Expérience fantastique: I own a townhouse at Gyro Townhomes in the Lower Mission, managed by Associa, and I’ve had an excellent experience with them. Brian, the property manager, is always professional, responsive, and quick to reply. Whenever something needs attention, he follows through and makes sure it gets taken care of. Everyone I’ve dealt with at Associa has been excellent, and the trades and service providers they choose to partner with have also been professional, reliable, and great to work with. I really appreciate the level of care, communication, and follow-through. I would highly recommend Brian and the Associa team to anyone looking for dependable and professional property management in Kelowna.

The partnership between the team assigned to your strata must be strong. Built around mutual respect. I have found this with Associa. In all the partners that I work with, I have found nothing but support. Individuals that are there to help and go out of their way to make sure you are happy. When a problem happens (we are only human), they are resolved as quickly as possible. The knowledge of the Associa team is great. If you need something researched, they will find your answers. Expérience négative: If I could give ZERO, I would. I’ve been handling my mother’s estate for the past year. They refused to issue an invoice for strata fees coming due, which forced the account to go into arrears. When I received the notice of arrears, there was a delinquency charge on the invoice. Additionally, my last name and the mailing address was also incorrect. Very unprofessional.

Expérience négative: The strata managers at Assoica seem to be dropping like flies. Long term employee retention problems possibly? Communication is poor, and responses take far to long for simple requests. An example of this, each email response take around 3-5 business days, and now it has been 3 weeks of trying to ask a simple question. Only to get asked what strata plan and unit I am for the third time in a row....terrible. What makes it even juicier is the strata plan and unit # is in the subject line and previous 4 email's contents...tsk tsk tsk

Carla Malmberg at Associa Strata Management has been our Community Manager during that time and has proven to be very responsive and detailed in her work. She has provided the required services and quotes as we need them and has given invaluable guidance in navigating any challenges we have faced as a Strata council. She has saved us hours of work and I am sure thousands of dollars wiht her guidance. I would absolutely recommend Associa and Carla Malmberg as a Strata Management Company.

Expérience fantastique: Associa has been our Strata Council’s strata management service provider for decades. I like their full service offering (including rental property management services) and educational webinars. Keep up the great work, Laszlo!

Expérience négative: They say they are all about " community" but I have yet to see any of their community strategies or plans. They always have last minute plans and notices that don't give residents time to organize life around when management springs repairs with less than 7 days notice. The strata meetings are always canceled or changed and cost near $1000 because they have to be late in the evening. They aren't helping organize a community atmosphere in our common areas or throughout out the 3 towers. The management company is basically a high end accountant because the actual VOLUNTEER STRATA COUNCIL has to do all the planning and researching of mechanical businesses otherwise Associa hires and pays all these different mechanical company's with the building's/ people's money without even checking the work that's been done!!. We have to continuously check the workmanship of every job because Associa just pays them. Associa doesn't listen at the meetings to actually hear what this building style or personality is. The Strata Council (which is Volunteer) has to work fulltime near 7 days aweek to get proper quotes with descriptions and proper quality control around the biulding. Here's 1 example the jacuzzi has been down drained and in parts for near 2 years. The poor strata council has to have 5 members to keep Associa on track or Associa doesn't listen nor looks into the fine print of jobs. * Burnaby, BC

They’ve stepped into a very difficult situation—cleaning up the mess left behind by our former manager—and already we’re seeing real progress. Our current Strata Manager, Kim Wall, has been outstanding. She’s responsive, professional, and genuinely seems to care about our community. After such a frustrating experience before, it’s a huge relief to work with someone we trust to follow through and act in our best interest. I’m also familiar with David Kent, who manages a separate property I’m involved with (where I’m not on council), and he has been just as professional and reliable in all my interactions with him. Associa is restoring our confidence in what good strata management should look like. Highly recommend.

He has navigated our specific issues with ease and confidence. He aids in our decision making by knowing and understanding all the bylaws and rules related to our building. Expérience négative: I went on the webinar "Community Building" thinking it might be about community building in MY small condo building-where neighbours seem suspicious of one another and the Strata Council seems to do little but squabble and then ask for money. All meetings are now on-line with Associa-that I find cold and impersonal. And make mistakes-I've been double charged a few times. No, the webinar was all about Associa's wonderful financial support, scholarships, and community building for their employees-especially the ones in Texas. I feel sick. I think I posted this on the wrong site...I'm in Vancouver, not Kelowna...but I'm seeing some reviews here that I can relate to....

Expérience négative: Literally the worst company I've dealt with in Kelowna. As a business owner as well as an owner in one of their buildings they managed, I can confidently say that they are unprofessional and severely unorganized. We had a new property manager several times per year, it was horrible getting a hold of someone to solve issues. They didn't follow the strata rules when issues occurred as far as fixing things like plumbing etc. If you're buying a condo with them as the strata company - I would be cautious. I personally will never buy again if they are involved.

Expérience négative: I strongly advise against living anywhere managed by Associa. During my wife's time at The Verve, managed by Associa, someone within the building threatened to STEAL HER DOG, and the property management "professionals" ignored her COMPLETELY. This was just one of the many issues she's recently had to face while living here. The management, particularly David Kent, displayed a shocking lack of professionalism, bullying and speaking down to her. However, when talking to me, he was more than happy to be civil, which proves his power tripping over her. For your safety and peace of mind, I urge you to consider other options.

Expérience négative: Strata manager - Arthur Han. I keep emailing our strata manager regarding my claim but recently he never replied. My claim was approved by the strata council. I had a copy of his email telling me that my claim was approved and he was going to process it to have the check. Can you please look into it? Thank you (unit owner)

Expérience négative: One star is too many, I was assaulted and threatened on the Strata property by a contractor and they do not care. They do not answer emails and ignore you.

Expérience fantastique: Our strata has dealt with Associa in Kelowna for two years and have been very pleased with their services. As president, I value their timely communication and the knowledge of the staff (including our excellent manager, Carla). The financial packages are accurate and give a great handle on things for both council and owners. The Townsquare app allows for communication between owners and with Associa. We have also used Associa with a strata in Vancouver and they provide the same excellent service.

They provide a wealth of resource information through their website or the TownSq site that they created for our strata. We transitioned to them from another company and remain very pleased with that decision.

They have to know about plumbing, and landscaping, and rental law, and strata law, and the privacy act, and roofing, and smoking and on and on......I admire their skills.

The budgeting numbers were spot on and their fees are more than competitive. They even saved us money through their discounted vendor rates.
