughter who is looking to lease for next year. She is very professional and knowledgeable. The place looks clean with great amenities. Looking forward to starting the leasing process! Thank you!
Expérience fantastique: Cleaning services at Unity Place are amazing. The staff are so nice and do such a good job cleaning everything, they get all the nooks and crannies — even the microwave!
Expérience fantastique: very good place to live, great cleaning team.
Expérience fantastique: Amazing!
Expérience négative: The thermostat was down longer than it was running, which led me to spend the summer at a friend's house in Toronto. When you ask the question the property will tell you that the thermostat is a free facility so they can decide whether it works or not. Its so ridiculous that the apartment managers probably think I would pay 2000+ a month for a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment in kingston with no air conditioning. hydro is also a free facility, so plz cut it off whenever u want, and let's c the consequence. (As I write this, the thermostat has not been working for more than a week.) I have been living here for four months, during which there have been three power cuts and two water cuts. Although we'll see two elevators isn't a lot compared to that many residents, and they break down all the time. The access control system and security are a joke. Every day I come home to find advertising paper hanging on the door handle. The water pressure in the kitchen is too low, and hot water is a lottery. Signing a 1 year deal with unity place was probably the stupidest decision I've ever made in my life.
Expérience fantastique: Great apartment building, clean, well-managed, friendly staff (especially the cleaning team).
Expérience fantastique: The Cleaning Team is the best part of living at Unity Point. Consistent, thorough, and friendly.
Expérience fantastique: I have just moved in, move in day was seamless and the staff are amazing, I absolutely love living here. The location to school is perfect, I couldn't ask for anything better. I would highly recommend Unity Place.
Expérience fantastique: My experience so far at Unity Point has been amazing! Jack and the rest of the team have continued to go above and beyond for anything I need! I highly recommend living here, especially if you are new to Kingston because the team provides many opportunities to meet friends and get to know the people you share a building with! 10/10 experience thus far!
Expérience fantastique: Staff was very helpful when moving in and the whole day went very smoothly!
Expérience fantastique: Move in went smoothly!
Expérience positive: I recently completed a lease takeover with Unity Point - Taylor and the team were super great with answering any and all questions I had. Unfortunately there was a lot of confusion with my lease papers (not coming through email, missing signatures, etc.) but Taylor was super great at following to make sure all was sorted! Looking forward to living there January 2023!
Expérience fantastique: We have dealt with Taylor Adams and she has been amazing to deal with. From the initial process of setting up a viewing to helping all my answers with regards to the paperwork, portal etc she has been there every step off the way. Taylor always got back to me in a timely manner. My daughter will be attending first year at Queen's and so far the experience with Taylor and Unity team has been excellent.
Expérience fantastique: The housekeeping service is great at Unity Place.
Expérience fantastique: Unity Point has been without a doubt one of the best leasing companies I have dealt with! From the stunning views, to the modern amenities and super friendly and accommodating staff, I have nothing but good things to say about Unity Point and highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to lease!
Expérience fantastique: Cleaning team is awesome! Super friendly and did really nice work!
Expérience fantastique: The staff and team at Unity Point are absolutely amazing! Everyone is so friendly and always ready to greet you with a smile. The location itself couldn't be more perfect! Close to Queens campus, close to downtown Kingston, and just a short walk from the water. There's not too many high-rises around so the stunning view is just an added bonus. This is a great option for anyone looking to be close to the hustle and bustle of downtown Kingston and in a nice clean spot.
Expérience négative: Today the elevators were not working. I called their emergency line at @ 11:16am. I said we needed help by security to carry our suitcases down the stairs. We had heavy parcels as well. It is now 3:50 pm and no call back. My daughter said she has reached out before to emergency line & they never call back. You have no support in case of an emergency. Only other option is 911. They don’t even have a 24 hour security in sight. They must be sharing one with other building. He’s nowhere to be found as we have looked for someone several times. Their air conditioning hasn’t worked all summer up until a couple of wks ago. Water pressure is very low. My daughter has had leaky pipes and has needed twice to follow procedure and submit documentation to have it fixed. They offered a pail initially to catch the leaking water. The suite is beautiful but the standards for what you pay do not match. Demand is high therefore they can get away with this unfortunately. Better management is definitely NEEDED. Imagine you can’t reach a soul when the elevators aren’t working.
Expérience négative: Edit: I can not reply to your comment so I am editing mine to respond. I am subletting a unit at Unity Place and the maintenance requests are sent from Jisoo. They keep taking down my review and not addressing my issue but my apartment has absolutely no hot water and the building management has done nothing about it for over 2 weeks now. They don't answer calls or emails or even maintenance requests but are very quick to take down these reviews like please attempt to help me!
Expérience fantastique: I had an amazing experience here. All the staff, management, housekeeping crew, maintenance and emergency maintenance were all great. After living here my standards for my next place are super high. Thank you for a great year :)
Expérience fantastique: Unity Place has been fantastic! Super helpful and friendly staff :)
Expérience négative: Tried renting from Unity Point. Was told I need a guarantor or a letter of employment even though it's marketed towards students. I was also told we can override that if I can show a bank statement with more than three months of rent. I get that bank statement and application still denied. Thanks for wasting two weeks of my time. I would not recommend anyone rent here as they have shady business practices
Expérience fantastique: Unity point is a great place to live! Very close to Queens university and downtown Kingston, all within walking distance. The amenities in the building are all brand new. The management, repair and cleaning teams are all very kind and helpful.
Expérience fantastique: Writing a review specifically about the housekeeping services at Unity Point as they always leave us extremely happy and impressed with their work! The housekeeping team is composed of a lovely bunch. Today Cheryl and Michelle came into our unit and as usual were super friendly and polite. They always clean our common living space and ask permission to go into individual bedrooms to clean our ensuite bathrooms as well. The work they put into cleaning is always done at 100%, and goes above and beyond anything we are ever able to achieve when we clean our apartment ourselves, making sure to cover every surface and crevice. They really work hard to leave use with a unit that feels as fresh as the day we moved in. Thank you to the whole housekeeping team for excellent service!
Expérience fantastique: Taylor Adams at the front desk is absolutely AMAZING! She is professional, kind, polite, and genuinely willing to help and resolve any and all issues. Condo units are extremely clean and beautiful! Wonderful place and management!! Thank you for a great experience.
Expérience fantastique: All of the staff here are so great and helpful! Shout out to my man Brady!
Expérience fantastique: I love unity point. Not easy to find accommodations like this. The building is new and very clean. The amenities are soooo nice ( especially the gym and rooftop). The staff are so welcoming and helpful, I feel at home here. Not to mention the view!
Expérience fantastique: After visiting Unity Point I can definitely say that the staff here are unbelievably inviting. I took a tour around the show room and was blown away by how modern all the appliances are and the furniture selection is beautiful, and can't forget the view which is 10/10. Definitely a great option for anyone looking for an apartment near downtown and Queen's campus!
Expérience fantastique: I love living at unity point! The gorgeous apartments along with the proximity to Queen’s and downtown is unmatched! The staff is awesome and are always happy to help :) highly recommend
Expérience négative: Hi Everyone, I tried posting this in our residence Facebook group, but they keep taking it down. - - - Just an FYI the garage is not secure. There have been 3 car break ins that I know of and someone’s car was stolen. Recently the tires were stolen off my bike that was locked in the garage. The only footage available was useless and did not show the front of the person. This should not be happening Unity Point needs to up their security. If you have belongings in the garage it is not safe.
Expérience fantastique: What a great place to live! I love that it's so close and walking distance to everything that you might need. Management really tries to build a community and go above and beyond for their residents. All amenities are new, we have a nice gym, study lounge and the roof top patio is amazing! The view from there....UNBELIEVABLE! 10/10! <3
Expérience fantastique: Fantastic place to live, everything is super modern great option for students.
Expérience fantastique: Taylor and the whole team at Unity Point was an absolute pleasure to work with, polite, professional, and profound. Their knowledge regarding their services and living accommodations was nothing short of perspicacious. I would highly recommend leasing with this group as your needs will certainly be met.
Expérience fantastique: I had such a wonderful experience here! Everyone behind the front desk was so helpful and lovely. Plus, I saw 2 dogs. Best day ever.
Expérience fantastique: When looking for somewhere to live for this upcoming school year, obviously Unity Point was one of the top choices. Brand new, modern & beautiful condo setting. Brooke helped me find exactly what I was looking for, she was fast to reply to emails and navigated me & my parents through the process so easily!! Highly recommend UP as your residence for the school year!
Expérience fantastique: The building looks amazing and the staff is great! Talked to Brooke on the phone and she was very kind, courteous and happily answered all of my questions!
Expérience fantastique: Great place to live
Expérience fantastique: Super helpful staff in finding a suitable room. Great location close to queens, with a very reasonable price for the amenities. After having moved in I’m really happy with everything.
Expérience négative: When I called to inquire and ask if they were running any promotions, they offered me a $2500 signing bonus if I signed a lease for a Brock suite. So I immediately switched my selected suite to a Brock in order to get the signing bonus (and turned down two other leases at other apartments). Then when I called/emailed (it took about 10 phone calls over 2 weeks to get an answer) to see how they would be distributing the signing bonus, they refused to give me the bonus, saying that they had no record of the offer... while the offer was posted on their public facebook page AND timestamped a few days before I signed my lease (see attached image) AND records showed me changing my suite to a Brock from another suite after being offered the bonus. The amenities that are advertised on their site (gym, patio, study rooms, barbeque, etc.) and were promised to be ready by September 1st are still not ready one month later. To top it all off, their staff/management is disorganized and often totally *unresponsive* - I sent 4 emails and called ~15 times after signing my lease to get some questions answered and most of those emails are unanswered to this day, 3 months later.
Expérience négative: BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE LISTINGS! Unity point has nice leasing representatives but that's about it. Their listings are extremely deceptive in regards to price. the 'BARRIE' suite is listed on their site as 'From $869/month' leading any reasonable person to be believe that the two bedroom unit would be $1,738/ month ($869 a room). Right as I was about to go forward with the lease, I was informed that while one of the bedroom was $869/month the second room would actually be $1,148/month??? This room is nearly $300 dollars more a month, simply because it has a front facing window DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE ROOM ITSELF IS SMALLER. I have never heard of an apartment building charging separate prices for each room - this is usually up to the tenants to decide. No only was the price of this second bedroom no listed anywhere on the website, but they tried to sneakily slide this information in at the last possible moment. AVOID UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING TO WASTE YOUR TIME.
