Fantastic experience: Justin from Shaw Realty Group was fantastic! As someone new to the area, I really appreciated his professionalism and knowledge. He found me a home that met every expectation — a perfect fit and the ideal start to a new journey. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: This is a bit of a long review, but it's important to know our experience. We had Shaw realty list our house. When we interviewed them for the listing , they sounded very sales driven and we felt confident putting the sale of our house in their hands. IF we had known then what would have transpired, I wouldn’t have walked away, I would have ran. The company itself is not to blame, but our listing agent, Adnan. We felt he was very undermining, sneaky and lacked communication and ghosted us when we had questions, and most of when we had concern with the listing. I had to at one point email Shaw himself because I couldn't get in touch with Adnan. We had a basement apartment that included a fridge and stove, we also had brand new appliances on the main level that included fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave. In our listing we did in fact include dishwasher, microwave and basement fridge and stove ONLY. We made it CLEAR that our main level fridge and stove and along with washer and dryer, ALL 1 year old appliances were to be specifically excluded in our listing. When listing was published, it included all appliances No mention of washer and dryer. However, when we brought this to Adnan’s attention, he merely said the fridge and stove inclusions were a play on words for the basement appliances only. So we felt he lead potential buyers to believe that ALL main level appliances were included in the sale of the home. We adamantly, and repeatedly asked him many, many times to change the public listing to put certain appliances as exclusions. I never did see the change in our listing on the public forum of Realtor.ca or Housesigma. He did say he changed the listing on the real estate board…(Hmmm) So when an offer came in, the potential homeowners wanted ALL appliances, including basement appliances, and all main level as well as washer and dryer. We said no, and we were nervous of losing the offer. We agreed to the offer because we felt pressured into agreeing to this offer. Adnan offered to take a cut in his commission to balance out the cost of our NEW one year old appliances. We agreed, however both parties, failed to disclose or ask just exactly what that commission cut would be. A new amendment had to be filed. He told us he had sent it to our lawyer, and found out days later he didn’t send it, as our lawyer kept asking for it. Dishonesty at it’s best. The commission HE settled on was a 0.25% cut. That percentage totalled $2,955. THAT barely covered the cost of the washer and dryer, never mind the cost of the main level appliances. We lost out on just over $9,000.00 in the appliances, they lost out $2,999.00 on their commission. Huge difference in money. I am leaving this google review for other potential sellers, as we felt very deceived by Adnan, and were ghosted many times in the process, felt pressured into the offer, wasn’t very communitive when we had concerns. I did read other reviews after we had listed with Shaw, my only regret is I didn’t read them before hand.

Fantastic experience: We just bought our first house and our realtor Justin was so amazing to work with. He was so attentive and helped us check all the boxes. He helped us find the perfect home and we couldn’t be more thankful. I’m so happy for this next chapter of our lives and we couldn’t be happier with our experience with Shaw realty group. Negative experience: The realtors Adnan and Daniel dont know how to lease homes. If u have a perfect credit score, and find what a place u want to lease Daniel is capable. But if u have a bad credit score he can't get u into anything whatsoever. Adnan sold my home and they had over 2 months to find me a home to lease and failed badly. If it weren't for a family member putting us up we would've been homeless, just because he was in a rush to sell.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience working with Hayyan Kanwar. He was very helpful in finding our home and never made us feel rushed at any point. He was easy to talk to, always responsive, and made the whole process smooth and comfortable. We highly recommend him!

Negative experience: I wasted an entire summer, throwing thousands of dollars into the trash on a loan. The guy, Adnan Khan, showed no interest in selling the house; he never held an open house on a weekend. One night, a washing machine was stolen. I tried to explain that the company that was supposedly selling the house was responsible. To this day, I haven't received any response; I had to buy a new washing machine. The water line to the washing machine was disconnected, and the water ran for days. I received an email from the City of Cambridge about a crazy bill alert! Now that I've switched companies, my eyes have been opened. I see where I was for months and where I am now. What a huge difference there is now, and how committed the current seller is to their work and gives it 100%.

Fantastic experience: We used Shaw Realty to sell a rental property recently. A few issues came up re: city permits etc that we had to navigate through our lawyers; Shaw was exceptionally knowledgeable in helping us go through that process with the city and our lawyers, and also in negotiations with the buyer. It turned out to be a trickier sale than we anticipated and we were lucky to have chosen an experienced realtor who had the experience we needed.

Negative experience: The real estate agent/owner, SHAW HASYJ, called me, and it seemed accidental, but they were making derogatory remarks about me with someone else, including racial slurs. I'm extremely disappointed with this behavior. AVOID SHAW AT ALL COSTS!

Negative experience: Not able to view any photos of listing unless I register and create an account? Give me a break! Not interested if I have to jump through hoops just to see photos!

Negative experience: Here is an honest review for any serious buyers and serious sellers who would want to deal with these scammers. Read carefully: My agent placed an offer for one of the property listed with Shaw Realty Group. The initial offer date was few days ahead and they all of a sudden closed the offer date to same day. Our offer was on the top and they claimed that the seller will sign it soon, within few hours they stopped all communication with my agent, and never responded back to our emails or calls. The next day we found out that the property was sold to one of the brokers who works at Shaw Realty Group and guess what, the brokers offer exceeded our offer by $1000 and the property was sold to their own team member. This means they disclosed my information, my offer and my financial bid on the property to do a favour to their own team mate and sold off the property to their own brokers. Luckily, my agent was sharp and found out about this scam, god knows how many poor buyers and sellers they have done the same scam and undervalued properties to favour their own teams members. This review is to disclose what this firm is doing with property buyers and sellers.

Fantastic experience: Ajay was the selling agent for my grandfather when he sold his house this past Fall. I helped translate for my 92 year old grandfather, as he doesn't speak English very well. Ajay was excellent at making sure he communicated with both my grandfather and I, and made sure that my grandfather understood what was going on every step of the way. Ajay was very good at making sure my elderly grandfather wasn't too inconvenienced, and that he was physically comfortable with the listing and showing process, by working around his daily routine. I would highly recommend Ajay to work with anyone's elderly relative in the sale of their home, as he is friendly, compassionate, and a professional through and through.

Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend Josh to help you with buying/selling your house. He does not speak the truth about offers, he will say one thing one minute then something else the next. He does some sketchy things to people trying to buy the house he has listed....... not impressed.

Fantastic experience: Sold my house last year. Adnan Khan was my agent, he provided first-class service from start to finish. Adnan was professional, communicated with me when needed, walked me through the process. Usually, selling and/or buying a home is tedious, long and stressful, Adnan was able to remove those attributes from the process and really gave a world-class experience. I never knew the levels of service in the Real Estate industry and how it impacts the experience until I started working with Adnan. He set a high standard and achieved it. I would seek his time if you deal with the brokerage and would 100% highly recommend him to friends and family.

Negative experience: Actually had an awful experience with SHAW. We had recently sold our home and its been nearly 3 months and we've had minimal communication from our realtor throughout the process. Also, the realtor who was representing us came to our home looking a little unprofessional with a black eye. That being said, we are not currently using the sales rep. as our home buyer rep. due to lack of experience and consideration for their clients well being. We have had people walk in to our home while I have been sleeping and try to force me out of my home so they can do a viewing. I honestly don't know where you find these people, but they need to get educated. One of us is currently on sick leave and leaving the home takes a lot of planning. We will never use SHAW ever again after this experience. The sales rep was inconsiderate, covetous, and disingenuous when it came to the home sellers comfort with the timelines. It was an unfortunate experience and we would NOT recommend Shaw Realty based out of Cambridge.

I work with ryan gregnol he was my agent, best man to have around he went above and beyond for me and insured that my expiriance in buying my home went smooth. I would recommend him to anyone if you want someone that will get the job done. He really easy to talk to and professional overall a very good person to work with and I look forward to working with ryan gregnol again in the future. Thank you shaw realty and ryan for everything.

Negative experience: Short story: realtor was more interested in making a sale then making me happy. Due to an oversight I believe to be the realtors fault (read below), I'm now forced to sell my house with large unknown renovation expense I must cover. Long story: I received a cold call from them after visiting their website wasn't serious about buying just wanted to see what the market was like. Signed their contract to get access to MLS. Shaw then sent a staging consultant, Susan Oldford from Interiors Wow Home Staging & Interior Design (5 out of 5 stars for her) to make renovation suggestions to increase our property value. After her visit I relayed her suggestions to my realtor who replied "nice! thats good to hear that the staging went well. lmao!! basement would be a lot of work yes. do you think it would be worth it to finish the basement?" this translates to dont worry about getting the most for your house just sell I want the commission now... (red flag). However, we decided to wait it out due to the contract signed. After sitting down and setting a budget and area with our realtor, we frequently received suggestions outside of our boundaries and budget. By chance, my wife and I fell in love with a house that was for sale by owner and our realtor kindly waved his commission since he never helped us find the property. We now had to sell our property with our relator due to the agreement. We quickly completed the suggested renovations knowing Shaw was sending a photographer in 1 week. Who did an excellent job. All went well until the day before we were accepting offers a buyer's agent brought to my attention that there was an open permit on the property. Conclusion was we need to sell because we are already committed to an offer and we need to fix at any expense to us this permit issue... to me this should have been checked by our realtor from the start. When confronted he refused to apologize or sympathize only saying better now then at the title search. I do not reccomend them.

Negative experience: Trying to renew our mortgage with their mortgage lady was ridiculous. My wife and I decided to go with a variable rate mortgage and the broker said we would get emails from her when rates were changing. Our mortgage has increased twice since we renewed in July and we have not received a single email warning us that the rates were changing. We won't be back in 5 years.

Negative experience: I have received numerous calls asking if I know anyone who wants to sell their home in my area. I have asked them every time to remove me from their calling list as I am on the Do Not Call list, which they apparently don't follow. The last lady I spoke with said she is just trying to help me. How harassing me is helping me I am not sure. The people at Shaw Realty are unprofessional and rude. I would never recommend this company or use this company.

Fantastic experience: Shaw was fantastic to work with. Very prompt, professional and courteous service. He was highly motivated, bringing in many offers and ultimately selling my Mother's home for a better than expected price. The house was sold in a very timely and efficient manner. Communication was easy and he made the process simple and stream-lined. We sincerely appreciate Shaw's hard work in selling the house. I strongly recommend his services. Negative experience: This company is violating the " do not call list" by phoning and asking if you want to see a property for sale. This is a violation of RECO rules, and the do not call legislation. If they cannot follow the Reco code of ethics, would you really trust them with your business?

Negative experience: Harassing and pushy phone calls and sales tactics. I had to register my phone number and email to view a property they had listed. I got a phone call later from them and I advised that I wasn't interested after looking at it on line. Over the next few months I constantly got phone calls asking me about my interests in locating a house. I had bought a property elsewhere and advised them that I wasn't interested and to please stop contacting me. Each time I advised them they stated that they would remove me from the list and not call me again. Sure enough, a few weeks later I would get another call. The last woman I spoke to seemed annoyed that I was getting annoyed and asked me "doesn't these phone calls show how good we are at marketing our homes?" I explained to her that it was just the opposite, that it was unwanted communication and contact and a form of harassment and unwanted phone calls and that I would never consider doing business with them. I advised her I would be leaving this review. This is absolutely ridiculous that they won't leave me alone with their pushy sales tactics and the fact that you need to give them your email and phone number to check out one of their properties in the first place. That should have been the red flag there. I wish I could give them no stars. I guess they are hurting for business / customers.
