I was looking for a home that was in a mature and desireable neighbourhood--particularly one where residents stayed for several years, so houses on sale were few and far between. The unconventional way Rene found my house is impressive, and is a frequent story I tell anyone who is interested in finding a fantastic real estate agent. It involves him knocking on EACH door of the preferred neighbourhood I had my heart set on. Even when his fellow agents laughed at him, this didn't stop him until he knocked on the door of a woman who just happened to have made the decision (the night before) to privately sell! His sense of urgency had me swiftly viewing the place the same day and closing the deal that same night! The cherry on top is the fact that I bought my home for tens of thousands below its market value, when it was a sellers market and houses were SO insanely expensive. THANK YOU, Rene!
