I called her for advice with respect to the sale of my mother's condo that had been on the market for over a year with little action. Nancy gave me some suggestions and then asked if I would like Robertson Kadwell to take over the listing. I had originally been leery of using a friend just in case it didn't go well but Nancy reassured me and told me that her daughter, Joanna Kadwell, was very experienced in selling Toronto condos, so I agreed. Joanna and Nancy swept in and came up with many creative ideas, advice and practical solutions to get this un-renovated unit refreshed, updated and back on the market at a reasonable cost to me. It looked fresh and sparkling by the time they were done. They went to considerable trouble and effort to complete the new look which involved many visits by Joanna to the condo. They had it virtually staged which was very effective. We realized that the original selling price was no longer realistic in the current market so it was lowered to attract new buyers and it sold within a reasonable amount of time. He was highly recommended to us by friends and family so we decided to get in touch. He offered helpful suggestions on small things that we could do to make the condo as presentable as possible for the listing and viewings. The attention to detail that was given to our listing was fantastic, going so far as to send a professional photographer who was very thorough and someone to take measurements and produce a floor plan despite the small space (550 sq ft). We had an honest discussion regarding the value of our condo and agreed on a fair but competitive price. Within 24 hours of listing we had received multiple offers and accepted an offer at just over asking. Andrew’s patience and guidance throughout the purchasing process was also especially appreciated. We viewed dozens of homes over the course of a month and made numerous trips to Hamilton in our search, including a couple of revisits to the same houses for an additional look. Ultimately the house that we settled on was found and recommended by Andrew, and was in a neighbourhood that we originally hadn’t been considering but that ended up being perfect for us. We purchased our house at a price that was meaningfully below asking.
