Fantastic experience: We live on the coast and recently had to move my elderly father out of his home in Kamloops. My wife had mentioned this to her pickleball friends and Kirsten was highly recommended as a go to Realtor in the Kamloops area. From our initial meeting until we closed yesterday the commitment to customer service and ensuring that the critical details were managed promptly and professionally since we were managing this remotely was a comfort for us as we navigated a difficult situation. Fantastic experience: I first met Kirsten Mason in 2013 when I purchased a townhouse in Kamloops. She was great, she worked hard and earned every penny she received for her services. I started looking for a house on May 1st and was moved in on June 1st. She knows the market but more important, she listens, she heard me. Then in 2023 I put my home in her hands in January of 2023 and I received an offer at the end of March, moved into my new home end of April. I had never met Kirsten and her first interaction with me was to tell me how to conduct myself despite not knowing anything about me. She is dismissive and condescending with her communication, and she unnecessarily complicated the sale of my home. She did not have the professional decency to respond to my message I sent directly to her, and I think a public warning is warranted. I would highly caution anyone considering working with Kirsten, as there are many much more professional and considerate realtors to work with in Kamloops.

Fantastic experience: Our family has been using Kirsten for many years for buying and selling homes, so when it came time for us to find our forever home, there was no doubt in our minds, who we would use. We are very particular on what we wanted and very often with conflicting points of view and our idea of a dream home weren't on the same page. Negative experience: In the fall I moved from the Fraser Valley to Kamloops. We bought a house and the listing agent was Kirsten Mason with Century 21 Desert Hills. I have bought and sold 7 houses in the last 20 years and never have I had an experience like this. 6 months later, we are still battling for agreed-upon reimbursements and settlements. Kristen made promises and failed to follow through. We approached the owner, Karl Neff, and had an even more frustrating encounter. With his refusal to review the details of the discrepancy or ability to communicate without emotion, he has made our opinion of this realty establishment even worse. I would stay away from them as selling or listing agents if you don’t want to have 6 months of headaches only to be told that they will not follow through.

Negative experience: The description of the house on Ms. Mason’s listing very clearly stated a roughed in bathroom in the downstairs space. After a LOT of back and forth between several vendors, it was declared that there was no rough-in at all. This was after incurring over $600 in fees to find this out. We have paid over $3K to rough in the bathroom to date. It took more than 4 months to replace a broken window, and was only done because we did all of the follow up. I would not trust them to follow through with any of their dealings, whether it is purchasing or selling.
