Expérience négative: Deborah has allowed the complete deterioration of the white water trailer park on Paris Street. Not only does it look like a homeless encampment in some trailers, there is non stop ongoing drug transactions and shady characters (non residents) coming and going at all times of the day and night, regular police presence, loud fights and screaming, garbage EVERYWHERE around the park, shopping carts abandoned, not to mention backyard breeding with very aggressive dogs that are constantly getting loose. Deborah has been made aware of the situation and safety concerns for years now and has refused to take any action whatsoever. She won’t even respond to complains anymore. People are blasting her and Remax all over Facebook and rightfully so. Would not recommend. This place is becoming a junkyard. But hey, as long as Deborah gets paid, she doesn’t care.

Expérience négative: They should get rid of their worker named Nikki. She’s unprofessional at her job. She never gets back to people. You can barely get a hold of her. She’s overly opinionated and she’s rude.

Expérience négative: I just had a very disappointing and alarming encounter with someone on works for or with Remax (a tall grey haired caucasian man with a white truck). I was walking my dog past Remax and he peed on one of the bushes on the very edge (a bush next to the sidewalk) when the aforementioned man came and verbally accosted us. I am a responsible pet owner and ALWAYS pick up after my dog, but he peed on a bush next to the sidewalk and this man was extremely rude (I broke no rules or bylaws). I have had favorable dealings with Remax in the past, but this has put a very sour taste in my mouth and would not recommend this particular branch for your real estate needs if you are wanting to work with a branch that priortizes patience, kindness, and consideration.

Expérience fantastique: James Duri at RE/MAX Penticton Realty is a professional property manager who's quick to deal with any issues that arise and easy to get ahold of. Would highly recommend. He made our stressful moving process very breezy.

Expérience négative: This reality group demolished a beautiful, historical home to build an artless fishbowl in a residential neighborhood worthy of upkeep and revitalization. They were culturally and esthetically destructive in what they took from our town and emotionally polluting in what they replaced it with. I don't consider this a very good CV for community building or helping people find a home, unless of course, you like fishbowls.

Expérience négative: The rental property management division of this RE/MAX has taken money out of a private bank account after the tenancy was completed. Now they say their hands are tied and there is no recourse. Oops my bad. $2800 stolen from the couples’ account on Thursday. The agent laughed like it was joke. The account has been frozen by the bank so they won’t be able to accept debit or credit at their shop for If you have any questions about this review phone Liz the manager and while you are at it ask if Nicky Morris the agent has been fired yet. They haven’t paid their $2800 damage deposit back yet either.

Expérience négative: James Duri will ignore every email until you CC Re/max inquiring why you have not received a response from James on serious matters. Every issue emailed their excuse is "it ended up in our JUNK bin." Very unprofessional. Watch out they will keep your damage deposit anyway possible even when you get a professional clean moving out. Only positive comment on his page is from Nikki Morris which is hilarious because she works for James and the RE/MAX team. Highly recommend looking for rental elsewhere. Horrible experience with RE/MAX.

Expérience fantastique: What a fantastic experience it was using Chad Meilke! After using many realtors over the years my general opinion was not great. Chad totally changed my view on what a good hard working realtor is and how he worked for us not just for himself. He was honest, upfront, professional, an excellent communicator and even put on a pair of work gloves and worked hard one day close to closing date. We live out of town and Chad made our difficult job of selling our parents home an absolute pleasure. I intend on using Chad again to sell my wife’s mom’s place in the near future. Chad is 5+ ⭐️ !

He has been patient for many years waiting for us to be able to make it here and find us the right home. We have come to Penticton on several occasions to look for a home and he was nothing short of amazing, showing us everything we wanted to see. When we finally found our home in Penticton, Shannon has been here every step of the way to help with everything that needed to be done and then some. He offered great advice and has been helping deal with the builders with all the little tweaks at the place. Expérience fantastique: Darlene and I had the good fortune of meeting Gina while we were viewing an open house. We had viewed some properties on line and asked about viewing them as well. Gina arranged to meet us and show us those properties and we found one we really liked. Gina is very thorough and efficient. Because we were new to the area, Gina referred us to many good local people who have helped us with a variety of services which has made our transition to Penticton even smoother.

Despite a difficult and slow real estate market Shannon and Liza were able to sell our home at a competive price. They put so much work and effort into listing and photographing our prpoerty. Providing updates on social media. We were more than 100% satisfied with this team.

I've had the utmost resentment for this company because of dealing with her. Worst Company ever, Because of this interaction, I would never deal with this company willingly.

Expérience négative: Eanie Sheridan fraudulently leased a space to me & It was never ready on time, when i refused to accept extrnsion & asked for my deposit back he & landlord stopped replying. I called in the office Debra said she will look into it , Then she never called me back. I called back in the office that I did not hear anything, she called back & said that I refused the deal because i left the space after taking possession where i never got possession. This was her research as a broker manager. I asked will i hear back she said i don't know, This is their professionalism. My deposit is stil stuck. These people who lied has no answer.

Expérience négative: I rented a unit for 1 year. I asked to leave early, the owner agreed as I moved in with my partner. Debbie was unprofessional and incompetent. The day of my move out inspection, after it was completed and after we had weekly discussions regarding the status of me being able to leave, she told me I had to pay a half month for 'admin fees' for leaving early. (She also accused me of smoking inside...the owners were appalled to hear such an accusation about me) The owner of my unit(who lives upstairs!) had to tell this company that I would NOT be paying $750 to move out 1 month early. She stated those fees are paid by every tenant who leaves early because the owners would be charged the admin fee for bringing in a new tenant. I gave 3 month's notice, I had to post my listing to Facebook and get potential tenants as I was also told I couldn't move out without penalty unless a new tenant was found. I was told for 2 months no 'good' candidates had put in an application to rent my unit. (In a rental crisis? Can't find a tenant??) 1 week before I moved out they suddenly found a tenant. I had to fight for my deposit back and it was not returned for 2 months, it was 'lost' in the mail. I had started a claim with the RTB. Do NOT rent from this company.

Expérience négative: James Duri rented a place to me on Ellis street and I moved out when the lease was done. October to October! He was never available to do a walk out, my family even tried to connect with him to do this after I had gone and no response! He refused to send me receipts for (Damages) he says I had done. There were claw marks on the door from a previous tenants dog and a closet in the master bedroom that was broken previous to me moving in! Do not rent from him!! You will not receive any of your damage deposit back unless you take him to the landlord tenancy act! It’s been two months since I’ve moved out and I even tried to talk to someone else and they just said they were sorry and couldn’t help me…. He’s a total crook!

Expérience négative: Stanmar are a bunch of disorganized, thieving crooks...believe I heard they finally were ousted from property management? Hopefully that's the case, with hundreds of residents having been improperly billed and subsequently threatened over the years. 8 years of fighting with them, for me to sell my comfy home in exasperation at their mismanagement.

Expérience négative: Worst experience of my entire renting career dealing with these clowns. 4 months after moving out of a unit I ended up randomly getting put onto there EFT list again (electric funds transfer). This means my account got charged 2100$ Monthly (old rent). This made it so as a single parent I couldn’t afford my actual legitimate rent. This has been an ongoing problem for almost a week now, remax themselves has done nothing helpful in the slightest with this situation and instead rely on me fixing there mistakes. If I could give any advice to those renting around the okanogan it’s to not go through this company, rent is higher with them, and A LOT more trouble then it’s worth

Expérience fantastique: Well first we started with Eileen who gave us a real good overview of the different cities in the South Okanogan. Then, to look in Penticton, we dealt with Karrie Grewal. Very pleasant and informative, she told us about all the 55 plus places in Penticton and their characteristics' - this was very helpful in our search. She narrowed it down so that we only got listings we were interested in. Karrie and her husband showed us a couple of places. Even though they were very busy they met our restrictive timelines. She helped us with an offer on one place which got too competitive. Then on the way home we got a listing we liked and so her and her husband did a 'facetime' tour of the location. She helped us put in a great offer that saved us money and we got the place. On possession day she met us there but the keys wouldn't work because someone locked the screen door so she called around and resolved the issue within an hour. Later we got a beautiful basket of wine and goodies. Thank you team, especially you Karrie.

Expérience fantastique: What a great welcome to Penticton!! Karrie and Paul went out of their way to show us all the different areas of Penticton before we made our decision where to live. Even though the Covid 19 pandemic made it more difficult, Karrie was always able to make timely appointments for viewings whilst taking care to uphold all the required health restrictions for both seller and buyer (providing us with sanitizers, masks, and bootees). Karrie also had an uncanny ability to recognize what I liked and didn't like about about a place. She and Paul were always available, no matter how often we had questions or concerns, always professional, and always friendly.

Except for collecting and depositing our strata cheques they offer no services what so ever. Most calls into their office result in no call backs or no answers to your queries. Unfortunately it is the choice of management company of the developer.

Expérience négative: I do not want to even leave 1 star for this business. I have had the worst experience and run around from Stanmar. They were managing a newer subdivision strata. I needed a copy of a receipt, as I paid in cash for my strata dues months ago. I called, and emailed numerous times to get this duplicate receipt. Each time, getting excuse after excuse. They apparently have no record of all my cash transactions. They were unable to locate their books from that subdivision. How convenient. Running a very shady business here. Once they were let go from this property, they refused to hand over books they had, to state that people had already paid their dues. I would not recommend using Stanmar to anyone! Unprofessional, and unwilling to help.

Been ongoing since we moved in, emailed, called and attended meetings to resolve the issue with Stanmar services giving us the run around for over 5 months now...he actually told me he is in charge of 1500 rentals, like I care. We pay you, you fix our concerns ..end of story. The pigeons are living in our attic space, with so much pigeon excrement that our soffit is falling off our 3 year old townhouse, we can't sit on our deck and it's a serious health violation and I am worried about our babies health.

I've witnessed tenants crying because they are so stressed about leaking roofs and mold with NO help or response . Stan only cares about money and has no respect for people or humanity . Expérience négative: If you are looking to rent never deal with this company once you move it to one of the properties this company is paid to look after you are on you own there will be no lawn ,snow ,electric , or any other type of maintenance a landlord is supposed to maintain even if it is a50 foot weeping willow that cracked down the centre and you have waited 5 months and phoned the office at least 5 times regarding this matter where each time you are told to put a work order in even if it dangerously close to falling on your mobile home to burnt out securely lights and no matter how many times you put in a work order for these complaints they never get fixed.So all I can say is if you see a apartment ,or house advertised by this company run as fast as possible in the opposite direction away anything to do with those people.

" - Stan Andrews,President Mr Andrews shows no evidence of care for the properties he looks after or the residents who live there - it's all about the bucks. Maintenance is shoddy, complaints are ignored, and property values sink because basic work is not done. I honestly don't know why any company would hire him to manage their properties, unless like them, it's all about the bucks and nothing else - no integrity, no pride in their work, no wish to serve the customers who make them rich. Very short-sighted, as people are less likely to buy when private roads are not maintained, trees and bushes not trimmed, snow and gravel aren't cleared in a timely fashion, etc. The staff in the office are quite pleasant - it's their employer who is the issue.
