Negative experience: We used Colleen to sell our house in Carleton Place and were totally underwhelmed by her service. Where to begin…. What ever you do, don’t use Colleen if your house has a crawlspace or doesn’t have a full basement. Our house was located close to the river and only had a crawlspace due to the river rock. Wow, did we ever hear about that. I don’t think Colleen ever sold a house that didn’t have a full basement or a finished basement before. We lost count of how many times we had to hear that our house was less marketable because we, “don’t have a full basement.” It was so frequent that we were seriously thinking of cancelling our contract with her and finding an agent who could handle a house with a crawl space. Then, we had an offer on the house that Colleen decided she would hold on to for 3 DAYS before presenting it to us. And when she did, she only gave us 6 hours to decide on the offer. Maybe she has no real estate experience and didn’t understand that the offer is our property, not hers??? We are still contemplating reporting her to OREA for this incident alone. After our house sold, we didn’t hear from her again, not even on the closing date to make sure things went well. But she was happy to take her commission. Additionally, whenever we met in person, we could smell alcohol on her breath. We don’t recommend Colleen as an agent.

Fantastic experience: When it was time to sell our home my wife was clear on who we'd choose to sell our home and that was Colleen. And I've learned over the years my wife is usually right but in the case there was no dispute. Colleen and her team know real estate. They understand the differences even in various neighbourhoods throughout Stittsville and how to compare homes in those different areas. Experienced and knowledgeable But more importantly, Colleen listens. She listens to questions, address concerns, consults, engages, and is just an overall wonderful person to work with. Colleen delivered beyond our expectations...because she had a plan. They say failing to plan, is planning to fail. The preparedness and knowledge of Colleen and to exceptional services delivered by her and her team is why she's successful, and in turn made us very successful in the sale of our home.
