I don't remember how we found them at the time but we're so happy that we did before moving across the world. As far as I'm concerned they are the best property management company out there. They do the basics well (pick tenants, collect and deposit rent, respond to all calls and questions, provide multiple options to problems as well as their recommendation) but they also go a step beyond. When I told them we needed to sell our place, they recommended a realtor, told us our tenant was interested in buying it, and then when our tenant bought it, they let us out of our property management agreement early with no fee. We’ve had our share of property managers before, but I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else in the future as his company has been by far the best I’ve ever dealt with.

It was very difficult to get anything done at that time because of all the lock downs. Rest Easy helped us rent a house and took care of some problems with the house immediately. Once a tenant was found, Rest Easy would take care of all communications with the tenant, collect rent and provide me with detailed monthly/yearly statements. Expérience fantastique: I have been a client of Rest Easy Property Management for about 2 years. Scott and his team have done an amazing job! The whole process was very smooth. Scott gave it to me straight when we were signing the contract. He came to visit the property and went over the whole contract with me in detail before signing. He very easily placed ads for the property, did walk throughs and was able to find an excellent tenant. The team has excellent communication and good network of contractors that are able to do work at subsidized prices. A few times they did the work for free (my tenant needed new bulbs for some appliances and they went out of their way to buy the bulbs and deliver them to the tenants free of cost). Their prices are very fair and I couldn't recommend them more. Nothing beats small business customer service and I would choose them over a big name property management company any day.

If you've ever tried to find a handyman to do a small job you realize how great it is for you and the tenant to have access this network. From finding and screening to the tenant, to handling the final walk through when the tenant moved out, Rest Easy professional and great to deal with, I highly recommend.

On a few occasions we needed immediate assistance, once because the washer machine broke and another time there was a leaky pipe. They were very quick to respond and resolve the issue. If a tenant is late (which has only happened during Covid) they let us know promptly and work with the tenant. Repairs they arrange have worked out well. When we use our own trades, logistics have been smooth. Vacancies haven't been a problem. We're going on 8 years now.

When my furnace acted up during the cold snap, -40 temperatures, the owner of Rest Easy actually took it upon himself to call me late on a Saturday to see how he could help. We are very happy with Rest Easy's service as landlords, and for our tenants.

Expérience négative: Absolutely useless middlemen. I can say that, as a tenant, nothing was ever fixed quickly or easily. Everything required multiple follow ups and there are constant delays. The only issue they ever acted quickly was collecting rent. Communicating with Taylor Mah was extremely frustrating, and they never took responsibility for anything (they even blamed the owner for their mistakes!) So, if you just need someone to cash rent cheques and take a big cut for doing nothing then use Resteasy. Otherwise, if you value good service for your tenants and effective management, use someone else.
